Sunshine Coast Health Centre Announces New Hires to Expand 1-on-1 Appointments for Drug Rehab, Alcohol Treatment, and Trauma Concerns

The Centre is announcing new hires as it continues its ambitious expansion. Alcohol treatment centers in Vancouver, BC

Alcohol treatment centers in Vancouver, BC

Katelynn and John-Michael are exciting new members of our team.

Sunshine Coast Health Centre (https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/), a best-in-class Centre in British Columbia for drug rehab and alcohol treatment, is proud to announce new staff hires. The Centre is proud to welcome Katelynn Bandmann and John-Michael Parra to its team. The new hires will immediately allow the Centre to expand 1-on-1 treatment and counseling options for clients in drug rehab, alcohol treatment, or its trauma / PTSD treatment programs. In addition, the new hires set the stage for a planned expansion into women’s health issues.

“Katelynn and John-Michael are exciting new members of our team,” explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. “By expanding our staff, we are increasing our ability to offer personalized assistance to our clients, including 1-on-1 counseling sessions. In addition, we’re setting the groundwork for a planned expansion into women’s health, so interested persons should ‘stay tuned’ to all the exciting developments here at Sunshine Coast.”

Obviously, clients already at the Centre (located in Powell River, BC, but serving drug rehab and alcohol treatment needs from all of British Columbia and Western Canada) are encouraged to reach out to the new counselors directly. Persons who might want to sign up for drug rehab, alcohol treatment, or trauma / PTSD treatment (or their loved ones) are encouraged to visit the website at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/ and then click on the “contact” button. Residents of Vancouver can also visit the Vancouver-specific page on drug rehab and alcohol treatment at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/vancouver-alcohol-treatment/. It should be noted that the Center operates “intake centers” in major cities such as Vancouver, and so clients can meet face-to-face there before or after treatment at the residential facility in Powell River.

EXPANDING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CANADIANS FOR DRUG REHAB, ALCOHOL TREATMENT, AND TRAUMA / PTSD TREATMENT

Here is background on this release. Sunshine Coast Health Centre is experiencing high demand for its services, not only due to the drug or alcohol crisis in Canada but also due to its reputation as a best-in-class “non 12 step” rehab program (See: https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/about-us/). Many people are dissatisfied with the more traditional 12 step programs and thus actively seek alternatives. They discover Sunshine Coast and are often amazed at its service offerings, and its best-in-class rehab Centre in Powell River. Clients come from all over Canada, but primarily from the big Western cities such as Vancouver, Richmond, Calgary, and Edmonton. Secondarily, the Centre is expanding its outreach. The announcement of new hires on the counseling team are just one aspect of this expansion.

Persons who may be considering Sunshine Coast should act as follows. First, they need to contact Sunshine Coast for a consultation. An over-the phone initial consultation and perhaps a face-to-face consultation will then help to determine the treatment options best meet their needs. Second, after the consultation, the potential client will make a decision to move forward with drug rehab, alcohol treatment, or other treatment options such as those for PTSD and/or trauma. Third, working with Sunshine Coast’s financial team, a financial plan will be devised so that the client can begin treatment and have a financial payment plan that works for them. Finally, the client shows up at Sunshine Coast and the busy but effective staff begin working as partners with the client on their road to recovery.

ABOUT SUNSHINE COAST HEALTH CENTRE

Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a 47-bed drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility exclusively designed for men, officially opened on the 15th of March 2004. The Centre has a philosophy of care that goes beyond just addiction to include personal transformation based on three key therapeutic principles: interpersonal relatedness, self definition (autonomy & competence), and intrinsic motivation. The Centre offers both drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment near Vancouver, BC, but serving patients across Canada, particularly British Columbia and Alberta and cities such as Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer. Sunshine Coast Health Centre uses a form of drug rehabilitation based on the research of Viktor Frankl and methodology of Paul T.P. Wong, namely ‘Meaning Centered Therapy’.

CPESN USA Directory Services, powered by AZOVA

Troy Trygstad, Executive Director, CPESN USA mentions, “CPESN USA continues to seek and connect with intelligent and innovative ehealth technologies that help payers, partners and patients alike realize the value of the local pharmacy down the street. This is why we built the Directory Services.

