Design Control and Validation Aligned with CLSI H62, Upcoming Webinar Hosted by Xtalks

[ad_1]

Flow cytometry is considered an ideal technology for the detection of rare populations of cells.

Rare event analysis by flow cytometry is relatively common in research settings, in clinical laboratories and during drug discovery and development. For example, in research and drug discovery environments, the measurement of intracellular cytokines and intracellular signaling events (i.e., protein phosphorylation) are some of the more common rare event assays. Whereas in clinical laboratories, assays for rare events often include the measurement of CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and minimal residual disease (MRD) of blood cancers. During drug development and clinical trial evaluation of new therapeutic modalities, rare event methods might also include the monitoring of CAR cellular therapies and the efficacy of cell-depleting therapies.

Flow cytometry is considered an ideal technology for the detection of rare populations of cells. Not only can multiple characteristics on individual cells be measured, but also a large number of cells can be evaluated in a relatively short amount of time. However, as the technology moves out of research and non-regulated settings into clinical laboratories and the regulated phases of preclinical and clinical drug development, concerns related to how to develop, validate and implement robust assays for rare event measurements arise.

This webinar will address those concerns by introducing the concept Design Control and how its application can facilitate assay development and validation. Design Control is a structured process which is applied to the conduct of product development activities. While Design Control is mandatory in regulated industries, it can be easily adopted in non-regulated settings to increase successful outcomes.

Register today and learn about rare event analysis in flow cytometry using design control and validation approaches aligned with CLSI H62.

Join Virginia Litwin, PhD, Director of Scientific Affairs, Eurofins BioPharma Services, for the live webinar on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11am EDT (5pm CEST/EU-Central).

Statistics Show Effective LinkedIn Strategies Propel Dental Brands

[ad_1]

Logo for Our Thrive Tribe

“LinkedIn is a valuable tool for dental organizations to establish their brand and humanize their business.” Sarah Ruberg

Our Thrive Tribe, a leading marketing agency in the dental industry, today released a statement emphasizing the value of LinkedIn in building brand awareness and how to humanize dental brands.

LinkedIn has emerged as one of the most powerful social media platforms for businesses to connect with professionals across different industries. According to LinkedIn, the platform has over 900 million members, and 4 out of 5 LinkedIn users drive business decisions in their companies. With this kind of audience, DSOs can use LinkedIn to showcase their brand, dental practices and build trust while engaging with potential industry partners. On top of that, LinkedIn is also the #1 rated platform for B2B marketing lead generation.

“LinkedIn is a valuable tool for dental organizations to establish their brand and humanize their business,” said Sarah Ruberg, CEO of Our Thrive Tribe. “Through LinkedIn, we help DSO executives learn how to present their organization, not just run it. By humanizing their brand, DSOs and dental industry partners can establish a strong emotional connection with their audience and build long-lasting relationships.”

To humanize dental brands on LinkedIn, Our Thrive Tribe recommends that dental organizations should:

  • Provide education: Share helpful content with your target audience, and position your brand as an expert in that dental niche. You will be the first to look to when they want to explore their options further in scaling their company’s opportunities.
  • Put a face to the name: Use pictures and videos of your team, graphics that outline your core values, and help build a persona besides the service your brand offers.
  • Celebrate Others in the Industry: Believe it or not, your company’s LinkedIn content should be about more than just how spectacular your brand is. Highlight accomplishments and big announcements of other notable companies in the dental industry, and build relationships past just potential clients.
  • Showcase your team: Highlight your team members and their accomplishments. This can showcase your organization’s expertise while emphasizing the importance of team culture.
  • Prioritize engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and questions from your audience on your own content, but also prioritize outward engagement and associating your brand (both professionally and personally) with the dental industry.

By implementing these strategies, DSOs and dental industry partners can establish their brand on LinkedIn and humanize their company. With the help of Our Thrive Tribe, these dental organizations can take advantage of LinkedIn’s potential to showcase their expertise, build trust, and connect with the dental industry as a whole.

About Our Thrive Tribe:

Thought Technology Ltd. Enters Co-Marketing Agreement with Austrian Virtual Reality Company, VR Coach GmbH

[ad_1]

biofeedback, virtual reality

A sample VR image with psychophysiological data shown at right.

Biofeedback makes a perfect combination with VR therapy, as anxiety stimuli are made visible very quickly.

Thought Technology, an international leader in the field of psychophysiological monitoring equipment, has been selected by VR Coach to provide a biofeedback element for their VR Coach smart system for virtual reality therapy. The partnership will highlight the benefits of combining biofeedback with VR therapy to enhance the individual methods.

One of the main uses of VR therapy is in the treatment of phobias. According to current science, confrontation with fear stimuli is considered the most effective training method. However, it is difficult, time-consuming and expensive for therapists to seek out the appropriate stimuli in “real life” with patients. The VR Coach smart system provides everything the clinician needs to get started with VR therapy and offers various software options that allow specific situations to be produced at the touch of a button. All training can take place within the practice and effective exposures can take place much more often, resulting in even more effectiveness.

The addition of Thought Technology’s eVu TPS® sensor allows the client to see their stress response and how their body is reacting to the fear stimuli in real time. The sensor detects and transmits three highly researched measurements of psychophysiological health: heart rate variability, skin conductance and temperature. This information can be displayed as a bar or line graph within the VR training screen. Both for therapists in the control software as well as for patients in the VR goggle. As training progresses, the stress response is visibly decreased.

Launched in 2016, the eVu TPS® sensor is an innovative tool that relays the user’s biometric data to the eVu® Senz companion app on an Android and IOS smartphone or tablet. It is widely used by biofeedback practitioners as a home training device that provides their clients with an accurate and immediate gauge of stress, focus, relaxation and recovery.

“We know the addition of our instrumentation will offer great benefits to VR Coach users by providing a window into their clients’ psychophysiological condition,” said Helen Mavros, Director of Sales and Marketing at Thought Technology. “VR therapy has emerged as a promising tool to help clinicians address a number of conditions and VR Coach is at the forefront of innovation in the field. We are proud to partner with them in this endeavor.”

VR Coach founder, Michael Altenhofer commented, “Thought Technology is known internationally as a pioneer in the field of biofeedback and they were an obvious choice of partner when we decided to add a biofeedback component to the VR Coach smart system. Biofeedback makes a perfect combination with VR therapy, as anxiety stimuli are made visible very quickly. We are excited to have our product included in Thought Tech’s portfolio and look forward to introducing their existing and new customers to VR therapy.”

About VR Coach GmbH

VR Coach Ltd. was founded in Austria in 2019 by Michael Altenhofer together with additional partners from the fields of clinical psychology and neuroscience. The vision was and is to develop innovative and highly interactive content for virtual reality therapy in order to be able to perform effective exposures both easily and quickly in any private practice or clinic.

About Thought Technology Ltd.

Founded in 1975, Thought Technology is the world’s leading biofeedback and physiological instrument manufacturer. Its products are used as an essential part of many therapeutic treatments and clinical assessment protocols in over 85 countries and are used by tens of thousands of clinicians in thousands of medical institutions.

Always supportive of new research and development ideas, Thought Technology Ltd. has encouraged a number of special interest groups and clinicians to create cutting edge applications for its instrumentation.
