3dcart and Sandbox Commerce Announce Custom Shopping App Partnership

3dcart Logo

“With more and more customers conducting their shopping on their smartphones, having a high-performing mobile store is a priority for all online businesses. Our partnership with Sandbox Commerce makes that more feasible for our clients.” —Gonzalo Gil, 3dcart CEO

3dcart, a leading eCommerce platform, announced today that their customers can now convert their stores into shopping applications through the platform’s partnership with Sandbox Commerce, an Austin, Texas-based software company. New and current clients will be able to integrate their online stores with Sandbox Commerce’s app builder, through which they can create apps that connect with their stores.

This connection extends to total synchronicity with the inventories of 3dcart stores. A store’s shopping app will accurately reflect product selection and availability. Store data is imported to allow easy drag-and-drop placement of marquees, collections, and featured items. This connection is possible because store owners must log into their 3dcart account with Sandbox Commerce before they can create an app.

“We couldn’t be more grateful to work with Sandbox Commerce,” said Gonzalo Gil, CEO of 3dcart. “With more and more customers conducting their shopping on their smartphones, having a high-performing mobile store is a priority for all online businesses. Our partnership with this company makes that more feasible for our clients.”

Another part of Sandbox Commerce’s services is their “Social” tier, which allows store owners to showcase images of their products through a curated Instagram feed. 3dcart clients can customize windows that can fit these Instagram posts into any app created through Sandbox Commerce, as well as their website and newsletter.

“This is a great opportunity to partner with a leader in the eCommerce space, and provide their customers a powerful platform to create an omni-channel shopping experience,” said Sterling Smith, Sandbox Commerce founder and CEO.

San Luis Obispo Dentist, Douglas Ng, D.D.S., Releases Dental Care Tips For The Holidays

dentist San Luis Obispo

We all give in to temptation during the holidays, but following solid dental habits help keep our teeth healthy.

“Everyone enters the Holiday season with promises to not overdo it,” says San Luis Obispo dentist, Dr. Douglas Ng. “Most of us are going to give in to temptation, and the best insurance for keeping our teeth healthy is a good dental hygiene program and counterbalance sugary foods with healthy food.”

Dr. Ng has some tips to help people have a great Holiday season and stay on top of their dental health. Along with the usual, and very important, advice to try to minimize alcohol, sweets, and other rich foods, the following tips help keep everyone on the dental health path.

The report includes tips and information about the following topics Read the full report on Dr. Ng’s website.

  • Pack a kit to help stick to the daily dental care routine: The kit includes floss, mouthwash, disposable toothbrushes, and maybe even some breath-freshening strips. Disposable toothbrushes, or special tooth wipes, can be thrown away instead of storing a wet toothbrush that might become a bacteria trap. Floss picks are less effective for reaching below the gum line to remove plaque than regular floss, but they are better than nothing during a busy day.
  • Drink plenty of water: Staying hydrated is good for overall health, and helps avoid dry mouth that can lead to gum disease and tooth decay. The busier the season, the more important it is to stay hydrated. The American Dental Association (ADA) reports that even though sparkling water is slightly more acidic to teeth, plain water and sparkling water are “all just plain water to your teeth.”
  • Choose plaque-fighting food: Good news! Holiday turkey is good for your teeth! Healthy food is good for overall health and dental health. There are some foods that are especially helpful for creating saliva and for helping remove plaque. These include: Apples, celery and carrots. The protein, casein, in cheese prevents acid from attacking tooth enamel. Nibble on cheese between sips to help protect your teeth until you can brush and floss.
  • Sip and nibble: Definitely give yourself permission to enjoy the feasting and drinking during the Holidays. There are not too many people who have the will power to not indulge just a little. But, instead of drinking the wine or the cocktail, or crunching that piece of hard candy, consider sipping and nibbling.
  • Don’t open anything with your teeth: When scissors are not available don’t try tearing the gift ribbon with your teeth! “Get up and get the scissors,” says the San Luis Obispo dentist. Don’t pull the cork out of the wine bottle with your teeth. Don’t crack even soft-shelled nuts with your teeth or crunch down on hard candy.
  • Schedule a post-Holiday dental appointment now: Schedule a post-holiday examination and teeth cleaning early instead of waiting until after the Holidays. For one thing, scheduling early is one less thing on the list of things to do. And, the appointment won’t keep getting put off during that after-holiday recovery slump.