As part of the deal, AZOVA and CPESN USA are collaborating to help make the services of CPESN’s clinically integrated network of more than 2,400 pharmacy locations across 44 local networks accessible to patients, providers and payers. CPESN USA’s participating pharmacies provide high quality clinical service programs that will now be accessible direct to the consumer through CPESN USA’s own branded pharmacy Digital Health Marketplace. AZOVA’s robust and flexible mobile platform serves as a middleware between pharmacy systems, electronic health records, payers and patients. The marketplace gives patients, their pharmacists and physicians a digital connection point to the many clinical services that pharmacies provide. Pharmacists can now deliver their services via evisit, in the home, on site or mobile clinics, or inside their pharmacies through AZOVA’s platform. Click, CPESN USA Digital Healthcare Marketplace to visit the marketplace.

Troy Trygstad, Executive Director, CPESN USA mentions, “CPESN USA continues to seek and connect with intelligent and innovative ehealth technologies that help payers, partners and patients alike realize the value of the local pharmacy down the street. This is why we built the Directory Services Program and are happy to have our first participant with AZOVA. AZOVA’s clinical care platform enables a searchable marketplace directory of ehealth and in pharmacy clinical services through a single patient and provider-facing interface. AZOVA is aligned with our longer-term goal of transforming the mindset of payers and the public alike about the enormous potential of community-based pharmacy practice. CPESN pharmacies are more than just dispensaries, they are service providers and care managers.” Trygstad adds, “Now pharmacists can promote their clinical programs online and gain better access to their patients while collaborating with the care team to increase participation rates in care-driven programs. Central to the CPESN culture is to work hand-in-hand with our physician and other care team partners and not around them. AZOVA’s platform is collaborative and inclusive and that is a big factor in considering whom we work with to help market CPESN pharmacy services.”

Ashton Maaraba, AZOVA, SVP Sales and Operations, states, “AZOVA aims to support CPESN pharmacies in the promotion of their clinical services while enabling HIPAA secure collection, documentation and sharing of clinical data with providers, payers, and caregivers while also fully engaging the patient and providing end-to-end billing services to our clients. We wholeheartedly look forward to advancing CPESN USA’s steadfast mission and adoption of the eCare Plan. This further validates pharmacists’ critical role as forward-thinking providers in touch with the importance of utilizing effective digital health care tools and resources to help improve patient health outcomes.”

Cheryl Lee Eberting, MD, founder and CEO of AZOVA said, “Capturing clinical data from services that were delivered directly from AZOVA’s Digital Health Platform and now making it available in real time to the payer is a new service that AZOVA provides. This enables CPESN pharmacies to demonstrate the ROI for their clinical services and to contract directly with payers to deliver collaborative value-based care programs like pharmacogenomics consultations, on-demand e-medication reconciliation, opioid, diabetes and hypertension medication management. It also helps to reduce drug abandonment rates and control chronic disease leading to a lift in patient healthcare outcomes. AZOVA is thrilled to partner with CPESN USA to make these clinical programs openly available to patients, providers and payers.”

DuPont Animal Nutrition Launches Axtra® PHY, the Latest Generation of Phytase Enzyme in Japan

News Image

We are proud to be the first company to launch a new generation phytase enzyme in the Japanese market.

DuPont Animal Nutrition, a business unit of DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences (DuPont), today announced the launch of Axtra® PHY in Japan. DuPont™ Axtra® PHY is the fast-acting phytase enzyme designed to improve animal performance and reduce phosphorus waste.

Axtra® PHY is the fastest route to top animal performance in poultry and swine, while improving profitability for producers and reducing phosphorus waste. The phytase enzyme works quickly in the digestive tract to break down phytate, the main storage form of phosphorus contained in plants and a key anti-nutrient. By lowering the impact of phytate, Axtra® PHY increases the availability of phosphorus, energy and amino acids naturally present in the feed, meaning the producer needs to add fewer costly ingredients. Reducing phosphorus waste also reduces the amount of phosphorus runoff that may pollute nearby surface and groundwater systems. This helps producers operate more sustainably by reducing their overall environmental footprint.

“DuPont offers innovative enzymes that are not only the fastest-acting in market, but also enhance the interaction of nutrition, the microbiome and gut and immune function, improving the nutribiotic state of the gut,” said Aart Mateboer, Business Unit Director, DuPont Animal Nutrition. “We are proud to be the first company to launch a new generation phytase enzyme in the Japanese market.”

