Planet DDS Named as one of Orange County’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies for the 5th Year in a row

“We’re honored to be recognized by the OCBJ as one of the fastest-growing private companies for the 5th year running and we’re excited to keep the momentum going and grow even more in the years to come.”

Planet DDS, the nation’s leading provider of cloud-based enterprise dental practice management software, recently made the Orange County Business Journal’s (OCBJ) list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for the fifth straight year. Planet DDS was also recognized by the OCBJ as one of the Best Places to Work in Orange County.

Planet DDS was first to the cloud fifteen years ago with Denticon, a practice management software solution built from the ground up for multi-location dental organizations. Accelerating consolidation in the dental industry has fueled much of Planet DDS’ growth as established and emerging dental organizations realize the need for a modern cloud-based solution like Denticon.

“We’re honored to be recognized by the OCBJ as one of the fastest-growing private companies for the 5th year running and we’re excited to keep the momentum going and grow even more in the years to come,” noted John Adams, Planet DDS Director of Sales.

Planet DDS’ rapid growth also secured them a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies in 2019, the company’s second appearance on that list in recent years.

“Making the OCBJ’s list is a direct result of the hard work by all of our team members. We don’t just make software, we make solutions that help our clients be more successful. All of us here at Planet DDS operate with that goal in mind,” added John Adams.

Planet DDS’ Denticon cloud-based practice management software is the only proven, time-tested software offering that was built from the ground up for multi-location groups in the cloud. Denticon has the largest footprint among emerging and established dental groups of any cloud software provider, allowing clients to break free from the constraints of desktop software with a comprehensive solution that includes the tools needed to standardize, centralize, and grow. All while reducing IT cost and enhancing security. Learn more about Denticon at http://www.planetdds.com.

Transpara by ScreenPoint Medical at EUSOBI 2019

“The Transpara Experience” masterclass hands-on workshops at EUSOBI 2019

“We are excited to see that Transpara features in both the clinical and medical education programs this year and look forward to hearing the results on earlier breast cancer detection,”

EUSOBI Booth #2 – Transpara™ by ScreenPoint Medical to showcase new medical education program to demonstrate real life use of breast AI.

At EUSOBI in Budapest, ScreenPoint Medical will launch its new medical education program with a series of workshops entitled, “The Transpara experience – true multi-vendor, evidence-based breast AI for mammography.”

Transpara is an AI solution for breast cancer screening, that uses deep learning algorithms to automatically detect lesions suspicious for breast cancer in 2D and 3D mammograms. The software categorises mammograms on a 10-point scale indicating the risk that cancer is present. This Exam Score can be used to triage examinations and help radiologists to prioritise patients for further investigation. Interactive decision support of suspicious regions is provided to support radiologists with image interpretation. Studies have shown that Transpara matches the performance of radiologists , thus acting as a second opinion which increases diagnostic confidence and accuracy .

“The launch of our medical education program at EUSOBI shows our strong commitment to training in the use of commercially available breast AI,” said Nico Karssemeijer, CEO for ScreenPoint Medical. “Customers are looking for evidence-based AI solutions that work with their current IT and mammography infrastructure, so we worked hard to develop these masterclass hands-on workshops to demonstrate what Transpara can do right now for radiologists in their daily clinical practice.”

In parallel to these dedicated Transpara activities, ScreenPoint Medical is partnering with Siemens Healthineers for the “mammography reading beyond scrolling through the slices” workshops.

“The EUSOBI meeting is an important highlight in the breast imaging calendar. We are excited to see that Transpara features in both the clinical and medical education programs this year and look forward to hearing the results on earlier breast cancer detection,” adds ScreenPoint Medical co-founder Sir Michael Brady.

These commercially available 2D, 3D and combo mammography solutions are on display at the Annual European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) meeting in Budapest, Hungary this week.

About ScreenPoint Medical:

ScreenPoint Medical is a leader in the development of image analysis technology which enables the automated reading of mammograms and digital breast tomosynthesis examinations. With proven accuracy matching that of experienced radiologists, ScreenPoint’s Transpara™ system is the most advanced available, exploiting Big Data, Deep Learning and the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence. The system can identify high risk breast lesions faster than before enabling earlier detection, earlier treatment and a greater chance of survival.

