Anchor Stablecoin is Now Live and Available for Trading on IDEX Exchange

Anchor’s token listing on IDEX, one of the world’s leading decentralized exchanges, marks an important milestone in our promise to provide a scalable and viable alternative to fiat-pegged stablecoins to crypto traders, businesses, governments, and individuals around the world.

Anchor (ANCT), a two-token, algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the sustainable and predictable growth trend of the global economy, is now listed and available for trading on IDEX, the world’s leading decentralized cryptocurrency exchange. IDEX provides retail and institutional traders with a secure, trustless, and real-time trading experience backed by transparent blockchain settlements.

Following Anchor’s token launch on Liquid in August, IDEX is the second exchange to list the stablecoin offering ANCT for purchasing, selling, and trading to crypto traders, investors, and stablecoin enthusiasts. ANCT offers token users a hedge against daily market volatility, long-term price stability with steady appreciation over time, ease of fiat currency on-ramp and off-ramp, and liquidity.

IDEX CEO Alex Wearn said, “Next-generation stablecoins like Anchor (ANCT) hold a promising future. We’re excited to play a part in unlocking more diverse financial services and options for our traders.”

Anchor Founder and CEO Daniel Popa stated, “Anchor’s token listing on IDEX, one of the world’s leading decentralized exchanges, marks an important milestone in our promise to provide a scalable and viable alternative to fiat-pegged stablecoins to crypto traders, businesses, governments, and individuals around the world. As the first to market a new category of digital global currencies, Anchor is uniquely independent from any fiat currency’s value and is pegged 1-to-1 with the Monetary Measurement Unit (MMU), a non-flationary financial index, which reflects the sustainable growth of the global economy.”

A two-token, algorithmic stablecoin, Anchor is pegged to global economic growth via the Monetary Measurement Unit (MMU). The MMU is a non-flationary financial index created by an algorithm that tracks a series of macroeconomic indicators to provide the most accurate, available measure of real value that exists in the world today.

Stablecoins backed by fiat are susceptible to the same market fluctuations, depreciation, and loss of purchasing power as their traditional counterparts to which they are pegged. The global economy, on the other hand, has a sustainable and predictable growth trend with global GDP steadily increasing over time. Providing an alternative to fiat-pegged stablecoins, Anchor will remain stable regardless of any fiat currency’s strength, market fluctuations, or economic recessions.

Anchor’s next-generation tokenomics incorporates an elastic supply rule that adjusts the quantity of coin supply proportionately to changes in Anchor’s market value with a two-token, burn-mint model that adheres to naturally occurring Contraction and Expansion Phases. Anchor Tokens (ANCT) serve as the main currency/payment tokens, while Dock Tokens (DOCT) serve as the utility tokens that ensure ANCT remains pegged to the MMU regardless of external market fluctuations.

Beyond trading, Anchor’s stablecoin could be leveraged to significantly reduce fees and transaction times when sending remittances or making international payments via wire transfer or credit card. The unbanked can join the Anchor Economy simply by downloading the Anchor Wallet to a mobile phone, which enables funds to be stored, sent, and received without value lost due to transaction fees. Furthermore, Anchor’s financial index, the MMU, has the potential to become a new financial standard and an ideal value peg for countries issuing their own sovereign cryptocurrencies, such as the Marshall Islands along with 18 other countries creating or researching the issuance of a decentralized digital currency.

In addition, Anchor is planning to enter its first round of fundraising and will be offering traditional equity in exchange for financing from institutional investors, VCs, and private equity firms. Chief Communications Officer, Olya Moskalenko will be available to meet with interested parties during Invest: NYC at the New York Marriott Marquis between November 11th – 13th.

Users can purchase and trade Anchor (ANCT) on IDEX now by signing up or logging into their IDEX accounts and following this link: https://idex.market/eth/anct

Please note, trading ANCT on IDEX from the United States is currently unavailable.

