Bel Mondo Beauty Announces Sheet Mask For Oncology Spa Services

Finding the right sheet mask for my very special clients going through cancer treatment was extremely important to me.

Bel Mondo Beauty announced today the availability of a facial sheet mask tailored for skin care professionals who provide oncology spa services.

Developed in collaboration with Oncology Spa Solutions ® – a leader in oncology-care training for estheticians nationwide – Bel Mondo Beauty’s Moisture Renewal Mask is designed to help alleviate the extreme dryness and sensitivity associated with skin impacted by cancer-care treatments. The premium mask features Bel Mondo’s signature bio cellulose fabric, prized in medical aesthetics for its exceptional occlusive and hydrophilic properties.

Notably, Bel Mondo Beauty’s Moisture Renewal Mask is free from additives that potentially irritate compromised skin, including artificial fragrances, synthetic dyes, ethyl alcohols, paraben preservatives, silicon and petroleum-based surfactants, and mineral oils. The formula features six key active ingredients — Pentavitin, PRODEW 600, Green Caviar Sea Grape, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, and ECOCERT Chamomile – selected for their ability to replenish and attract moisture while calming skin.

Product Trails Conducted With 30 Oncology-Trained Estheticians

Prototypes of Bel Mondo’s Moisture Renewal Mask were evaluated by 30 oncology-trained estheticians, who tried the product directly and used it on clients who were undergoing or had recently completed cancer treatments. Eighty percent of those who evaluated the mask reported that it increased moisture levels and alleviated sensitivity significantly; zero instances of skin irritation were experienced.

Access to the estheticians who participated in the product evaluation was provided by Becky Kuehn, Founder and Director of Education of Oncology Spa Solutions. A Licensed Master Esthetician and Holistic Cancer Educator, Kuehn has provided esthetic services directly for cancer patients since 2009, and has trained 4,000 students in oncology esthetics since 2013 through her Life Changing Esthetics® coursework.

“Finding the right sheet mask for my very special clients going through cancer treatment was extremely important to me,” Kuehn stated. “As I was searching, Bel Mondo reached out and offered to formulate a bio cellulose mask with safe ingredients that could deliver the type of benefits I was looking for. This mask is a fabulous addition to any facial protocol when trying to calm, soothe, and hydrate skin.”

Availability Through Skin Care Professionals

Bel Mondo Beauty’s Moisture Renewal Mask will be sold only to skin care professionals. Estheticians can purchase products through Bel Mondo Beauty’s website after creating an account, and from Med Spa Distributors (Kingsland, Georgia).

Bel Mondo will donate Moisture Renewal Masks to Oncology Spa Solutions to support its educational classes, and become one of the organization’s Mission Partners. It will also contribute a portion of revenue from its new product to SPOT-ON (Spa Professionals Oncology Trained, Oncology Navigators) – the first national association for oncology-trained spa professionals.

“Sheet masks have enjoyed explosive growth in the last five years, with most brands focusing on the traditional beauty consumer,” stated Lou Martelli, Bel Mondo Beauty President. “Our focus has been on the professional channel, and it ultimately led to a wonderful collaborative opportunity with Becky Kuehn and Oncology Spa Solutions. It feels good to be able to support those on the cancer journey in this small way.”

The R620 GNSS receiver is a complete refresh of the previous version (R330) and includes an all-new low-profile ruggedized enclosure. With the flexibility and scalability offered within the R620 system, customers can start with sub-meter positioning accuracy and upgrade the receiver (through activations and subscriptions) to add functionality and improve performance capability to centimeter-level accuracy.

Powered by the all-new Vega™ series, the R620 GNSS receiver processes and supports over 1,100 channels and offers flexible and scalable simultaneous tracking of every modern and planned GNSS constellation and signal including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou (including Phase 3), Galileo, QZSS, IRNSS, SBAS, and Atlas® L-band. The Vega series is powered by Hemisphere’s recently announced next-generation Lyra™ II digital ASIC, Aquila™ wideband RF ASIC, and Cygnus™ interference mitigation technology.

