Oral Surgeons at Midwest Oral Surgery & Dental Implants Provide Lifelong Tooth Replacement in Omaha, NE with Dental Implants

Drs. John Wewel, Jerome Wees, and Benjamin Anderson, Oral Surgeons in Omaha, NE

Oral Surgeons, Drs. John Wewel, Jerome Wees, and Benjamin Anderson, Offer Permanent Dental Implants in Omaha, NE

The dental implant is the closest thing to a natural-born tooth. The benefit of a dental implant is that it is treated like a real tooth.

Midwest Oral Surgery & Dental Implants provides a long-term and highly beneficial tooth replacement solution to Omaha, NE, with permanent dental implants. Dental implants mimic the appearance and function of natural teeth, restoring patients oral and overall health to an ideal state. Drs. Jerome Wees, John Wewel and Benjamin Anderson, respected oral surgeons, combine advanced technology and their years of experience when replacing missing teeth with dental implants in Omaha, NE.

Since implants are placed within the jawbone, they offer the same strength as natural teeth, allowing patients to bite and chew like normal. “The dental implant is the closest thing to a natural born tooth. The benefit of a dental implant is that it is treated like a real tooth,” says Dr. Wewel. “A dental implant will restore you to full form and function and you can eat whatever you ate with natural teeth. In fact, a dental implant may be stronger than some of your natural teeth.”

Dental implants are composed of three separate and biocompatible parts; a titanium post inserted into the jawbone to act as a tooth root, a lifelike dental crown and an abutment to connect the two. A patient’s general dentist will provide them with a dental crown to cover the implant post placed by the oral surgeons. This crown is designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding teeth for a natural smile. With proper oral care, dental implants can be a lifelong tooth replacement solution for patients.

Midwest Oral Surgery & Dental Implants offers cutting-edge dental implants surgery. With over three decades of medical education and surgical experience, this team of oral surgeons can successfully provide new teeth to patients who are missing any number of teeth. When performed by Drs. Wees, Wewel or Anderson, dental implants have a 98 percent success rate thanks to the use of advanced technology, like digital cone beam scanners and handheld intraoral scanners. The practice also offers Zirconia implants for those seeking the strongest and most natural looking implants. Having dental implants placed by the oral surgeons at Midwest Oral Surgery & Dental Implants offers a multitude of advantages, including:

  • State-of-the-art technology
  • IV sedation and general anesthesia options
  • High moral and ethical care
  • Experience from thousands of successful cases

Those seeking a lifelong tooth replacement solution in Omaha, NE are invited to contact Midwest Oral Surgery & Dental Implants for a dental implant consultation. To schedule an appointment, visit http://www.midwestoms.com or call 402-397-7777.

AI for Medical Affairs Webinar and Product Preview Examines the Transformative Power of Medical Insights for Life Sciences

Sorcero's Medical Insights Solution - Mobile Interface

Sorcero’s Medical Insights Solution – Mobile Interface

Medical organizations indicated that the majority (~70-75%) of Medical teams report that they feel their medical insights processes are inadequately defined, understood, or analyzed and are captured inconsistently.

Sorcero, a fast-growing enterprise AI company, has announced a new, complimentary webinar entitled “Transforming Medical Insights into Strategy, Engagement, and Value.” This webinar was developed specifically for Medical Affairs teams who recognize the importance of, and the barriers to, deriving quantifiable value from medical insights.

During the live webinar, speakers Tim Mikhelashvili, a veteran MSL mentor, trainer and consultant, and Sean Smith, head of marketing at Sorcero will explore 1) the current challenges of capturing, communicating, and analyzing medical insights and 2) how new technologies can significantly increase the quantity, quality, and actionability of medical insights.

Ultimately, the goal of this webinar is to demonstrate how more efficient medical insight processes give MSLs the resources, incentives, and time to do what they do best—build relationships with scientific experts that advance medicine. Furthermore, the webinar will show how these insights can identify unmet market needs faster and, also, uncover evidence and education gaps, including issues related to real-world evidence, price, market access, safety, and reimbursement—issues that directly impact medical and business strategies.

