Haute Beauty Welcomes Renowned Plastic Surgeon Dr. Christine Bishara To The Haute Beauty Network

News Image

“A healthy body involves identifying multiple factors and creating the specific formula your body needs to achieve success.”

Haute Beauty welcomes Dr. Christine Bishara to the Haute Beauty Network.

Dr. Bishara is Board certified in Internal Medicine by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons and is certified in Integrative Medical Weight Loss by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Christine Bishara is the founder of From Within Medical, a medical wellness practice that places emphasis on the mind-body and gut-brain axis to prevent and manage disease.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, time and time again, Dr. Bishara has discovered that the connection between these systems plays a significant role in disease prevention and management, but it has not been adequately addressed.

Her therapy involves a multidimensional and customized approach based on many factors and focuses on boosting the body’s immune system. This includes, but is not limited to assessment of individual gut health, determination of neurotransmitter deficiencies and personalized anti-oxidant level screening.

She also understands the impact that daily demands and stress place on our bodies. This, compounded by nutritional depletion affects both our gut health and our mental health, making it hard to feel and look our best.

Dr. Bishara’s experience as a physician and her own personal journey has taught her that success in weight loss is not limited to just dietary and nutritional needs. It involves identifying multiple factors and creating the specific formula your body needs to achieve success.

Visit Dr. Christine Bishara’s website at Info@fromwithinmedical.com, or Follow Dr. Bishara on Instagram and Facebook!

Dr. Bishara also believes beauty complements body and brain. Her individualized treatments incorporate state of the art non-invasive aesthetic procedures.

“Brain”

The Center Foundation Launches “Brain Trust” Home Study CME/CEU Course

Our mission at The Center Foundation is to promote the health and safety of our youth by increasing awareness and education about concussion prevention and management, and this program allows us to do just that.

The Center Foundation, a Central Oregon nonprofit providing sports medicine services to high school students, recently announced the launch of a new home study course for medical professionals interested in earning continuing education credit while learning about the latest research and tools in concussion management. Previously available only as an in-person conference, the content included in the home study course comes from Brain Trust 2020, The Center Foundation’s highly successful webinar event hosted in early May.

“By offering our professional education conference as an online home study course, we are able to reach a wider audience of medical professionals and therefore advance national education on concussion management,” said Sonja Donohue, Executive Director of The Center Foundation. “Our mission at The Center Foundation is to promote the health and safety of our youth by increasing awareness and education about concussion prevention and management, and this program allows us to do just that.”

The Brain Trust Home Study Course allows medical professionals to earn continuing education credits through a flexible, study-at-your-own-pace program with different packages and pricing options. Physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists, athletic trainers and other medical professionals can expect to learn about the latest research in diagnosing youth sport concussion, managing persistent post concussive symptoms, the role of neurological testing in concussions and best practices surrounding return-to-play and return-to-learn decisions. The course includes nine lectures from top medical experts specializing in different areas of concussion management. Those enrolled in the home study course will have lifetime access to the program, as well as access to live technical support.

Every three years, in collaboration with community partners, The Center Foundation organizes an educational symposium dedicated to updating the medical community’s collective knowledge regarding the recognition, diagnosis, management and prevention of concussions. This year’s conference, Brain Trust 2020, took place as a virtual webinar in May and focused on best practices in mild traumatic brain injury and concussion management for all ages. The Center Foundation plans to grow its home study program substantially moving forward and will offer additional online courses on a variety of topics.

Faith-based Wellness Program, Think Fit Method, Donates to PrayFit to Help Solve the Mobility Crisis and to Fund Special Needs Ministry

“Honoring God with our bodies isn’t measured by our waist, but by our reach.” – Jimmy Peña

According to the World Health Organization, 70 million people live without the gift of mobility, having no way of getting from one room to the next. Of those 70 million, only 5-15 percent of them have access to the most basic of resources to help them make their way to the bathroom, from their home to school or to a friend’s house.

Think Fit Method, a women’s faith-based wellness program, officially announced that a portion of every sale of their program will go to PrayFit, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the fitness industry to the doorstep of disability. The monthly contribution to PrayFit will help those with limited to no mobility by giving them access to a wheelchair.

Think Fit Method is a women’s faith-based lifestyle program focusing on whole body wellness for your mind, body and spirit. The program teaches women about a balanced approach to macronutrient cycling and tracking, intuitive fasting and strategic exercise while conquering negative mindset, emotional eating and self-sabotage on the journey to food freedom.