New Podcast Sponsored by Asymmetrex Increases Awareness to the Need for Stem Cell Dose in Stem Cell Treatments

Asymmetrex Sponsors Podcast on “Counting Stem Cells for a New Era of Medicine”

Dose is essential for stem cell medicine as well.

In October, Massachusetts stem cell biotechnology company Asymmetrex launched a new podcast to provide information to patients about a poorly disclosed deficiency in stem cell treatments. Throughout stem cell medical practice, stem cell treatments are given without knowing the dose of the treating stem cells. This problem affects all patients receiving stem cell treatments, including patients receiving approved treatments in routine clinical practice, patients volunteering for experimental treatments in FDA-authorized clinical trials, and patients obtaining unapproved treatments in private stem cell clinics.

The costs and dangers of unknown stem cell dose in treatments are significant. Stem cell clinical trials cannot be interpreted without knowing the treatment dose, leading to huge wastes of both federal and private clinical research dollars. In the case of manufactured stem cells, many treatments may contain very few or no stem cells at all. It is impossible for doctors to improve treatments without knowing the stem cell dose. Stem cell donors for approved treatments like blood stem cell transplantation are scarce. Knowing the stem cell dose would allow doctors to know when a treatment sample has enough stem cells to treat more than one patient; or when it does not have enough to treat even a single patient. In the second case, not knowing the stem cell dose can result in the death of children treated for leukemia when unknowingly they receive an umbilical cord blood transplant with too few blood stem cells to save them.

Earlier this year, the FDA recognized the pressing need for stem cell dose in stem cell medicine. The agency’s Standards Coordinating Body for Regenerative Medicine (SCB) listed stem cell dose determination as a priority for needed standards for stem cell medicine. Dose is a fundamental principle for the discovery, development, and administration of quality medicines. Asymmetrex Director James L. Sherley, M.D., Ph.D., who is featured in the new podcast, says that, “Dose is essential for stem cell medicine as well. The new podcast has the goal of informing the end users of stem cell treatments: the patients, their doctors, their families, and their advocates, including the FDA. When the people most impacted by these treatments understand that knowing the dose of stem cells is just as important as knowing the dose of their other medicines, they will be empowered to demand this essential certification of the integrity of their stem cell treatments.”

The first episode of the podcast, “Counting Stem Cells For A New Era Of Medicine,” aired online on October 17. The third episode of the biweekly, 6-episode series is scheduled for airing November 12. Each episode features an interview of Asymmetrex Director Sherley by podcast producer Jordan Rich. Mr. Rich guides Dr. Sherley through a discussion of questions that reveal the current challenges that Asymmetrex is addressing to achieve full adoption of stem cell dose as a routine practice in stem cell medicine. The series also highlights other significant applications for stem cell counting in drug development and environmental health science. In conjunction with this educational effort, the company is also sponsoring a study on its website to evaluate the current state of public, academic, and industry knowledge of coming changes in stem cell medicine related to the adoption of stem cell dose.

About Asymmetrex

Asymmetrex, LLC is a Massachusetts life sciences company with a focus on developing technologies to advance stem cell medicine. Asymmetrex’s founder and director, James L. Sherley, M.D., Ph.D. is an internationally recognized expert on the unique properties of adult tissue stem cells. The company’s patent portfolio contains biotechnologies that solve the two main technical problems – production and quantification – that have stood in the way of successful commercialization of human adult tissue stem cells for regenerative medicine and drug development. In addition, the portfolio includes novel technologies for isolating cancer stem cells and producing induced pluripotent stem cells for disease research purposes. Asymmetrex markets the first technology for determination of the dose and quality of tissue stem cell preparations (the “AlphaSTEM Test™”) for use in stem cell transplantation therapies and pre-clinical drug evaluations.

Solvang Insurance Agent, Rick Torres, Releases The Top Reasons To Bundle Insurance Coverage

News Image

When your insurance policies are with the same company, you have a very important benefit and customer commitment that comes with centralized risk assessment.

