Linda Hughes’s newly released “The King Has Spoken Through the Power of Poetry” is a powerful anthology of poems that speak about God’s divine beauty

News Image

“The King Has Spoken Through the Power of Poetry”: an inspirational compendium of poems that voice out the endless grace and agape love of God. “The King Has Spoken Through the Power of Poetry” is the creation of published author Linda Hughes, a writer from Lorain, Ohio. She believes that her purpose is to spread the Good News of God and inspire people.

Hughes shares, “Second Chance Romance — when God gives you another chance to be in his loving arms (like a baby wrapped in a blanket). Do everything you can do, to let go, and let God enter into your life (heart). Sometimes we don’t realize what a privilege it is to have a second chance romance with our Savior Jesus Christ. How awesome it is to tell you, personally, some of the experiences I have had to see, feel and breath the beauty of our almighty King’s love which has and still is leaving me yearning to want more of His agape love.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Linda Hughes’s new book is a beautiful and personal manuscript filled with pieces that tell about one’s experiences and realizations of love and faith that hopes to move the readers in their faith in the Lord.

ACCESS Manufacturing Systems, Inc. Hosts First-Ever 3D Print Lab Workshop for Orange County Cypress Creek High School

ACCESS Additive Manufacturing Rep., Ken Stevens, demonstrating how to produce Stainless Steel parts on the Markforged MetalX 3D Printer.

It’s very important to educate these students on the latest, most innovative manufacturing technologies. We’re really proud to be a part of this campaign.

ACCESS Manufacturing Systems partnered with the Manufacturer’s Association of Central Florida (MACF) for the ‘MACFinMOTION’ campaign, which includes various student tours of manufacturing facilities for ‘MFGDay2019’.

Twenty-one Cypress Creek High School students were welcomed at the new ACCESS Orlando office for a full day of 3D printing demonstrations, followed by presentations on advanced CAM software, concluding with lunch and a Q&A session with ACCESS manufacturing experts.

“We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with MACF and help the local education community,” said Joe Lagennusa, national sales manager of ACCESS Manufacturing Systems. “It’s very important to educate these students on the latest, most innovative manufacturing technologies. We’re really proud to be a part of this campaign.”

According to the Program Coordinator at Orange County Public Schools, Franco Frazzetta, the goal of the 3D printing program is ultimately to promote additive manufacturing as a career field. “[Because] this is such a new field, we are looking for some mentoring. Our students do have 3D printing programs that they utilize, but we are always looking towards our local manufacturers as models for best practices in the industry to help guide our instruction,” Frazzetta said.

Manufacturers Association of Central Florida Director of Marketing & Communications, Christian Davidson, said, “I know the students are excited to visit [the ACCESS] facility!”

The MACF has worked as a non-profit organization, for over 27 years, elevating the local manufacturing industry. Their ties to Central Florida educational institutions allows for partnerships with manufacturing companies, encouraging students to enhance their knowledge and take advantage of the various local manufacturing career opportunities.

ACCESS successfully created an immersive experience for the students, who were able to discover the complexities of designing parts in advanced 3D printing software, as well as witnessing those designs come to life by being printed in various metals and composites on Markforged 3D printers, and RIZE full-color industrial 3D printers.

Students also enjoyed presentations on advanced CAM software and 3D G-code simulation, followed by a Q&A session, along with lunch, courtesy of ACCESS Manufacturing Systems.

ZVOX Announces New Online Hearing Screening Ahead of Over The Counter (OTC) Hearing Aid Regulation Implementation

https://www.prweb.com/

ZVOX Online Hearing Test Screen Shot

The ZVOX screening uses words in background noise, which may better represent your difficulty in noisy environments. Available at zvox.com/hearingtest, all you need to take the screening is a pair of headphones or earbuds.

