Isagenix Energy Drink Is Company’s Most Successful Permanent Product Launch

https://www.prweb.com/

BĒA has 125 milligrams of naturally sourced caffeine from green tea and is made with raw nutrients and vitamins sourced from fruits and vegetables.

Consumers can now boost their energy levels more naturally with ingredients that are a step up from what you typically find in this drink category. This is tremendously important given so many people are paying close attention to what they put into their bodies. – Joshua Plant, Ph.D., Isagenix CSO

A new, healthier energy drink that can help consumers jump-start their day, power through work, or perk up in the afternoon had a historic debut for global health and wellness company Isagenix International. BĒA™ Sparkling Energy Drink had the best first-day performance of any permanent Isagenix product, with sales 10 times greater than first-day sales for e+™, the company’s popular long-lasting energy shot that launched in 2013.

Isagenix created BĒA — a ready-to-drink beverage whose name stands for botanical energy plus adaptogens — to both energize and nourish the body.

“After analyzing the energy drink market, we identified a strong need for a healthier caffeinated beverage, and BĒA delivers,” said Joshua Plant, Ph.D., Isagenix chief science officer and chairman of the company’s Scientific Advisory Board. “Consumers can now boost their energy levels more naturally with ingredients that are a step up from what you typically find in this drink category. This is tremendously important given so many people are paying close attention to what they put into their bodies.”

Available in a Berry Bellini flavor, BĒA has 125 milligrams of naturally sourced caffeine from green tea and is made with raw nutrients and vitamins sourced from fruits and vegetables including beets, spinach, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, oranges, apples, strawberries, and maitake and shiitake mushrooms. It also features botanical antioxidants as well as adaptogens, such as ashwagandha, that can help fight stress.†

“Another factor that sets BĒA apart is it has 10 calories, less than 1 gram of sugar, and no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners,” Plant said. “Consumers can enjoy this drink without feeling bad about what’s in it.”

By launching BĒA, Isagenix strengthened its position in the growing energy drinks market, which the company entered in 2013 with e+. In the United States, that market is expected to reach $26.9 billion by 2025, progressing at a compound annual growth rate of 7.2% during the forecast period of 2017-2025, according to a report from Grand View Research Inc., a market research and consulting business.

Isagenix Chief Executive Officer Travis Ogden said debuting its first full-size energy drink not only helps the company attract consumers who have not tried Isagenix before but also helps it best serve existing customers.

“Our customers look to us for products that help them make healthy changes, so creating a healthier energy drink that features the high-quality, no-compromise ingredients people have come to expect from Isagenix made sense,” Ogden said. “We’ve received fantastic feedback so far. If the early response is any indication, we expect BĒA to be a game changer for our company, our customers, and the energy drinks market.”

While customers can purchase BĒA directly from Isagenix, the company recommends ordering through independent distributors. Preferred customer pricing is $39.99 for a 12-pack, and 5% of all profits will help the ISA Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by Isagenix — provide healthy nutrition and support to underserved children, wellness education for all, and aid for those affected by natural disasters.

NoteSwift announces powerful new Samantha OnePage for Allscripts Professional EHR

Samantha is providing physicians a simple and powerful way to make EHR entry quicker and more accurate than manual entry, scribe entry, or transcription services

NoteSwift, a leading provider of AI solutions to ease the burden and increase the accuracy of entering patient documentation into the EHR, is pleased to announce the launch of its OnePage technology in Samantha for Allscripts Professional. This powerful new functionality significantly improves the user experience within Samantha and offers physicians more functionality and consistency to further reduce the time and clicks it takes to enter and update patient documentation.

Samantha OnePage offers providers a number of benefits to make EHR entry simpler:

  • Access to your template list for Review of Systems and Physical Exam on one screen, including previously applied templates, so you don’t have to remember the names.
  • Visibility to the contents of Review of Systems and Physical Exam templates so you can see what changes need to be made.
  • Easier workflow to display and amend previous encounters with new or updated information.
  • Full control of the input process from a single screen.
  • Improved and expanded AI functionality and accuracy.
  • A simple and intuitive user interface for easier use and less training time.

“I love the look and ease of the new Samantha OnePage,” says Dr Rathkopf of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Center of Alaska. “Being able to see and edit the contents of our templates, I now can use Samantha for my returning patients as well as new patients. This is a major upgrade and is saving me many hours!”