Landmark Furniture & Mattresses for Less President Brad Taylor Calls Out Fellow Furniture Industry Leaders in the Houston Area While Donating $30K

Mattresses for Less & Landmark Furniture have teamed up with the Houston Furniture Bank and have committed $30k to keep Houston children off the floor. This significant donation to the Houston Furniture Bank and the #nokidsonthefloor movement, aims to alleviate the “where to sleep” issue for children in poverty, who are sleeping on the floor in the Greater Houston Area.

Studies have shown that kids who regularly get an adequate amount of sleep have improved attention, behavior, learning, memory and overall mental and physical health. Not getting enough sleep can lead to high blood pressure, obesity and even depression.

In Houston, one in six families lives under the federal poverty line. 500K Houston families make less than half of that same federal poverty threshold.

Many of the families who come through the door at the Houston Furniture Bank explain they do not have mattresses for their children.

Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture owner Brad Taylor took to social media to help champion the #nokidsonthefloor cause by calling out fellow furniture and mattress retailers in the Houston area to step up and donate to this worthy cause.

“The truth is, anyone can help! It only takes $150 to get a child off the floor and sleeping comfortably on a bed set!” Brad said. “If we work together, we can help end this problem and help everyone rest more comfortably!”

Founded in 1997, Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture has grown from one man’s dream to one of the fastest-growing furniture retailers in Houston. Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture are a family-run business, that believes in working hard, being honest to customers, and bringing people the widest selection of name-brand mattresses and bedroom furniture at the best prices. Everyone deserves an affordable, comfortable mattress and a better night’s sleep.

Mattresses for Less/Landmark Furniture is one of Houston’s fastest growing retailers with 8 locations in the Greater Houston area. The company has a history of stepping up and helping local causes in and around the Houston area.

Congenica Partners with Genomenon to Integrate Mastermind into Congenica Clinical Platform

Congenica and Genomenon partnership

Mastermind brings a new dimension to the Congenica platform, aiding variant interpretation by reducing the manual effort required to curate the rapidly growing body of genomic research, improving the likelihood of finding key genetic insights that could be critical for diagnosis.

Genomenon® announced a partnership with Congenica Ltd today that incorporates Mastermind® Genomic Search Engine results into Congenica’s clinical decision support platform for genomic data interpretation. The goal of the partnership is to put the most up-to-date genomic research at the fingertips of geneticists diagnosing genetic diseases.

Congenica® is state-of-the-art software for the analysis and interpretation of complex genomic data, enabling healthcare professionals to increase diagnostic yield and case throughput, maximize their workflow efficiency and improve confidence in every diagnosis. Interpreted genomic data from Congenica supports rapid and accurate diagnoses, helping to provide patients with the treatment they need, faster than ever before.

With this partnership, Mastermind will be available to all Congenica users, including the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) as part of Congenica’s arrangement as the exclusive decision support platform provider for the NHS Genomic Medicine Service. Each Congenica user at the national network of UK laboratories that provide genetic testing for NHS patients will be given access to Mastermind Professional Edition, directly integrated within the Congenica platform.

Congenica users will be able to quickly access the genetic evidence associated with their patients’ variants and, with a single click, gain access to the full list of articles within Mastermind to shorten the search time required to clinically interpret a variant and support its pathogenicity.

A key driver in the decision to incorporate Mastermind is the breadth and depth of its coverage of genetic variants and published literature. Mastermind has indexed nearly 7 million full text articles and 500,000 supplemental data sets and covers over 4.9 million variants found in the medical literature.

“Mastermind brings a new dimension to the Congenica platform, aiding variant interpretation by reducing the manual effort required to curate the rapidly growing body of genomic research, improving the likelihood of finding key genetic insights that could be critical for diagnosis,” said David Atkins, CEO of Congenica. “We believe that our growing number of global users will find a great deal of benefit from having Mastermind available with the Congenica platform.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Congenica to put the most comprehensive and up-to-date genetic research in the hands of geneticists making clinical diagnoses.” said Mike Klein, CEO of Genomenon. “Our relationship extends Mastermind’s global reach, and coupled with Congenica, provides significant value in cutting turnaround time and increasing diagnostic yield for genetic labs.”