Simple Interact and Health1 Technologies Automate Data Push from Online Intake Forms to Centricity EMR and Centricity Practice Solution

News Image

We are able to complete what used to be a 20-minute task in less than 5 minutes now.

Simple Interact and Health1 Technologies announce the availability of a solution which automatically pushes patient intake forms from Simple Interact into Centricity™ EMR, a secure platform for capturing and storing patient and medical institution records and sharing them with other stakeholders. Data, including discrete medical history, demographics, contact information, and PDFs, is uploaded faster and more reliably.

With this new capability, medical facilities using Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity EMR report at least 75% reduction in data entry time. Instead of manually entering data, staff review patient-entered data before pushing it to the appropriate Centricity EMR forms in the patient chart. In addition, patient demographic and contact data, as well as PDF copies of the completed forms, are uploaded into Centricity Practice Solution.

“We have been using this new data push capability for several months now and are thrilled with the results!” said Nita Machado, Practice Manager at North Dallas ENT. “Our Medical Assistants are able to complete what used to be a 20-minute task in less than 5 minutes now. Within the Centricity EMR system, we can review the data entered by a patient in one jumbo form and approve each section to be copied over into our individual Centricity EMR forms. We finally have a streamlined, paperless patient intake process that has allowed us to increase provider utilization while reducing costs related to staff time, ink and paper.”

Simple Interact reports that its Integrated HIPAA Compliant Forms service results in:

  • Greater than 50% of new patients fill out forms ahead of time.
  • Greater than 75% reduction in data entry time per new patient visit.
  • Increased provider utilization.

“We are very excited to have partnered with Simple Interact on creating this solution,” said Rahul Patel, Partner at Health1 Technologies. “Improving patient and staff experiences is a central goal of our work and we think that automation of data upload to Centricity EMR will accomplish just that. This solution will provide our clients with a powerful tool which will help medical practices grow, while still providing their patient with the highest quality care.”

“Time is in short supply for healthcare staff and automating repetitive tasks is a huge value add,” said Ravi Kalidindi, CEO, Simple Interact. “Achieving data push capability for Centricity EMR requires deep system level expertise. We found a great partner in Health1 Technologies and are very proud of the robust data push framework we have built together. Centricity EMR users will be impressed with the amount of data we can push and the resulting workflow improvements.”

About Health1 Technologies

Health 1 Technologies was founded over a decade ago in 2006 by Jennifer Monahan and Rahul Patel to fill a specific need in the small physician practice space. Our initial goal was to be the practice’s “one stop shop” for all issues or services. We felt practices were often caught in the middle of vendor “finger-pointing” and didn’t know to whom to turn. Rahul Patel’s technical & revenue cycle background and Jennifer Monahan’s clinical background blended perfectly to offer that solution. Both Partners are involved in the daily operations of the organization along with an extremely experienced and knowledgeable team.

Today, we host our client systems in our data center, provide medical billing services, and continue to expand on our range of services that are directly linked to the optimization of the Electronic Health Record and Practice Management into the physician practice, while providing direct leadership in the various quality program regulations. We look forward to the next decade of service to our clients and the healthcare industry as a whole.

Xulon Press Author’s New Book Provides An Examination of Physiological Stress

News Image

After examining stress as described in this book, readers will have a broader perspective and will better understand what stress is.

Dr. David Fernandez’s book Stress as a Condition: Defining Stress in General, and Physiological Stress in Particular ($11.99, paperback, 9781545670583; $23.99, hardcover, 9781545670590, $5.99, e-book, 9781545670606), is available for purchase.