ZVOX Audio, the pioneering speaker and hearing technology company, has launched an online hearing screening that allows people to get a hearing analysis without leaving their homes. Unlike conventional tests, which measure your ability to hear “beep sounds” at various frequencies and volumes, the ZVOX test measures your ability to understand the human voice in a noisy environment. Developed by hearX Group, a South African digital hearing company, the new test is based on a recently published study of hearing assessment.

“Conventional hearing tests use tones to evaluate your hearing,” says ZVOX CEO Tom Hannaher. “But this screening uses words in background noise, which may better represent your difficulty in noisy environments.” Available at zvox.com/hearingtest, all you need to take the screening is a pair of headphones or earbuds. While some people should have their hearing tested by a trained audiologist, for those with mild to moderate hearing loss, the ZVOX test should prove to be highly effective.

ZVOX. A new kind of hearing company.

ZVOX was founded in 2003 by two long-time consumer electronics veterans. ZVOX is credited by CNET with “perfecting the TV sound bar.” In 2016 they introduced a TV speaker that uses hearing aid technology to make dialogue easier to understand. Their patented AccuVoice design led them into the world of audiology and hearing aids, where they met Dr. Thomas Powers, former VP of Audiology for Siemens Hearing Aids. Dr. Powers helped guide the development of ZVOX’s VB20 hearing aid.

ZVOX now makes a variety of hearing related products including speakers, wireless headphones and hearing aids. It sells though zvox.com, Amazon, Home Shopping Network, QVC, and selected retailers including Magnolia stores within Best Buy locations.

About ZVOX.

ZVOX, a pioneer in speaker and hearing aid technology, is recognized for introducing the first commercially successful sound bar in 2004, the first soundbase TV audio system in 2008, and the first speaker dedicated to dialogue clarity in 2016. The company has been committed to enhanced hearing solutions for over 16 years.

Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine Nears $30M in Fundraising

https://www.prweb.com/

KCU College of Dental Medicine rendering

“The four-state area faces an oral health care crisis and a troubling shortage of dentists. Through this new college of dental medicine, we hope to expand access to oral health care for those who need it most.”

In just four months since announcing plans for a new College of Dental Medicine (CDM) on its Joplin, Mo., campus, Kansas City University (KCU) has now secured three-quarters of its $40 million philanthropic goal. This fundraising includes a recently announced pledge of $10 million from the Joplin Regional Medical School Alliance (JRMSA); a $10 million gift from Harry M. Cornell; a $6 million gift from The Sunderland Foundation; and gifts from Neosho banker Rudy Farber, The Farber Foundation and Larry McIntire, DO. Additionally, the University Board of Trustees has committed $40 million towards the $80 million project. The KCU College of Dental Medicine will provide an opportunity to educate dental students to meet the critical oral health-care needs in the surrounding underserved region of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

“KCU is proud to have reached this milestone so quickly and is grateful to these generous benefactors for their support of this important effort,” said Marc B. Hahn, DO, president and CEO of KCU. “The four-state area faces an oral health care crisis and a troubling shortage of dentists. Through this new college of dental medicine, we hope to expand access to oral health care for those who need it most.”

In 2015, the community based foundation JRMSA helped to raise over $40 million to support the construction of KCU’s Farber-McIntire Campus (KCU-Joplin) and the university’s second College of Osteopathic Medicine location.

“Alliance members, donors and the community at-large retain a vital interest in the new medical school and its students,” said McIntire, president of JRMSA. “KCU’s recent efforts to develop a KCU College of Dental Medicine has been embraced as an important part of our mission. The success of KCU’s medical school campus in Joplin contributes greatly to the confidence that the College of Dental Medicine on the same campus will also be successful.”

A $6 million grant from The Sunderland Foundation was the lead gift to KCU to develop the CDM. This gift will be commemorated with The Sunderland Skyway Bridge, an elevated walkway connecting KCU’s future College of Dental Medicine with its current College of Osteopathic Medicine on the Joplin, Mo. campus.

