Attorney Corey Stern of Levy Konigsberg Takes on Rockefeller University Hospital for Its Role in Decades of Alleged Sexual Abuse by Dr. Reginald Archibald

Corey Stern, a partner at Levy Konigsberg, LLP, now represents 18 individuals that were allegedly sexually abused by Dr. Reginald Archibald over at least 3 decades while employed by Rockefeller University Hospital (“RUH”). Stern has thus far filed multiple lawsuits, including Poppel v. Rockefeller (United States District Court – Southern District of New York, No. 1:19-cv-01403), the first case filed against the University.

Ignite Visibility Unveils the Ignite 100, Highlighting the Best Tools in Digital Marketing in 2019

This year, Ignite Visibility set out to find the top tools and software in digital marketing.

The goal wasn’t to put out another cookie-cutter, big brand-driven list of the top names in marketing. Instead, they wanted a meaningful compilation of digital marketing tools that took newer, niche tools, and big names alike into consideration. Built on what real marketers are saying and using, Ignite Visibility wanted to share this all in time for 2020 marketing planning.

To do so, they scoured the market and called on the public to submit their favorites for consideration.

Now, the results are in.

This carefully compiled list is designed to help businesses of all sizes find the software best suited to their marketing needs – from SEO and paid media to social media, email marketing automation, analytics, funnels and more.

That range is well-represented on the Ignite 100, with top placements spanning e-commerce CRMs, cross-channel messaging platforms, email marketing, conversion rate optimization, local marketing, and much more.

“This list represents some of the best digital marketing software solutions on the scene,” says Ignite Visibility CEO and Co-Founder John Lincoln, “Ignite Visibility reviews hundreds of marketing tools and software every year, and this year, we wanted the whole world to participate. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and are excited to recognize the winners as part of the inaugural Ignite 100 list.”

Starting on June 24, 2019, companies were asked to submit their software for consideration. Each was asked to submit the following:

  • A 200-word unique description
  • Price range
  • Three things that make the software unique
  • Who the software is intended for
  • Number of users
  • Year founded
  • Company CEO

The submissions rolled in over a two-month period, ending on August 20, 2019, and the public was encouraged to vote for their favorites along the way.

Winners were ultimately chosen based on the number of votes received from the public, the number of positive reviews online, and input from a panel of digital marketing experts.

To celebrate this momentous achievement, winners will be awarded and given the opportunity to speak at an upcoming event in San Diego on October 25, 2019.

Without further ado, here is the 2019 Ignite 100 top 10:

1. Drip – an e-commerce customer relationship management platform that gives online shops incomparable insight into what their customers are perusing, clicking, and craving.

2. Pushnami – an AI-powered cross-channel messaging platform that enables browser-based push notifications, email marketing, and Facebook Messaging.

Virtudent to Present at Third Annual Startup Boston Week

News Image

It’s been great watching Virtudent grow within the Newton Innovation Center and I’m excited to see how they continue to evolve their services, making it easier for people to get the care they need so much more conveniently, Mark Moreau, General Manager of CIC’s Massachusetts campus.

In 2014, Virtudent, Inc. (http://www.virtudent.com), the leading provider of teledentistry services for employers, became the first commercial teledentistry practice in the United States. Now, the organization is sharing what they’ve learned since becoming an award-winning startup with other hub entrepreneurs, company leaders, innovators and industry experts next week at CIC as part of the 3rd annual Startup Boston Week. The event will gather thousands of individuals to partake in over 50 educational events happening throughout the city.

According to Mark Moreau, General Manager of CIC’s Massachusetts campus, “Cambridge Innovation Center is pleased to host Virtudent along with over 50 events taking place at CIC Boston as part of Startup Boston Week from September 16 to 20. We foster innovation and build communities that help entrepreneurs find solutions to solve the world’s problems. It’s been great watching Virtudent grow within the Newton Innovation Center and I’m excited to see how they continue to evolve their services, making it easier for people to get the care they need so much more conveniently.”

As part of the event, Virtudent thought leaders will direct sessions designed to broaden attendees’ knowledge of customer success, support, product and design.

On September 17, 2019 from noon – 1:30 pm, Debbie Kenny, VP of Customer Success for Virtudent will moderate To Automate or Not to Automate: Technical Automation vs. The Human Touch. The session is designed to provide insight on when it’s time for entrepreneurs to consider automating their success and support departments. Kenny will share her over 30 years of startup and technology experience to lead an enlightening panel discussion with other customer success and support leaders.

On September 19, 2019 from 1:45 – 3:15 pm, Sapna Tyagi, VP of Product for Virtudent will participate in a lightning talk session, Evolution of a Product: How to Measure Response and Enable Success, in which she will walk attendees through the earliest version of Virtudent’s solution and important lessons learned throughout the product development lifecycle. Tyagi oversees the product, engineering and business intelligence functions at Virtudent using her 20 years of experience working for Microsoft, TripAdvisor and Care.com.

The Virtudent offering brings the diagnostic and preventive services typically performed at a dentist’s office – including a complete oral health exam, cleaning and X-rays – right to the patient’s workplace. The service is designed to help patients stay healthier and promote preventive oral health by reducing barriers to care and the possibility of more costly and time-consuming procedures in the future. Since launching in 2014, the company’s innovative business model has earned them a number of accolades, including as winners of the Harvard Innovation Labs President’s Challenge, the Tufts 100K and MassChallenge.