In Stress as a Condition: Defining Stress in General, and Physiological Stress in Particular, Dr. Fernandez formulates the following definition of stress in its three forms: mechanical, physiological, and psychological. Stress is a condition depending on two conflicting components. The difference between the threes forms of stress depends on the nature of the components involved. In mechanical stress the components are forces opposing each other. In biological stress the conflict is between response and inhibition of responses. What makes the difference among the three forms of stress is the nature of the two components involved in the condition of stress.

After examining stress as described in this book, readers will have a broader perspective and will better understand what stress is. Readers will then be able to come to additional conclusions on their own about different aspects of human knowledge where stress is an essential part, such as in psychology, sociology, anthropology, evolution, and religion, to name a few.

Dr. Fernandez was born in Havana Cuba on April 14, 1930. After practicing medicine in Cuba for 9 years, he emigrated to the U.S, got his medical license, and served in the Air Force. Upon realizing that many researchers had misunderstood the concept of stress proposed by Hans H. Selye, Fernandez contacted Selye and collaborated with him for several years, until Selye’s death to clarify that stress is not a response but a condition. Dr. Fernandez enjoys researching stress as it relates to different disciplines. He also likes gardening and using his computer.

The Most Influential Factors That Determine Car Insurance Rates

News Image

“Insurance companies will draw and analyze the risk profile of any potential customer before issuing any policy. That takes some time since many factors are accounted for. Check which factors influence premiums the most” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Carinsuranceplan.org has released a new blog post where it presents the top influential factors for car insurance and ways to lower the premiums.

For more info and free car insurance quotes online, visit https://compare-autoinsurance.org/factors-that-influence-the-insurance-costs/

Car insurance premiums are determined after analyzing multiple factors. Each company develops a specific algorithm for calculating premiums. Car insurance quotes online provided by http://compare-autoinsurance.org will help drivers discover the average insurance costs.

The factors used to determine premiums are classified in the following categories:

  • Demographic factors. Insurance companies use statistics for various social groups and geographical locations. This is why a potential customer is asked about age, gender, marital status, job, and address. The area where a client lives is very important for companies. They will check criminality rates, especially for vandalism and car theft. Population density and the number of cars in the area will also influence the final price.
  • Driving history. Companies will question the potential client about the driving experience, driving education and driving records. A person with a clean driving record will be considered safe and will pay less. Graduating defensive driving programs will also help to get a series of discounts. On the opposite, persons convicted for accidents or traffic violations will be considered high-risk
  • Car model and its features. Insurance companies check safety ratings and recent recalls for any particular model. Adding extra safety and tracking devices will make the car safer and the premiums lower. Insurers prefer medium-sized family cars. Having a top A+ safety pick will help drivers get car insurance faster, easier and cheaper.

For the Love of Music! New Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Partner is Living his Dream

https://www.prweb.com/

Chris Werner, HMAC in Harrisburg, PA

My goal is to help make Harrisburg a thriving music scene and put us back on the map. This is my destiny, and I won’t stop until we achieve what we’re setting out to accomplish.

Even when Chris Werner was grading papers and teaching youngsters as a public school teacher in York, PA, his dream was “always to operate a music venue.” Now, the 42-year-old entrepreneur’s wish is a reality. The life-long York County resident is the newest investor in the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC), along with his two partners, Chuck London, a former network TV producer and executive; and Javier Diaz, an investment banker and businessman who recently purchased the live music venue and arts center located at 1110 N. 3rd Street in Harrisburg.

“Music was always an interest of mine because of my father Craig,” said Werner. “He taught me all about rock ‘n roll since I was a kid and has been my biggest supporter. I intended to be a DJ, but I did the ‘right thing’, went to college, got a master’s degree in education from York College, taught elementary school for 12 years, but all the while I was completely obsessed with live music.” After teaching class, Werner says he would go to concerts in New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC to see live performances. He admits that he graded papers at concerts, and might have been a little bleary-eyed during a few early morning lessons, but was having a blast burning the candle at both ends like many 20-somethings do. “I always had an obsession with meeting the artists. I would do anything possible to meet the bands when attending shows, and then I started collecting their autographs.” That obsession eventually turned into a business when Werner started selling autographed memorabilia for profit. “I quickly realized there was a market for that, and I had amassed an amazing collection of autographs from artists that I had accumulated throughout my life.” In 2011, Chris was able to quit his day job (teaching) to focus solely on his passion, and decided to launch Lifetime of Autographs, which is considered one of the top music memorabilia businesses in the U.S. (or world?).