The R620 combines Hemisphere’s Athena™ GNSS engine and Atlas L-band correction technologies with status LEDs and a powerful WebUI. These features make the R620 easy to monitor, configure, and offer an unparalleled level of customer-friendly performance.

The R620 comes equipped with UHF (400 MHz and 900 MHz) radio, cellular modem, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, making wireless communications and connectivity easy to use. Ethernet (including Power over Ethernet), CAN, Serial, and USB also elevate the system’s capabilities.

First Holocaust Survivor Climbs Kilimanjaro at Age 83

When things became arduous, Shaffir heard his father’s words, ‘Never give up.’

On August 24, 2019, Nat Shaffir was on top of the world.

He had reached to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa. His body was physically exhausted, but his spirit was overjoyed.

“I was in seventh heaven,” Shaffir recalled.

This was not the first struggle that he has had to overcome.

Shaffir is a Holocaust Survivor – the first to successfully climb Kilimanjaro.

HIS EARLY YEARS

In 1942, when Shaffir was just five years old, a priest showed up at his family’s dairy farm in Romania. The priest knew the family well. He visited weekly for donations. But this time, he was accompanied by a police officer and two soldiers.

“These are Jews,” the priest said to the officer.

The military confiscated the farm and cattle. The family was forced to relocate to the Jewish ghetto in Iasi. There, Shaffir lived in poverty in a crowded room with his two sisters and parents. His parents were given manual labor jobs while he and his sisters were forbidden to attend school.

His father was later taken away to a distant labor camp, leaving young Shaffir to care for the rest of the family. Before he left, his father told him that things would get harder.

“Never give up,” his father said.

Those three words have kept Shaffir going for his entire life.

CLIMBING KILIMANJARO

Mount Kilimanjaro stands 19,340 feet above sea level. Climbing the peak does not require any technical skills or special equipment. But it is a formidable test due to its extreme altitude. Reaching the top takes physical fitness and determination.

Shaffir kept a slow but steady pace on the mountain. He encountered adversity on some parts of the terrain. He also struggled to eat on nearly the entire hike due to a loss of appetite, one of the common symptoms of altitude sickness.

“Climbing Kilimanjaro at my age was tough,” Shaffir admitted.

But when things became arduous, he heard his father’s words, “Never give up.”

He knew that he would make it to the summit.

“Nat had great endurance and determination,” said lead guide Raymond Mandari of Ultimate Kilimanjaro. “Climbing Kilimanjaro is a big accomplishment for anyone, but for an 83-year old, it is remarkable.”

INSPIRING OTHERS

Shaffir climbed Kilimanjaro to inspire others to challenge themselves to do the same, to conquer their own metaphorical mountains.

He has a message for those that find themselves in troubling times. “To people who are experiencing hardship, difficulties, atrocities, and hate – never give up.”

Russian soldiers liberated Iasi in 1945. By then, 32 members of Shaffir’s family had died in Nazi concentration camps.

Shaffir moved to the United States in 1961. He and his wife have five children and 12 grandchildren – all of them named after family members lost during the Holocaust.

Henry Ford e-Home Care Reduces Hospital Readmissions Utilizing Telehealth from HRS

Utilizing technology to care for our patients is the future of healthcare. Technology provides access to patients in more ways that are convenient for them.

Henry Ford e-Home Care has announced a significant reduction in hospital readmissions for patients receiving telehealth care via Henry Ford’s e-Home Care program. Achieving monthly readmission rates as low as 7%, Henry Ford e-Home Care has reduced their average hospital readmission rate for the first six months of 2019 by 45% compared with the prior six months of 2018. Utilizing software from Health Recovery Solutions (HRS), Henry Ford e-Home Care provides remote patient monitoring and telehealth services to more than 130 patients each month.