“We focus on the bricks and mortar because they represent the rich history of our company, Ash Grove Cement,” said Kent Sunderland, president of the Sunderland Foundation Board of Trustees. “Yet we keep in mind the people who will be served in those facilities and we are happy to support an initiative that will result in people in the Joplin region living healthier lives.”

Mr. Cornell’s $10 million gift is the second donation to KCU in the past five years. His first gift of $10 million was instrumental in the development of the KCU-Joplin College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mr. Cornell’s generosity will be honored by naming the new College of Dental Medicine building The Harry M. Cornell Dental Education Center.

According to the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the majority of counties within a 125-mile radius of Joplin are Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas (DHPSAs). In Missouri, 376 dentists are currently needed to remove the DHPSA designation, with Arkansas needing 105 dentists, Kansas needing 103, and Oklahoma requiring 166. What’s more, there are currently only three dental schools in the region: two in Missouri and one in Oklahoma, with none in either Kansas or Arkansas.

“Two years ago, we answered the call to meet the growing primary care and rural health needs of the region by establishing a medical school campus in Joplin,” said Hahn. “We know that oral health profoundly impacts overall health. Having a CDM physically located next to our College of Osteopathic Medicine provides a tremendous opportunity to integrate oral health into overall health to make the broadest impact and improve the well-being of the communities we serve.”

KCU anticipates breaking ground on the facility in 2020, with plans to welcome the first class of 80 students in 2022. A nationwide search for a dean of the College of Dental Medicine is currently underway.

Skin Care Institute, Oklahoma’s Top-Rated Medical Spa, Now Offering Advanced Injectables Treatments with Microtox® and BeautiPHIcation™.

Skin Care Institute is thrilled to expand its injectable service offerings with MicroTox® and BeautiPHIcation™, two advanced, state-of-the-art methods for administering age-defying injectables treatments.

Renowned for their injectables treatments and one of the top 250 Allergan accounts in the country, Skin Care Institute is thrilled to expand its injectable service offerings with MicroTox® and BeautiPHIcation™, two advanced, state-of-the-art methods for administering age-defying injectables treatments. Skin Care Institute’s master-level injectors have undergone advanced training to administer these state-of-the-art injectables services.

MicroTox involves administering “micro” injections of a diluted form of Botox® into the shallow layers of the skin, as opposed to traditional Botox injections, which target deeper muscles. When Botox is injected into the shallow areas of the face and neck, it provides a “shrink wrap” effect to the skin, causing lines and wrinkles to tighten and smooth out for a younger-looking appearance within minutes. Botox typically takes four to 14 days to take full effect, but MicroTox affords immediate benefits, improving skin texture and radiance, smoothing horizontal creases, reducing vertical neck banding, shrinking pore size and more.

Pioneered by Dr. Arthur Swift, BeautiPHIcation is a precise method of injecting based on “phi,” a mathematical concept based on symmetry that was developed by Leonardo Da Vinci and is known as “the golden ratio.” Applying phi measurements to the face, Skin Care Institute’s master injectors can administer the most balanced and natural-looking dermal fillers to restore each patient’s unique ideal of beauty.

In addition to MicroTox and BeautiPHIcation, Skin Care Institute offers award-winning injectables treatments with Botox® and the complete suite of Juvéderm® dermal fillers, including Volbella®, Voluma® and Vollure XC™. For non-invasive body contouring, Skin Care Institute offers CoolSculpting®, the world’s most popular non-invasive fat reduction treatment, and Emsculpt® non-invasive muscle-toning. Other acclaimed treatments include Kybella®, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with SkinPen® micro-needling, PRP hair restoration, Ultherapy® skin tightening, Emsella® for urinary incontinence, Clear + Brilliant® skin rejuvenation, Fraxel® Dual laser skin resurfacing, HydraFacial MD® Elite, clinical-grade chemical peels, laser hair removal, photofacials, and Botox® and dermal fillers.

Skin Care Institute also offers a leading selection of spa treatments, including facials, body waxing, lash and brow services, physician-grade and organic skin care products and much more.