Register online for the webinar. [Note: this webinar will be recorded. The recording and slides will be made available to all registrants].

“Ask about Field Medical insights when talking to a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), the head of a therapeutic area, a key opinion leader—anyone involved in Medical Affairs—and they’ll tell you how strategically important those insights are,” said Dipanwita Das, Founder and CEO of Sorcero. “At the same time, they’ll probably tell you how hard it is to sift through and make sense of the constant stream of observations and insights—not to mention translating reams of data into actionable intelligence.”

In fact, a new survey from the MSL Society of hundreds of Medical organizations indicated that the majority (~70-75%) of Medical teams report that they feel their medical insights processes are inadequately defined, understood, or analyzed and are captured inconsistently.

Indeed, McKinsey underscores the importance of medical insights for the digital engagement strategy. According to McKinsey, “companies should seek to develop clear processes that enable MA teams to maximize the benefits of their privileged position vis-à-vis physicians by uncovering and feeding back insights that shape commercial strategy to ensure it meets the needs of customers.”

Tim Mikhelashvili agrees. “In order to achieve this level of strategic insight,” he said, “Medical Affairs, and indeed Medical Science Liaisons, will need to entirely rethink, what insights are, and how they go about capturing them. And Medical Affairs leadership in 2020 will need to critically think about how to transform the medical insights process from a trending but nebulous administrative task into a primary capability and key performance indicator (KPI) that will 1) stimulate MSLs to engage their experts and to uncover and capture more insights in real-time, with context and without bias, 2) to communicate insights more frequently with each other and with their leadership, and 3) to collaborate with each other on their analysis to guide Medical strategy”.

Accordingly, during the first part of the webinar, Mikhelashvili will share his strategies for directly transforming insights into Medical Affairs value and growth. Topics will include the strategic importance of insights as a KPI; what insights and observations are and why they both matter; the different types of insights and how to classify them; how to engage in more meaningful interactions that generate strategic insights or observations; and why insights are the path to demonstrating value.

“Instead of simply tallying the number of MSL interactions or even survey responses,” said Mikhelashvili, “teams should focus on finding new ways to create ‘genuine but strategic dialogue’ between Field Medical and key opinion leaders (KOLs).” He further explained that “it is critical to quickly and easily capture the flow and the real-world context or motivating factors driving beliefs or behaviors during these discussions exactly as they unfold, rather than relying solely on pre-structuring discussions as a script of survey questions and other biased observations.” Only then, he said, “will we truly understand our customers.”

“To achieve this vision, Medical Affairs teams will also need to rethink their technology,” said Sean Smith, Chief Marketing Officer at Sorcero. “This will require new solutions that are designed to extract meaning out of the stream of day-to-day communications, foster the ability to constantly analyze vast amounts of largely text-based data, provide deeper contextual understanding, and even make recommendations. “To put it bluntly,” said Smith, “the current insights processes and technologies aren’t up to the task.”

During the second part of the webinar, Smith will lay out the underlying challenges and present Sorcero’s new medical insights solution. “My goal,” he said, “is not to bore the audience with a lot of technical terms but, rather, to show them how some of the same new technologies they use in their daily lives allow MSLs to capture meaningful interactions, interactions that can be evaluated by peers and analyzed in the context of the business.

The webinar will conclude with a demonstration of Sorcero’s new lightweight social interface that’s as easy to use as Facebook. It combines powerful new technologies in an end-to-end, NLP-based solution for capturing, extracting, and analyzing text and multimedia insights, allowing teams to identify and act upon critical insights immediately. Learn more and register online or to request a demo of Sorcero’s medical insights solution, please contact sean (at) sorcero (dot) com.

Republic Ranches Lists 40,000+ acre Monarch Ranch in West Texas

“Monarch Ranch is an outdoorsman’s dream,” Republic Ranches partner Jeff Boswell said.