About Genomenon

Genomenon connects patient DNA with the billions of dollars spent on research to help doctors diagnose and cure cancer patients and babies with rare diseases.

Our flagship product, the Mastermind Genomic Search Engine is used by hundreds of genetic labs worldwide to accelerate diagnosis, increase diagnostic yield and assure repeatability in reporting genetic testing results.

We license our Mastermind Curated Genomic Datasets to pharmaceutical and bio-pharma companies to inform precision medicine development, deliver genomic biomarkers for clinical trial target selection and support CDx regulatory submissions with empirical evidence.

A World Free of Preventable Disease

https://www.prweb.com/

Our readers are looking for the science behind wellness and inspiration to lead healthy, happy lives, so we are eager to share each month’s Moonshot theme with them. My hope is that we’ll continue to build a community of people committed to personal and global health.

The Global Wellness Institute™ (GWI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower wellness worldwide by educating the public and private sectors about preventative health and wellness, today announced a special collaboration with Hearst’s Prevention magazine for 2020. Every month, Prevention will dedicate a full page to the theme of the GWI’s The Wellness Moonshot Calendar. The calendar will be featured in both print and digital editions of the magazine, inspiring an additional 13 million people to eradicate preventable, chronic diseases and reduce the staggering human and economic costs associated with them.

“Prevention has been a trusted health resource and wellness thought-leader for 70 years, so partnering with the Global Wellness Institute on The Wellness Moonshot was a natural fit,” says Sarah Smith, content director, Prevention. “Our readers are looking for the science behind wellness and inspiration to lead healthy, happy lives, so we are eager to share each month’s Moonshot theme with them. My hope is that we’ll continue to build a community of people committed to personal and global health.”

The Wellness Moonshot Calendar concept was conceived and designed by Jessica Jesse, CEO of BuDhaGirl, and revolves around the cycles of the full moon, the period of the lunar cycle that emits the most vibrant energy, inspiring new ideas and habits. The 2020 calendar takes its cues from nature, and Jesse says, “Preventing chronic disease is something everyone at every level can do. The Moonshot Calendar was designed to help individuals, families, companies and communities champion wellness in a creative, engaging manner. The moon is always with us; it is a great anchor of energy, of time, of myth and of hope.”

As we embrace a new year, January is about “emerge”—what it means to grow as wellness leaders who consciously empower the health and happiness of our families, workplaces and communities, while also cultivating our personal wellbeing. For February, the theme is “include,” highlighting the joy that comes when we embrace wholeness at work and at home, as well as within ourselves. Renee Moorefield, CEO of Wisdom Works, curates each month’s tips and articles.

“The Wellness Moonshot Calendar’s impact is growing exponentially. Last year, our focus was on wellness in the workplace, where we engaged with the leaders of over 350 businesses and organizations reaching over 500,000 individuals to get them to commit to healthier work cultures,” says Susie Ellis, GWI chairman and CEO. “We are thrilled to be extending the reach of The Wellness Moonshot to the readers of Prevention magazine and providing them with a monthly roadmap for meaningful change.”

As an umbrella organization that brings together often siloed forces and sectors all working to build a healthier world, the GWI is committed to bringing the issue of preventable disease to the forefront of its research and education efforts. The Wellness Moonshot: A World Free of Preventable Disease was launched in 2017 at the Global Wellness Summit by Ellis and Dr. Richard H. Carmona, 17th Surgeon General of the United States and current chief of health innovation, Canyon Ranch.

Dr. Mehmet C. Oz, professor of surgery, Columbia University and host of The Dr. Oz Show, commented at the launch: “We have to be brave enough to take on this Moonshot—we really need to accelerate the focus on prevention.”

Organizations and individuals can support The Wellness Moonshot and receive the 2020 calendar by making a donation to the nonprofit GWI, signifying their commitment to creating a culture of wellness within their organization or community.

If you are interested in getting involved to help spread the message to underserved communities, please contact Michelle Gamble michelle.gamble@globalwellnessinstitute.org.