Combining home or renters insurance with auto insurance makes good sense for the budget but there are other very tangible benefits to bundle insurance policies. Rick Torres, Solvang insurance agent recently released the top reasons for people to consider combining insurance coverage.

It’s not uncommon for people to have auto insurance with one company and homeowners or renters with another. When starting out, a young, single person gets car insurance either through their parents’ insurance or on the recommendation of a friend or a television commercial. Later, when out on their own and they start accumulating furniture and electronics, they may get renter’s insurance to protect their possessions or may be required to carry a minimum policy by a landlord. As life moves along and they start families, buy homes, buy new cars, they continue to shop for the best deals in insurance without investigating the benefits of combining policies.

Aside from the potential savings, someone gets by combining insurance policies, there are other benefits such as:

  • Convenience: The convenience of keeping track of only one due date instead of two or more is a plus in anyone’s busy schedule. Also, consider the fact that there is one number to call with questions or to make a claim.
  • Personal attention: Combining insurance policies with one company means you have an insurance agent who gives your insurance needs personal attention. Regular policy reviews are scheduled to keep your coverage at the best level for your current circumstances. There is only one person to call when life changes your insurance needs. There aren’t many life changes that don’t require a thorough insurance review. Getting married or divorced, having children, a new job or a promotion, graduating college, even buying a home can mean changes to insurance on that paid for 10-year old car you’ve been driving since it was new.
  • Better risk assessment: Changes in life circumstances can mean it’s time for a new risk assessment. Unfortunately, all the good things that come our way in life can leave us vulnerable in the event of accidents. This includes traffic accidents, fender-benders, a visitor tripping and falling on your front porch, your dog playing too rough with the neighbor’s kid and scratching an arm or leg. Even when someone accidentally injured in your vehicle or on your property has the best intentions, medical complications that take the matter beyond anyone’s control can happen.

When your insurance policies are with the same company, you have a very important benefit and customer commitment that comes with centralized risk assessment. An invaluable asset is having one agent who knows your policies and when to make the best recommendations for you.

The Rick Torres Insurance Agency in Solvang, CA is committed to providing policyholders the highest quality of service by making sure individuals and families are insured for the best protection with the least impact on the budget as possible. Call today to find about combining insurance coverage, getting a current risk assessment, and to discover the many other benefits of working with the Rick Torres Insurance Agency.

Genomenon Accelerates Rare and Genetic Disease Research with Mastermind v2.0

Mastermind Genomic Search Engine, version 2.0

“This new functionality will be invaluable in our ongoing work to diagnose and treat babies with rare diseases.” Shareef Nahas, Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine.

Genomenon® announced the release of Mastermind® version 2.0 today. The Genomic Search Engine now includes the ability to search the entirety of the genomic literature by phenotypes (symptoms). This new functionality will further accelerate diagnosis of patients with genetic and rare diseases.

Patients, particularly those with rare diseases, don’t always have a name for their condition. This makes it very difficult to diagnose and treat their disease. The ability to search the genetic literature by symptoms (following the Human Phenotype Ontology, or HPO) helps clinicians narrow their diagnosis to the appropriate disease and treatment.

Genomenon’s Mastermind Genomic Search Engine is the world’s largest and most complete source of genomic evidence. Doctors and researchers use Mastermind to find the scientific evidence relevant to their patients’ DNA profile for diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations. The new release of Mastermind includes a more streamlined search function to help doctors more quickly scour through the millions of research articles to find cases that match their patients’ genomic profile and symptoms.

The ability to search by phenotype was the top feature requested by the children’s hospitals and genetic testing labs that use Mastermind for variant interpretation. A preview of the new version was well received at the American Society for Human Genetics annual meeting in October.

“We are world-renowned for the speed of our WGS (whole genome sequencing) interpretations, and using Mastermind has been a crucial step in accelerating our progress.” said Shareef Nahas, Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine. “This new functionality will be invaluable in our ongoing work to diagnose and treat babies with rare diseases.”