Republic Ranches, an elite farm, ranch and rural properties brokerage firm serving Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas, is offering the Monarch Ranch, a sprawling West Texas ranch of 40,138 acres in Val Verde County. Home to Texas’ largest volume cave, with over five miles of Devils River flowing throughout and the remains of the historic Fort Hudson, the ranch is prime property for adventure, hunting and fishing.

Fern Cave, located on the western portion of Monarch Ranch, is home to one of the world’s largest remaining bat populations. Also known as Bat Cave, it is the nesting spot for the Mexican free-tailed bat, the dominant species in Fern Cave. The majority of Texas free-tailed bats migrate south into Mexico for winter, though extra-cool areas near entrances are used in winter by Western big-eared bats and Eastern pipistrelles and may be used by other species such as Peter’s ghost-faced bat.

The spring fed Devils River is considered some of the cleanest water in Texas. Indigenous people, Spanish explorers, ranchers, military outposts, Texas Rangers and outlaws have called this basin home for thousands of years. Monarch Ranch is located 30 miles upstream from Lake Amistad and with pristine waters running the Devils River, outdoorsmen find the ranch ideal for hunting and fishing.

“Monarch Ranch is an outdoorsman’s dream. Fantastic hunting opportunities for a huge variety of game exist during the winter, as multiple ecosystems converge on the ranch,” Republic Ranches Partner Jeff Boswell said. “You can hunt bobwhite quail behind dogs in the upper grasslands, hunt mallards in the river bottom, white-tailed deer in the canyons and chase aoudad sheep through the mountains. I do not know of many places where that is even remotely possible.

“Floating along the Devils River with crystal clear water and the feeling you are alone on the planet is almost magical; hat such a river can exist in the Chihuahuan Desert in West Texas is almost inconceivable and yet there you are” Boswell added. “The fishing on the ranch is truly unique with an exceptional small mouth bass population that thrives in the river because it is spring fed and stays cool all summer. This ranch can and should be used year-round with both excellent hunting and fishing available across all seasons.”

Monarch Ranch is full of historical adventure dating back to John Coffee Hays, the first American to visit Val Verde County in 1848 to establish a road from San Antonio to El Paso. Also known as Camp Hudson, a fort named for Lieutenant Walter W. Hudson, who died in action in April 1850 at the hands of Native Americans. A post office was built on Fort Hudson the same year it was established in 1857. Although troops were pulled from the post when the Civil War began, the post office continued to operate, serving military troops and area settlers until 1866. Soldiers occupied the post again in 1867 and were tasked with protecting travelers and newly arrived settlers. By January 1877, the threat of attacks by Native Americans was over and the post was abandoned. The remains of Fort Hudson are still found on the ranch today, in addition to a small gravesite. The fort was recognized with a centennial marker by the Texas Historical Commission in 1936.

Access to the property is convenient, with an airport on the west side of the ranch, including a paved 6,000 foot runway, large hangar and fuel tanks. Access across the ranch is highly improved with the addition of over 13 miles of paved roads, and a very rare private bridge over the Devils River.

About Republic Ranches

Republic Ranches was founded in 2011 as an elite farm, ranch and rural properties brokerage firm serving Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas through their offices in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Austin, and Hondo (Texas); Albuquerque (New Mexico), Pagosa Springs and Telluride (Colorado). With over $1 billion in real estate sales, Republic Ranches works to successfully manage the divestiture of their clients rural land assets and identify the right property for its buyers. With listings ranging from raw land to farmland and working cattle ranches with the basic amenities, or the most elegant vacation homes with pools, golf courses, and runways and hangars for private planes, Republic Ranches has professional representation of some of the finest ranches in North America. Gateway Genomics Attends Maternity & Midwifery Festival in London to Expand Market for SneakPeek Clinical Early Gender DNA Test in the UK

Gateway Genomics attends the London 2020 Maternity & Midwifery Festival

Attending the MMF conference is a foray into a new set of professionals that we believe can be greatly benefited with access to this product for their patients.

Gateway Genomics, leading developer of direct-to-consumer genetic tests that give families insight into their future children, attended the 2020 session of the London Maternity & Midwifery Festival in January to share the benefits SneakPeek Clinical can bring to the patients of midwifery professionals.