“Over the past five years, we’ve grown rapidly from our origins in Boston, bringing oral health care to thousands of patients throughout New England, as well as in New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington – many of whom have never been to the dentist. This impact we are having on the lives of so many would not be possible if it weren’t for the support and mentorship we’ve received from the Boston startup ecosystem,” said Hitesh Tolani, DMD, founder of Virtudent who was recently named a Global Good Fund Fellow. “With social responsibility and giving back being a key part of our mission, we welcome the opportunity to have key members of our leadership team give back and share their expertise with others.”

Both sessions will take place at CIC in Boston, which is located at 50 Milk Street, 20th Floor, Lighthouse West. To register or for more information, go to http://startupbos.org/.

ShoreView Moving and Storage and Bayshore Help Deliver Over 112,000 Pounds of Food to Local Food Banks

ShoreView Moving and Storage and Bayshore teamed up with Move for Hunger in May to deliver thousands of pounds of non-perishable foods to families in need as part of the 27th annual Letter Carrier’s Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive.

The two moving companies received donations collected by postal workers in May 2019 during their local mail routes. The moving teams at Shoreview and Bayshore helped to transport over 112,000 pounds of non-perishable goods from the Stamp Out Hunger® food drive this summer, equivalent to 93,000 meals.

According to Move for Hunger, an organization that connects moving companies to communities in need, food banks face their greatest need during Summer months when low-income children are no longer receiving free or reduced cost meals from school. Summer being “moving season”, is the best time for moving companies to collect the greatest amount of non-perishable food items. Movers, like ShoreView, ask their customers to set aside any non-perishable foods that the families are not bringing with them to their new home.

The Stamp Out Hunger campaign allows letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities across the U.S. collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and at local post offices every second Saturday in May. Moving companies like ShoreView and Bayshore donated their time to ensure these donations reach communities in need by delivering the food items to local food banks.

Last Call for “Holiday in Humboldt with Hard Luck Mfg. and Friends”

Flyer for Holiday in Humboldt

At “Holiday in Humboldt,” skaters from the local community will join forces with special guests from other parts of California to raise funds for new skateparks in Humboldt County

“Events like Holiday in Humboldt boost the economy and enhance our community,” said Hannah Whyte, Emerald Queen Farms. “We live in Humboldt and are always thinking about ways to help to capture more visitor dollars and enable our rural community to thrive.”

Humboldt Skatepark Collective, along with numerous business sponsors, will host its annual fundraiser, “Holiday in Humboldt with Hard Luck Mfg. and Friends,” on Saturday, September 14 from 10:00 am-6:00 pm PT at Cooper’s Gulch Skatepark, 1720 10th Street in Eureka, CA.

“Humboldt Skatepark Collective is developing a more robust network of skateparks on the North Coast, and boosting awareness of skateboarding as an outdoor recreational sport in Humboldt County,” said Charlie Caldwell, Executive Director, Humboldt Skatepark Collective. “With skateboarding scheduled to debut in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, the time has never been better to spread the word about skateboarding as a well-respected and fully embraced sport in Humboldt.”

At Holiday in Humboldt, skaters from the local community will join forces with special guests from other parts of California to raise funds for new skateparks in Humboldt County. The event will feature a professional skating demonstration with a number of high-profile skaters, such as Jason Jessee, Jaws (Aaron Homoki), Evan Smith, Monica Torres, Wes Kremer, Jake Brown, Kiade Huston, Jimmy Cao, Figgy, Chelsea Castro, Chris Blake, Janthavy, Eli Williams, Brian (Slash) Henson, Ethan Loy and many more special guests.

The “Holiday in Humboldt” event is sponsored by a number of leading skate brands, including Hard Luck, Thrasher Magazine, Santa Cruz/NHS Fun Factory, Toy Machine, Vans and Ace Trucks, as well as a number of high-quality craft cannabis producers from Humboldt County, including Emerald Queen Farms, Barrett Farms, Aloha Humboldt, Trinity Sungrown Humboldt Terp Council, Papa and Barkley, and True Humboldt.

“Holiday in Humboldt is our 2nd annual competition and fundraiser, we know from last year’s success that this will become an anticipated event going forward,” said Hannah Whyte, Emerald Queen Farms. “Calling the fundraiser ‘Holiday in Humboldt’ is a play on how we are working to bring the skate community together off the beaten path for a trip to Humboldt, reckoning our community a destination for all things outdoors, including skating. The North Coast is such a beautiful place to live, and this is just one more reason to visit. Events like Holiday in Humboldt boost the economy and enhance our community. We live in Humboldt and care deeply about the health and success of the community, so we are always thinking about ways we can help to capture more visitor dollars and enable our rural community to thrive. This event is about furthering the collective good.”

The event will include a competition for local skaters, along with great food, local craft beer, and music. Dj Goldilocks will be pumping the tunes all Saturday at the event. North town coffee will provide the food for Saturday with beer from Redwood Curtain and Mad River brewery. It’s Alive kombucha will be serving local brew kombucha and Pharlee will play the after party, along with Oakland favorite Elderly Abuse.

The mission of Humboldt Skatepark Collective is to develop a more robust network of skateparks on the North Coast, and boost awareness of skateboarding as an outdoor recreational sport in Humboldt County. Proceeds will go toward building new skateparks in Humboldt, park enhancements and expansions at Willow Creek and other locations, and providing skateboards, helmets, and other gear for kids.