“The ability to search by phenotype gives Mastermind users even more power to discover which genes in a patient’s DNA are most likely to be relevant based on empirical data in the medical literature.” Said Dr. Mark Kiel, co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Genomenon.

About Genomenon

Genomenon connects patient DNA with the billions of dollars spent on research to help doctors diagnose and cure cancer patients and babies with rare diseases. Our flagship product, the Mastermind Genomic Search Engine is used by hundreds of genetic labs worldwide to accelerate diagnosis, increase diagnostic yield and assure repeatability in reporting genetic testing results. We license our Mastermind Curated Genomic Datasets to pharmaceutical and bio-pharma companies to inform precision medicine development, deliver genomic biomarkers for clinical trial target selection, and support CDx regulatory submissions with empirical evidence.

Margaret Ann Fiore’s newly released “The Radiance of Christ” is a profound and personal read that shows the beauty and true meaning of being a priest

News Image

“The Radiance of Christ: The Priesthood of Monsignor Kenneth W. Roeltgen”: a touching biography of a promising priest in pages that speak about his extraordinary life in faith and service. “The Radiance of Christ: The Priesthood of Monsignor Kenneth W. Roeltgen” is the creation of published author Margaret Ann Fiore, a nurse practitioner for over four decades. She serves on the Rector’s Council of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She was also the third president of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and founded the Brain Tumor Support Group in the Metropolitan Washington area. Additionally, she has written several scholarly papers on the science and practical management of patients with neurological tumors that she presented to distinguished audiences worldwide.

Fiore shares, “The memory of Msgr. Roeltgen has not been dimmed by time. Those who knew him and were trained to virtue by his precepts and example love to speak of him, to repeat his words, and tell incidents of his holy life.

“Monsignor’s life and character had a beauty few achieve. The gentleness of his manner, the strength of his character, the validity of his priestly commitment, and the unswerving love of God, the Church, the priesthood and, of course, his brother priests and his parishioners were so apparent to all who knew him that we knew we experienced a rare blessing and were especially gifted by the Lord in him.

“This book will be of immense spiritual value to all who know and want to know God, and will strengthen their faith, hope, and charity in these days when there is an apparent conspiracy at work to erase the consciousness of God from the minds of men.

“‘We are but high up old windows through which the grace of God still shines.’ This sentence aptly describes our much loved and deeply missed friend. Monsignor Roeltgen was, indeed, a man who let the light of God shine through.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Margaret Ann Fiore’s new book is a great preservation of the life of a good and holy priest that will also inspire others who wish to serve God and His people. This creation is also a wonderful gift to seminarians, priests, laity, and everyone who acknowledges the commitment of men to the holy priesthood.

KnowBe4 Brings Security Awareness Training to the State of Texas Thanks to New Certified Status

News Image

Government organizations really need this type of training to build up their human firewall, which will help to protect them against the ongoing problem of social engineering. -Stu Sjouwerman, CEO, KnowBe4

KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, today announced that it is now certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources for state and local government employees in Texas.

House Bill 3834 (86R) was created to require that state and local government employees take mandatory cybersecurity training to help better protect the government. It requires that the Texas Department of Information Resources, in consultation with the Texas Cybersecurity Council, certify cybersecurity training programs for state and local government employees. KnowBe4 has been selected to be certified. The course requirements include a focus on information security habits and procedures that protect information resources and teach best practices for detecting, assessing, reporting and addressing information security threats.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to bring our security awareness training and simulated phishing to more of the government employees who work for the state of Texas,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO, KnowBe4. “State and local governments have been making headlines recently due to an onslaught of ransomware attacks. Government organizations really need this type of training to build up their human firewall, which will help to protect them against the ongoing problem of social engineering.”

An organization can measure its Phish-proneTM Percentage, which indicates how many of their employees are likely to fall for a phishing or social engineering scam, to evaluate the security mindset of its employees. Every organization regardless of size and vertical is susceptible to phishing and social engineering without computer-based training. The average initial baseline Phish-prone Percentage is around 30% and after one year of testing and simulated phishing, drops down to just 2%.