SneakPeek Clinical is a version of the SneakPeek Early DNA Gender Test that allows pregnant women to visit participating locations to have blood drawn by a phlebotomist. The sample is then sent to SneakPeek Labs for DNA analysis. Gender results are delivered straight to mom through email as early as 1-2 days after having her blood drawn.

“We’ve been delighted by the reception SneakPeek Clinical has received in the UK,” says Gateway Genomics CEO, Chris Jacob. “Despite only launching last October, we’ve seen such immense interest that the number of participating locations in the country are now in the double digits. Attending the MMF conference in London is a foray into a new set of professionals that we believe can be greatly benefited with access to this product for their patients.”

Midwifery is extremely prevalent in the UK. Nearly all planned births, from home deliveries to complex C-sections have midwives in attendance. The National Health Service (NHS) alone employs over 21,000 midwives. “We saw overwhelming interest in the SneakPeek Clinical product at the MMF conference,” continues Mr. Jacob. “About 10% of the total conference attendees stopped by to discuss becoming an authorized distributor, and we’ve already begun talks with a number of the practitioners. We see this segment growing strongly in the next couple of years.”

Like other NIPTs, SneakPeek uses cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) from a maternal blood sample for analysis. Unlike other NIPTs which screen for fetal chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome and trisomy 18, SneakPeek only looks for the presence or absence of male chromosomes, enabling high sensitivity and accuracy earlier. This enables SneakPeek to be taken at 8 weeks into pregnancy rather than waiting until 10 to 12 weeks of gestational age. For those who would like to know gender earlier than the 20-week anatomy scan or want a more affordable path than the typical NIPT, SneakPeek Clinical is a self-pay solution that returns fetal sex at 8 weeks into pregnancy for as little as £129.

The London Maternity & Midwifery Festival draws over 1,700 professionals annually for revalidation training, expert speakers, and engaging seminars. It is the UK and Ireland’s largest regional gathering of midwifery practitioners and provides a vibrant forum for exchanging and sharing the industry’s best practices and newest technologies.

About Gateway Genomics

Gateway Genomics is a personal genomics company with the mission to develop leading-edge genetic tests that give families a new level of understanding about their future children. Since inception, more than 160,000 SneakPeek Early Gender DNA tests have been provided to help new parents bond with their babies, make plans, and connect with friends and family around them. Gateway Genomics is located in La Jolla, CA.

Aurora invests growth capital in Harmony Pay for advancements in payments software technology in the health & beauty industry

Aurora, a leading full-service provider (FSP) in the payments industry, has finalized a growth capital transaction to Harmony Pay. The investment for Harmony Pay will advance the payments industry with enhancements to software solutions.

Aurora’s investment and partnership with Harmony Pay, a Florida-based payment processing company, will lead to the completion of development and integration of payments software for the health and beauty industry. The initial footprint of the technology creates efficiencies for salon business owners and offers a better customer experience through a mobile app and streamlined in-store payment solutions.

Founder of Harmony Pay, Dat Nguyen started his career in the salon industry back in the late 90’s. He grew curious about the payments industry in 2004 by recognizing the need for more than the standalone terminal for salon business owners.

“I knew I had a unique opportunity to develop technology to change the way salons do business,” said Dat Nguyen, CEO & Founder of Harmony Pay. “It was an easy choice turning to a trusted partner, Aurora, for the investment and support to build a better payments software for salon owners and businesses.”

Aurora’s investment in Harmony Pay and the development of the payments software will not only help the payments industry with the availability of integrated, vertical-focused software, but it also provides merchants the ability to make technological advancements in their business.

“What we run into a lot with software companies is they are phenomenal technologists. They create great point of sales systems or vertical software, gateways, etc., The challenge we generally see is they don’t have great distribution in many cases,” stated Brian Goudie, CEO of Aurora. “We have distribution and did not have the vertical salon software product. Meeting an entrepreneur like Dat created an opportunity to put those two together.”