Henry Ford e-Home Care partnered with HRS in 2017 to capitalize on the growing role of technology in healthcare and its ability to help improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs to health systems, payors, and patients. Through its e-Home Care program, Henry Ford is able to treat a diverse set of patient populations, including those with chronic CHF, COPD, hypertension, and cancer, as well as patients recovering from cardiothoracic or transplant surgery.

“Utilizing technology to care for our patients is the future of healthcare. Technology provides access to patients in more ways that are convenient for them, efficient for care providers, and offers an extra layer of safety for our patients in their homes,” said Mary Hagen, Manager of Henry Ford e-Home Care. “We see a future in which patients are comfortable with and proficient at utilizing mobile devices to communicate with clinicians, manage their healthcare, and be more knowledgeable about their own health, as well as the health of their loved ones.”

Patients are enrolled in e-Home Care following an initial home health visit. Once enrolled, patients receive a 4G tablet pre-loaded with the HRS software, along with Bluetooth biometric monitoring devices. Via the tablet, patients receive medication reminders, access educational videos and daily disease-specific symptom questions, and record daily vitals utilizing the biometric devices. In addition, patients and clinicians can utilize phone calls and a video conferencing platform on the tablet. All patient data is uploaded in real-time to the clinician’s dashboard and the Health System EMR, allowing a patient’s entire care team to observe the patient’s health status.

Using the clinician dashboard, phone conversations, and virtual visits, Henry Ford’s telehealth nurses address variances in patients’ vitals. Patient data from the telehealth and remote monitoring system enable the telehealth team to observe trends in patient status, adherence, and self-care, to quickly intervene when a patient’s status puts them at risk for readmission.

“Henry Ford’s e-Home Care program demonstrates the importance of communication across the care continuum. Their EMR integration and centralized care model are key drivers of their program’s success and prove their dedication to patient care and innovation. We are excited to continue working with Henry Ford to expand their telehealth program and access to care,” added William Ashton, Client Success Manager at HRS.

In the coming months, Henry Ford e-Home Care will look to expand their program by partnering with insurance agencies to further reduce the cost of care and incorporate more patients into their comprehensive care continuum.

About Henry Ford e-Home Care

Six Top Tips For Getting Cheaper Auto Insurance Premiums

News Image

“Many drivers want to pay less on car insurance. For that, they can follow several smart money-saving tips”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Cheapquotesautoinsurance.com has launched a new blog post that presents several ways that will help drivers save money on their car insurance rates.

For more info and free quotes, visit https://cheapquotesautoinsurance.com/6-top-ways-that-will-help-you-pay-less-on-your-car-insurance/

Although expensive for some drivers, car insurance is a necessity for many. The penalties for driving without insurance can be severe and will reflect in the future policy premiums for many years after an uninsured driver gets caught.

In order to pay less on their car insurance, drivers can follow these tips:

  • Bundle multiple policies. Drivers can try to insure all vehicles from the household with the same insurance company in order to get a large discount. Moreover, drivers can try to insure the home with the same insurance company. Multi-policies and multi-car discounts can help policyholders save lots of money.
  • Check different discounts. Policyholders can check with their insurance agent if they are eligible for any discounts. Insurance companies are notorious for offering a great variety of discounts. The most popular discounts are the homeowner discount, good student discount, getting married discount, and other various discounts that can appear in certain situations.
  • Keep a clean driving record. Insurance companies will reward drivers that keep a clean driving record with discounts that ranges from 10% to 20%. In order to qualify for this discount, drivers need to maintain their driving record clean for a number of years, usually three to five years, depending on each insurance company.
  • Consider usage-based insurance programs. Some insurers offer usage-based programs. Drivers that enroll in a usage-based program, will have to allow the insurer to install a small telematic device in their vehicles. This device will monitor the policyholder’s driving habits. If the monitoring results are good, policyholders are eligible for better policies.
  • Consider raising deductibles. Policyholders that have full coverage can lower their insurance premium by agreeing to pay a larger deductible.
  • Check multiple online quotes. This is the best way for drivers to save money. Insurance companies don’t offer the same insurance rates, and the best way to find the best insurance is by comparing multiple online quotes.
