News Image

Shoreline Biome, a microbiome research company based here that develops tools for characterizing microbiome populations down to the strain level, has announced a distribution partnership with TOMY Digital Biology Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese biotech organization.

TOMY provides high-quality instruments and services to industry segments including biotechnology, biological engineering, medical science, and food development.

The partnership will introduce Shoreline Biome’s products to a wider Asian market and is expected to support the growth of the Japanese microbiome market. The human microbiome market in the Asia Pacific region is expected to reach $207.81 million USD in 2025, an increase from $41.73 million USD in 2017, according to a 2019 report from ResearchAndMarkets.com . The same report estimates the market to grow with a CAGR of 22.8% from 2018—2025.

TOMY has been a distribution partner with Pacific Biosciences (PacBio), a company that provides genomic analysis systems, since 2011. There is valuable synergy between Shoreline Biome products and PacBio’s platform, according to Bill McKenzie, Shoreline Biome’s CEO.

“We’re very excited about this partnership,” said McKenzie. “TOMY is a recognized leader in providing biotechnology products like Shoreline Biome’s to Asian markets, and we couldn’t be more pleased to offer our products to this growing market. Having our products under the same distribution roof as PacBio’s is nothing but advantageous to users of both company’s products in this market.

McKenzie is optimistic about the value of Shoreline Biome’s products to the Asian market.

“Our all-in-one kits and software accelerate breakthroughs in microbiome research,” he said. “Ultimately, this leads to a better understanding of how our microbiomes relate to human health and disease.”

A detailed list of Shoreline Biome’s international distributors and ordering information by country can be accessed at shorelinebiome.com/international-distributors.

“Our patients are asking for a robust ability to find the right provider at a time when it’s convenient for them. We are excited to partner with Odoro, because we think it will allow our patients to easily schedule their care” -Jason Swoboda, TGH

Odoro, a leader in digital patient access solutions, today announced a new partnership with Tampa General Hospital (TGH), a recognized world-class hospital. Lifecycle Biotechnologies Releases 2020 Company Prospectus

2020 Lifecycle Prospectus

This prospectus embodies our passion for continued learning, and we loaded it with valuable information.

Lifecycle Biotechnologies announces the release of its 2020 prospectus. The Lifecycle prospectus features not just part numbers like what can be found in most catalogs, but rather, insightful information into Lifecycle’s business, it’s manufacturing facilities, the industries it supports, and that is all linked to the impact it has on the global life science industry. The goal? To provide an intelligence system – accurate, real-time data, distributed broadly and quickly, and presented in detail so that the reader can see and react to patterns in deciding for themselves what to do. The prospectus is an informational story not just about how Lifecycle makes an impact with each and every product and how it helps its customer to gain efficiencies, current and new alike, but to showcase the scientific advancements each market is achieving.

“We started this approach with our 2019 catalog, a first for our company, but wanted to amplify the usability and value of it as we enter a new decade,” said Aaron Schieving, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Lifecycle Biotechnologies. “This prospectus embodies our passion for continued learning, and we loaded it with valuable information. I challenge you to go through it and not learn something new.”

A prospectus is a brochure or other document describing the major features, attractions, or services of a place, institution, or business to prospective patrons, clients, owners, or members. For those new to Lifecycle, the prospectus welcomes you into its facilities and demonstrates the company’s commitment to truly making a difference. For those long-term partners of the company, the prospectus will allow you to experience the same personalized experience you are accustomed to, as well as allow you to learn about additional ways to expand your relationship and simplify your supply chain while working with the same company you have come to know and trust.

“We are excited to be able to share our prospectus. It is available for download on the homepage of our website (http://www.lifecyclebio.com). Simply scroll down and click the option to download,” said Schieving. “It will be well worth the few second it takes to get your copy. Deerwalk Introduces Reporting to Simplify Stop Loss Analysis

News Image

…we were aware of the need for a better, centralized solution for stop loss reporting. We’ve solved for this by designing a tool that draws on our data expertise to deliver easy-to-use stop loss reporting that is specific to each group’s unique situation and can be easily run and distributed.

Deerwalk, Inc., an innovative population health management, data management, and healthcare analytics software company is proud to introduce new stop loss reporting functionality. This new reporting provides a “one-stop shop” for stop loss reporting and is available with the latest release of Plan Analytics, Deerwalk’s interoperable healthcare reporting and analytics application.

From within Plan Analytics, clients now have access to a data entry portal and two new reports, Specific Stop Loss (i.e., Individual Stop Loss) and Aggregate Stop Loss. The data entry portal allows users to enter a group’s stop loss contract parameters to calculate specific or aggregate stop loss, including custom parameters such as lasered members, run-in and run-out provisions, and uncommon (i.e., non-January) contract renewal months. The reports generate an overall financial picture by combining the input contract parameters with medical/pharmacy claims and eligibility data.

Reporting that integrates the actual paid claims experience and accounts for specific contract variables simplifies analysis, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of how a group is performing in relation to its stop loss policy. Armed with this information, healthcare decision makers can more accurately assess exposure to fluctuating claims costs, easily track where a group is in terms of meeting its stop loss deductible and reimbursement levels, and plan accordingly for budgeting for contractual purposes.

Deerwalk’s Vice President of Product Ed Hausman stated, “From our experience working with a client base that includes over 45 third party administrators, as well as brokers and stop loss entities, we were aware of the need for a better, centralized solution for stop loss reporting. We’ve solved for this by designing a tool that draws on our data expertise to deliver easy-to-use stop loss reporting that is specific to each group’s unique situation and can be easily run and distributed.”

Not only does Deerwalk’s stop loss reporting provide a clearer, more detailed overall picture, but having all this data in one place eliminates the need to collect information from disparate sources (such as carriers, claims databases, and numerous reporting tools) that must then be compiled and reconciled with the stop loss contract. Deerwalk’s dynamic reporting replaces this manual work, essentially automating this time-consuming process by bringing together all of the critical pieces of information into one place to quickly generate a report that can be shared with stakeholders.

To see a live demo of this new functionality, visit info.deerwalk.com/demorequest or reach out to Tim Huke, Chief Growth Officer at Deerwalk, at (949) 233-4908 or thuke@deerwalk.com.