“Samantha is providing physicians a simple and powerful way to make EHR entry quicker and more accurate than manual entry, scribe entry, or transcription services,” according to Wayne Crandall, President and CEO of Noteswift. “With Samantha OnePage for Allscripts Professional EHR, we’ve further simplified the flow for providers to create new notes or update/amend existing patient notes in seconds, without having to navigate through all the screens of the EHR.”

The OnePage interface is the result of a year-long study receiving input from hundreds of providers and watching their EHR workflow. The key learning from this research is that EHRs continue to be cumbersome and frustrating to use, and the technology innovations added to Samantha OnePage can dramatically improve provider satisfaction with their EHR and enable more face time with their patients.

“According to many studies, physicians are burning out in record numbers across our country, largely due to the burden of administration and EHR entry,” says Crandall. “With Samantha, our goal is to support providers, reduce physician burnout, and ultimately help physicians offer better care to patients by helping them spend less time on computers and more face time with their patients.”

About Noteswift, Inc.

Noteswift was founded by practicing neurologist Dr. Chris Russell to improve efficiency and productivity within his own practice. Dr. Russell’s unique combination of medical expertise and software development experience helped him develop the revolutionary Noteswift products that integrate EHR entry with AI-powered speech recognition solutions.

In 2017, Noteswift launched the next evolution of Dr. Russell’s vision, called Samantha. Because Samantha enables providers to complete patient notes easily – intelligently identifying the structured data elements within the narrative text, automatically assigning all required codes, and seamlessly integrating with the EHR – providers can not only complete patient documentation faster, but also more accurately.

How to Achieve Alignment and Optimal Clinical Trial Supply Forecasting With a Single Source of Truth, Upcoming Webinar Hosted by Xtalks

https://www.prweb.com/

Xtalks Life Science Webinars

By having a single source of truth, each collaborator can transparently access the latest clinical forecasts as well as up-to-date data including enrollment and dropout rate, titrations probabilities, future productions, etc.

A clinical trial usually involves many different parties, who are not always used to communicating with each other: study managers, principal investigators, supply chain managers, manufacturers, IRT, CRAs and so on. Lack of communication can cause misunderstandings if a party is not informed of the latest data, potentially leading to patient risk.

By having a single source of truth, each collaborator can transparently access the latest clinical forecasts as well as up-to-date data including enrollment and dropout rate, titrations probabilities, future productions, etc. The reliability of this information is a must as it plays a fundamental role in the clinical supply strategy, as well as planning including distribution, packaging, manufacturing and sampling.

Join Head of Solutions Adoption, Life Sciences at N-SIDE, Amaury Jeandrain and N-SIDE Consultant, Pauline Deplasse in a live session on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 10am EST (3pm GMT/UK) to learn about the benefits of having a single source of truth when managing clinical operations.

If everyone agrees on this single source of truth, the resulting forecasts can legitimately be used across the organization for resource planning activities, decision-making, vendor management, etc. through strategic visualization dashboards.

When changes occur, such as faster enrollment, batch losses, shipping delays, new countries in the trial, real-time monitoring and updating clinical trial supply forecasts, using real-time data allows the single source of truth to stay current. This enables everyone across the organization to adapt their planning in order to mitigate the unexpected risk, ensuring patients will receive their medication on time while minimizing the costs.

The featured speakers will discuss how to get clinical trial stakeholders on the same page, using a single source of truth for patient behavior, demand forecast, production/distribution plans and inventory management.

For more information or to register for this event, visit How to Achieve Alignment and Optimal Clinical Trial Supply Forecasting With a Single Source of Truth.

NCES and CoachCare Announce Partnership to Provide Digital Nutrition Resources for Clinics and Their Patients

https://www.prweb.com/

NCES Partners With CoachCare

One obvious benefit of providing nutritional and other educational content directly into our healthcare mobile apps is that it can help patients stay motivated in their programs when they are away from the clinic or are not getting direct coaching.

NCES has recently partnered with CoachCare, a technology startup that offers a digital health platform for weight loss physicians, coaches and their patients.

NCES will collaborate with CoachCare to customize a dynamic, nutritional content repository to support the contemporary coaching needs for health clinics and their patients. The content will be available through CoachCare’s custom-branded physician dashboard and patient mobile apps, and will offer a combined health coaching and self-learning solution for clinics and patients. The content will target the impact of nutrition and healthy activities necessary for improving overall quality of life for patients, and will focus attention on chronic diseases, including obesity and pain management.

“We find that patient’s really want to be proactive when it comes to their programs, their coaching and their health,” says Carol Duke, Director of Marketing for CoachCare. “One obvious benefit of providing nutritional and other educational content directly into our healthcare mobile apps is that it can help patients stay motivated in their programs when they are away from the clinic or are not getting direct coaching.”