Reduction of the anti-nutrient phytate factors leads to improved gut health for swine and poultry. Axtra® PHY also leads to improved weight gain and feed efficiency, helping producers save on feed costs and improving their profitability. DuPont provides optimized dosing that is specific to species, diet and life stage, leading to maximized return for customers.

The launch of DuPont™ Axtra® PHY in Japan follows the 2017 launch of phytase enzyme Phyzyme® XP.

DuPont is investing in science and innovation to help producers improve performance, increase livability and support welfare in the face of increasing pressure to reduce or remove antibiotics from production systems. To learn more, visit http://animalnutrition.dupont.com/AxtraPHY.

$10 Billion IoT Market for Wireless Sensor Network Chips and Modules by 2024

Relentless advances in wireless sensor networks (WSN) have resulted in billions of connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices, according to a recently published report by IoT research firm ON World.

“More than 1 billion annual WSN chipsets were sold worldwide last year due to breakthroughs in wireless mesh networking, Low Power Wide Area Networks, multi-protocol devices, IP-addressable end nodes and cloud IoT platforms,” said Mareca Hatler, ON World’s director of research. “Consumer WSN markets are entering early majority mass market status and enterprise solutions continue robust growth.”

In this report, ON World covers two primary WSN market landscapes:

  • Short Range Wireless Sensor Networks
  • Low Power Wide Area Networks

Short-range WSN technologies such as 802.15.4, Bluetooth Low Energy and WiFi will continue to have the biggest impact on consumer markets including the smart home, media center, health, fitness and wearables. Compared with consumer IoT, enterprise applications are more diverse with demand for both short range and long range WSNs.

By 2024, global revenues for drop-in WSN modules and chipsets will reach $9.8 billion up from $4.1 billion in 2018. Enterprise applications will make up 30% of the chipset unit shipments and 49% of the revenues by this time due to higher chipset and module average sale prices (ASPs) compared to consumer applications.

Short Range Wireless Sensor Networks

Advances in low power wireless radios and wireless mesh network stacks have driven most IoT development over the past decade. Zigbee has the largest share of the wireless mesh market but IP-based protocols Thread and Wi-SUN are making up a larger portion of new product designs.

The Thread Group recently released an updated Thread specification (version 1.2) that provides several enhancements such as lower power consumption and extensions for Bluetooth and scalable commissioning for commercial buildings. Wi-SUN is used in some of the largest IP-based wireless mesh networks and there will be nearly 100 million Wi-SUN devices installed worldwide in the next few years.

Combination chipsets, or “combo chips” that combine technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee/Thread has created new developer opportunities and is part of a continuing trend toward network agnostic solutions. Combo chips are now the default option from many of the leading WSN suppliers including Nordic Semiconductor, NXP, Qorvo, Qualcomm, Redpine Signals, Silicon Labs, Telink and TI.

Low Power Wide Area Networks

LPWAN technologies such as Sigfox, LoRa®, LTE-M and NB-IoT create multi-mile star networks of sensor nodes with multi-year battery lifetimes that are managed through an in-premises or cloud-based network server. Unlicensed LPWAN technologies continue to dominate LPWAN market with adoption for private networks increasing the fastest.

LPWANs are providing a range of IoT applications that are increasingly viewed as complementary to wireless mesh sensor networks such as Wi-SUN. Network backups, remote asset monitoring and asset tracking are a few examples. LPWANs provide geolocation capabilities without GPS for lower hardware and battery costs that leverage cloud infrastructure platforms to manage tracking, locating and monitoring of shipping containers, equipment, livestock, bicycles and other mobile assets. LPWAN will drive much of the growth for 270 million connected industrial IoT asset trackers within the next seven years.

Newly Expanded Delta Dental of Arizona Oral Health Center at St. Vincent de Paul Serves More in Need

News Image

“There are very few organizations in the Phoenix area that do as much good work as St. Vincent de Paul does,” says Delta Dental of Arizona President and CEO Allan Allford. “They are not doing it right for their own notoriety, they are doing it right for the people who need it most.”

