Our first goal is always to keep our students safe and healthy, and our second goal is to open the doors and get students back in the classroom learning. SchoolInfoApp is helping us do both.

Monitoring and tracking student and staff exposure to COVID-19 and reports of those experiencing known symptoms is a critical part of school plans for reopening classrooms this fall. SchoolInfoApp today announced the release of the COVID-19 Symptom and Exposure Tracker, a new feature available with school and district mobile apps developed and managed by SchoolInfoApp. Accessed directly from within the school or district’s official mobile app, the COVID-19 Symptom and Exposure Tracker is designed to quickly pre-screen students and other visitors before they come to campus each day and identify anyone currently experiencing any of the known COVID-19 Coronavirus symptoms or anyone who has recently been potentially exposed. Students, staff and others wishing to enter campus are prompted on their iPhone, Android or other mobile device to review the known symptoms and confirm Yes or No if they are experiencing any symptoms and to report any possible exposure. Early identification allows school administrators the opportunity to then monitor and instruct those who pose a higher risk of spreading the novel coronavirus to stay home, contact their healthcare provider and complete any further steps before they can return to campus.

Richard Strong, Superintendent of West Carroll Parish Schools in Louisiana reports, “Our first goal is always to keep our students safe and healthy, and our second goal is to open the doors and get students back in the classroom learning. SchoolInfoApp is helping us do both.”

With the COVID-19 Symptom and Exposure Tracker by SchoolInfoApp, schools can:

  • Require students, staff and other campus visitors to self-report if they are experiencing known symptoms or exposure daily, weekly or prior to any campus visit
  • Instruct anyone identified with symptoms or possible exposure to STOP and not come to campus
  • Monitor anyone on campus via instant digital identification that they have self-reported to be clear of any symptoms and no known exposure
  • Safely and securely store all responses for administrative review, oversight, attendance-record comparison and follow up

“We are pleased to be able to play a role in assisting schools with the monumental task of reopening safely. We’ve heard from countless school administrators of the imperative need for an efficient process for early-identification and monitoring of students and staff experiencing symptoms or possible exposure,” says Julie Riggs, President of SchoolInfoApp.