CoachCare will now support a library of general nutrition and exercise education that patients can review any time of day through their mobile apps, along with education related to more specific health issues they might be experiencing, including morbid obesity, sugar intolerance, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, renal failure and more.

“Many chronic conditions are directly impacted by nutrition and lifestyle choices, many of which are life-long habits that must be modified,” says Carrie Mark, NCES Registered Dietitian. “We believe CoachCare is a fantastic way to reach patients who are actively trying to modify their lifestyles and be successful in their programs.”

NCES products ensure patients get the most out of education, counseling and daily health maintenance by creating the critical connections in behavior and symptom control. NCES products target the teaching and educational needs for health professionals working directly with patients, as well as take-home products for patients who require ongoing reminders and behavior management support.

All NCES solutions are simple and easy to introduce and solutions can be implemented throughout the healthcare setting. “We make nutrition education and behavior management easy,” says Chris Jackson, CEO of NCES. “NCES products are high quality and receive great responses in satisfaction surveys.”

An official partnership launch will take place at Obesity Week in Las Vegas, NV on November 4-8. Stop by CoachCare’s booth #641 and learn more about the partnership here.

New PAHRC Research Shows That Children Living in Assisted Homes Are Starting a Step Behind Their Low-Income, Unassisted Peers on the Road to Educational Success

Access to the internet and books, enrichment activities, learning supports such as eyeglasses and nutritious meals, and programs tailored to children who have learning disabilities or special needs can help assisted children overcome some of the obstacles they face.

Public and affordable housing programs provide housing stability to low-income families and serve our most vulnerable populations—those groups that face the greatest challenges, like poor health, domestic upheaval, and under-developed labor market skills, as well as financial setbacks. New research by the Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation (PAHRC) shows that children whose parents seek out and receive housing assistance are already facing more barriers to educational success, on average, than their low-income, unassisted peers.

The study, titled “A Platform to Learn: How Housing Programs Can Support the Educational Needs of Children Living in Publicly Supported Housing,” showed that children living in homes made affordable through public programs have higher rates of learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, and emotional disturbances, as well as higher rates of illnesses like asthma, and higher rates of potential environmental stressors that can detract from educational achievement. They also have less access to quality schools, the internet, and enrichment activities that support better learning outcomes than do their low-income, unassisted peers.

The study authors found that the main barriers holding housing-assisted children back are learning disabilities and related conditions, environmental stressors, food insecurity, and a lack of access to educational tools and enrichment opportunities.

Despite these barriers, the research also found that housing assistance is linked to fewer school absences, better healthcare access, and higher rates of parental involvement in school for children living in publicly supported homes compared to their low-income, unassisted peers.

Housing providers can help improve the educational outcomes of more children who reside on their properties by working with community partners to offer assistance that targets the barriers these children face. “Access to the internet and books, enrichment activities, learning supports such as eyeglasses and nutritious meals, and programs tailored to children who have learning disabilities or special needs can help assisted children overcome some of the obstacles they face,” said Keely Stater, Ph.D., PAHRC’s Director of Research and Industry Intelligence and the study’s lead author. “Programs that help parents navigate their children’s educational experience, like those that facilitate connections with schools or with behavioral health professionals who deal with learning disabilities, and those that can connect students to opportunities they may not have access to can also help more assisted students succeed.”

NOLS Announces Winter Wilderness Travel Adventures for Adults that Teach Serious Outdoor Skills from Patagonia to Wyoming Backcountry

https://www.prweb.com/

Travelers gain sea kayaking skills navigating Patagonia’s coastline and immerse in local culture on NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) 14-day expedition (photo by Jordan Cranch/NOLS).

This winter, NOLS is challenging adults with an array of skill-building expeditions, including kayaking on Chile’s coastal fjords.

Experience has become a travel must-have in recent years with immersive travel topping trend lists. “The hottest souvenir to bring back from a trip is a new skill … enriching [travelers’] lives beyond the trip,” TripAdvisor declared in its 2019 trend report, while Conde Nast Traveler coined the name “Intrepid Journeys” for these “more challenging adventures” characterized by “embracing fears, experiencing discomfort and taking on ambitious physical activities.” And where better to search out the ultimate in transformative, experiential travel adventure than NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School), the leader in wilderness education for more than 50 years.