Werner recalls the first time he stepped into HMAC. It was to see Bob Mould, known for his alternative rock bands Sugar and Husker Du. “I immediately fell in love with the venue, the vibe the different types of people. Back then, it was just Stage on Herr — a small room with church pew seating. I saw massive potential in the space, and when I was presented with the opportunity to become an investor last spring, I decided to leverage everything to finally live my dream of owning a live music venue.”

“HMAC is not a typical music venue,” added Werner. “We can accommodate 1,000 revelers in the Capitol Ballroom. We’re constructing amazing green rooms and expanding with an additional state-of-the-art stage, which I’m certain will be one of the best nightlife attractions in Harrisburg when it’s completed in early 2020. We curate so many different genres of music at HMAC, which is what makes the venue so special.” In addition to music, Werner envisions hosting weddings, community outreach events, charity balls, performance art and even professional wrestling events. “My hope is that HMAC will be the epicenter of live arts in Harrisburg — the place where everyone wants to go and feels comfortable. My goal is to help make Harrisburg a thriving music scene and put us back on the map. This is my destiny, and I won’t stop until we achieve what we’re setting out to accomplish. I didn’t choose this life, it chose me.”

New PgCert Helps Vets Get a Clearer Picture in Just 12 Months

Vet reading radiograph with help

A Primarily Practical Course

Vets learn best through hands-on practical sessions combined with reflective learning.

An innovative new subject has been added to the range of primarily practical PgCerts for veterinary surgeons from CPD Solutions. Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging starts in March 2020 and enables veterinary surgeons to gain their Diagnostic Imaging PgCert in a 12 month period. PgCerts are awarded by the University of Chester, leaders in the provision of work-based learning. The new PgCert in Diagnostic Imaging joins existing PgCerts from CPD Solutions in Small Animal Surgery, Emergency Practice and Small Animal Dentistry.

The new programme features ten full days of small group hands-on practical imaging sessions based at the recently upgraded CPD Solutions Training Centre in Studley near Birmingham. Vets will develop their existing imaging skills and learn additional techniques that they can use directly in small animal practice. Decision making is a major focus, as it is critical in the management of small animal patients on a daily basis. This new PgCert from CPD Solutions and the University of Chester complies fully with the RCVS focus on outcomes-based CPD and reflective learning.

The CPD Solutions series of PgCerts has unique benefits and key differences from the existing PgCert options available for vets. CPD Solutions programmes have a very strong emphasis on practical training. To make the most of the way that vets learn best, all attendance sessions are practical with no lecture days. Attendance days are grouped into just three sessions to minimise travel and disruption to work and home life. The 12 month duration of the CPD Solutions programme allows vets to gain their PgCert qualification in Diagnostic Imaging in a much shorter time frame than that allowed by PgCerts from other providers.

Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging is an exciting addition to the current range of PgCerts from CPD Solutions. Expert diagnostic imaging tutors will help vets to refine their techniques and interpretation in small group sessions, and vets can then use their new skills directly in their practices.

Susie Coughlan, veterinary surgeon and MD at CPD Solutions has 21 years’ experience in providing practical training for vets. ‘Our experience is that vets get the most out of hands-on practical training in a structured and supportive environment, combined with reflective application of their new skills in practice. The new PgCert in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging follows the same format – all attendance sessions are practical, and the course provides support for developing reflective work based learning that vets can use with all of their patients.’

Vets wanting to find out more about the new PgCert can contact CPD Solutions on 0151 328 0444 or visit http://www.pgcert.com