Improving oral health for Arizona’s most vulnerable population, St. Vincent de Paul recently completed a full renovation of its charity dental clinic to increase access to dental care for underserved children and adults in the Phoenix community. The Delta Dental of Arizona Oral Health Center at the Virginia G. Piper Medical & Dental Clinic transformed from an eight-chair clinic to 16 chairs, which allows the staff to increase patient visits from 6,000 to more than 10,000 annually.

As one of the largest charity dental clinics of its kind in the country, the renovation and additional patient care spaces sets up SVdP dental volunteers and staff to provide comprehensive oral health care to uninsured and low-income patients who would otherwise forgo even the most discounted dental care because of financial strain.

“Within a month, I will see more severely medically compromised patients than you would see in private practice in five years,” says Dr. Ken Snyder of St. Vincent de Paul. “Without Delta Dental of Arizona and other generous donors in our community, this clinic and the types of procedures we offer patients or the training we do for dental students, may not have been possible.”

In late 2017, Delta Dental of Arizona announced a $1 million gift to SVdP to sustain the additional operational costs of the expanded dental clinic to ensure both preventive and emergency oral health care services for underserved children and adults are available for the next 10 years. Beyond the comprehensive and emergency care operations provided daily, specialty services such as endodontistry, periodontistry, orthodontistry and oral surgery are also available at the clinic.

“There are very few organizations in the Phoenix area that do as much good work as St. Vincent de Paul does,” says Delta Dental of Arizona President and CEO Allan Allford. “They are not doing it right for their own notoriety, they are doing it right for the people who need it most. If you can walk into that clinic and not walk out with a changed heart, then you don’t have a heart. So when we had the opportunity to live our mission through SVdP, it was a perfect fit.”

DDAZ was also proud to outfit the dental volunteers and staff with brand new scrubs to go with the brand new facility. The clinic expects to be fully operational with all chairs operating by the end of August and will begin accepting patients in the new space at that time.

MaoShi Dance Bot, the Ambitious Project That is Aiming to Raise 10 Million Dollars on Indiegogo

https://www.prweb.com/

Maoshi Dance Bot

The limits that we see only exist in our minds.

MaoShi Dance Bot is the project of a team of youngsters who decided to share their idea on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, in order to produce a movie under the same name.

Based on real-life events, the film tells the story of a 10-year-old child that lives in New York and dreams of becoming a mechatronic engineer and a dancer, whose life took a 180 degree turn after suffering a severe accident. To cope with sadness, he ensembles a robot that dances and is capable to show and understand feelings, just like humans. From that point forward, the adventure begins.

MaoShi, the movie creator and CEO of Galiano Company Studios, intends to give hope to children and people with disabilities, encouraging them to find a reason to keep going despite the circumstances.

To produce the movie, the team has set a 10 million dollar goal. The idea is to bring the movie to the big screen, worldwide.

We asked creator MaoShi where he got the inspiration for the film, and he said: “The kid is actually me. I had an accident that completely changed my life and taught me to never give up. I re-learned how to walk and understood that if I survived, I just had to share my story.”

Contributions to the funding can be made starting on August 9, 2019 at Indiegogo.

To support the project, you just need to search “MaoShi Dance Bot” on the website and make your contribution. Likewise, all the information related to the process and updates on the film will be available on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Two of Florida’s leading private investigation firms are merging into one super organization that provides high level private investigation services in Orlando and Tampa. Southern Recon Agency is a top rated Orlando private investigation firm provides national coverage using technology, internet research, and advanced investigative strategies to provide exceptional customer service. Top Gun Investigations of Tampa is a prestigious Investigative Attorney, founded by Florida’s first dually licensed Attorney and Private Investigator. American P.I. Group provides multiple services, including corporate, legal, and domestic private investigation services. The firm covers cyber-crime, covert surveillance, cheating spouses, child custody and corporate investigations.

“We are very excited to merge these two top-rated firms,” said Mark Aubin, COO of American P.I. Group. “Combining the experience and skills of these two firms will make an unparalleled private investigation firm. Between our cyber-crime experience and our skill with covert private investigations, we’re able to provide every client, private and corporate, with services that are not available with any other firm in Florida.”

American P.I. Group provides services from two offices, one in Orlando, the other in Tampa. The offices will coordinate services providing clients with access to both office’s resources and to investigators who are familiar with all types of investigations.