This winter, NOLS is challenging adults with an array of skill-building expeditions, including the opportunity to escape grey cityscapes for blue waters while kayaking on Chile’s coastal fjords. The 14-day Patagonia Sea Kayaking Expedition is one NOLS adventure geared toward individuals 23 years and older. Offered Feb. 21- Mar. 5, 2020, the course not only transforms beginners into confident paddlers, but will also help develop leadership abilities and cultural competency.

This immersive travel opportunity unlocks some of Chile’s wildest landscapes to explore, including Patagonia’s lush temperate rainforest, abundant waterfalls and even glimpses of the distant glaciers that carved this spectacular region. Knowledgeable instructors help travelers master the fundamentals of paddling. And as the course makes its way along the coast, travelers will also have the opportunity to visit coastal communities and learn about their way of life – and will leave Chile with sharpened leadership and communication skills as well as an appreciation for the dynamic wind and sea conditions of the area.

Additional adult winter courses provide a variety of available destinations, dates and skills. Also in February, a week-long Baja Coastal Sailing course offers another way to reconnect with the sea in winter. Beginning with the basics, this expedition is perfect for the novice sailor looking to get away from the cold and spend days exploring quiet sea coves and relaxing on a beach under the stars. And the New Zealand Sailing adventure, Nov. 23 – Dec. 6, 2019, offers travelers the opportunity to learn diverse skills in a remote coastal landscape rich with unique-to-New Zealand wildlife. Both courses emphasize sailing skills and seamanship while also helping strengthen leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

For those who’d rather embrace than flee winter’s snow and cold, NOLS offers a 12-day Winter Backcountry Touring Adventure in the mountains of Wyoming with three offerings beginning December 29 and February 2 and 16. Starting at the Grand Targhee Ski resort, travelers learn the basics of avalanche assessment before heading into the backcountry of the Tetons, where skiing or snowboarding on fresh powder and winter ecology are on tap. At night, retreat to yurts and self-built snow shelters.

Although NOLS – founded in 1965 by legendary mountaineer Paul Petzoldt – is perhaps best known for its famously rugged gap-year and travel-abroad expeditions for students, all of these winter trips are part of a series of expeditions called “Prime,” grounded in the same philosophy of building high-level outdoor and leadership skill sets while reveling in personal growth and fun, but designed for adults 23 and over. Tuition for the four winter courses ranges from $2,100 to $5,490 per person for 8- to 14-day adventures.

About NOLS:

NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) is the world’s leading wilderness school. A nonprofit based in Lander, Wyoming, the school provides students the opportunity to step forward – whether on an expedition, wilderness medicine or custom course. Students of all ages graduate from their courses prepared to lead their communities in a changing world. Graduates have a lifelong desire for leadership, commitment to continued skills development, and ongoing education. Since 1965, NOLS has embraced and explored the unknown through outdoor and classroom-based experiences. To learn more about NOLS, call 800.710.6657 or visit http://www.nols.edu.

Fort Washington Medical Center Officially Becomes Part of Adventist HealthCare

News Image

We look forward to strengthening the Medical Center’s presence through facility improvements, outpatient services, as well as expanded physician practices.

Adventist HealthCare, one of the longest-serving health systems in the Washington, D.C. region, announced this week that Fort Washington Medical Center in Prince George’s County is now officially a part of its organization.

Fort Washington Medical Center is a 37-bed hospital located just south of National Harbor in a growing section of the region. It cares for close to 40,000 patients a year in its emergency department and, like Adventist HealthCare, has a strong commitment to serving the needs of their community. In July, Adventist HealthCare and Nexus Health, the previous owner of Fort Washington Medical Center, announced the two organizations had reached an agreement to transfer the medical center.

Given the changes in healthcare both nationally and in Maryland, joining Adventist HealthCare will allow Fort Washington Medical Center to expand its high-quality healthcare services in Prince George’s County and overcome the challenges of operating as a standalone community hospital. Adventist HealthCare will invest $35 million over five years to help the hospital continue to meet the health needs of the community.

“Bringing Fort Washington Medical Center into the Adventist HealthCare family provides opportunities to combine our shared missions of improving the health of Maryland residents,” said Eunmee Shim, President of Fort Washington Medical Center. “We look forward to strengthening the Medical Center’s presence through facility improvements, outpatient services, as well as expanded physician practices.”

Adventist HealthCare, founded in 1907, serves patients throughout the Washington, D.C., region. The organization features a comprehensive spectrum of care including: three acute-care hospitals; two physical rehabilitation hospitals with outpatient locations; physician practices; and services for mental health, home care, imaging and urgent care. It is a regional leader in heart, stroke, physical rehabilitation, cancer, OB, and other medical specialty care.