“We are honored to partner with PrayFit Ministries in effort to help bridge the gap between fitness and disability,” said Jenny Mire, founder of Think Fit Method. “As a brand partner, we fully support the efforts in ministering to those in need and we will do everything in our power to help spread the cause. There is no better way to serve God than by serving His people and I cannot wait to see how He provides for so many in need.”

PrayFit’s founder, Jimmy Peña, an exercise physiologist and best-selling author, has a mission to fund disability ministries in local communities and help purchase wheelchairs for those around the world who live without the gift of mobility.

“Mobility changes everything,” Peña said. “As we look ahead to the next two years, our hope is to impact both local communities and those in the farthest corners of the world. We can see how God is providing many paths to reach people with disabilities and we are excited to help the fitness industry pursue those paths. Our goal in the near future is to reach 5,000 children and families living with disabilities in the US and provide 2,000 wheelchairs to people desperate for mobility around the world.”

“When I saw those numbers and heard the heart behind PrayFit, I knew I needed to do something,” Mire said. “We look forward to supporting the organization for many years to come and getting our program members involved as well.”

Peña holds firm to the truth of “honoring God with our bodies isn’t measured by our waist, but by our reach.” This is exactly what the Think Fit Method hopes to accomplish by coming alongside them.

Exercise in Your Pool with the PoolFit App

PoolFit App in Use

Exercise in Your Backyard Pool Using PoolFit

Water exercise has changed dramatically over the years, thanks in part to active Baby Boomers searching out lower-impact exercise options.

PoolFit founder, Mark Grevelding, has trained water exercise instructors for the past 18 years and has compiled a team of aquatic fitness experts to lead the PoolFit workouts. The PoolFit App features a wide variety of water workouts, including high intensity interval training (HIIT), Tabata, aerobics, deep water, muscle conditioning, yoga, arthritis, water walking and more. Two new workouts are uploaded to the app each month.

Recently launched in the App Store, PoolFit is the only app dedicated to full-length water exercise workouts. PoolFit offers a trial month and then a monthly subscription fee ($15.99) that allows users to download workouts and take their device poolside and follow along. The app also offers Airplay for those lucky enough to have a patio or lanai that allows for an Apple TV.

“Water exercise has changed dramatically over the years, thanks in part to active Baby Boomers searching out lower-impact exercise options. This created a demand for more challenging and athletic water fitness classes. The upward forces of buoyancy allow people to exercise more vigorously in water without pain and discomfort, and the viscosity or thickness of water means that every movement is resisted, improving muscular endurance and joint integrity,” said Grevelding. Read more: 10 Benefits of Exercising in Water.

The PoolFit App is currently available for download on the Apple App Store.

About PoolFit

The PoolFit website was launched in January 2019 after the success of Fitmotivation.com, a video streaming website intended for water exercise instructors. Fitness consumers began discovering these instructor videos, creating a need for a separate site. It became quickly apparent that an app was needed so that PoolFit users could exercise at the pool without Wi-Fi. The PoolFit app is a “game-changer” as it provides more options for people to exercise in the water.

About Mark Grevelding

Mark is celebrating 25 years in the fitness industry. In addition to founding both Fitmotivation and PoolFit, he has been an aquatic training specialist with the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) for the past 15 years, traveling globally to educate aquatic fitness professionals. He currently lives in Sarasota, FL and teaches classes at the local YMCA.

MyVictory Launches On-Demand Fitness App for Cancer Patients Built by BeCurious Studio

BeCurious Studio LLC was named as a Best-In-Class provider by leading industry analysts Top App Developers & DesignRush following the launch a recent project. BeCurious Studio, the rule breaking web/app development hub, completed work on the first comprehensive exercise/community platform for cancer survivors.

Commissioned by MyVictory Inc, the platform delivers a seamless, individualized healthcare experience encompassing exercise planning, live video instruction, social community, personal goal targeting, and one-on-one consultations.

Working closely with MyVictory’s health and marketing specialists, the BeCurious team applied their rigorously tested and proven process of Discovery, Design, and Development & Testing to methodically identify and build each of the many interlocking application components. MyVictory’s input and review was incorporated at every step of the process in accordance with the BeCurious method of transparent development.

“This is exactly the type of project we love,” said BeCurious founder Stanley Vaganov. “It was complex from a design/engineering/behavioral point of view, it has global appeal, and most importantly it is a great and important cause.”

One of the biggest development challenges in building the application was to meet the wide and varying exercise needs of the cancer survivor community. Additionally, the platform needed to provide flexibility and customization for both users and instructors.

During discovery, the project team created a detailed matrix of user profiles and a corresponding table of necessary key ingredients including live streaming and recorded instruction, user and administration dashboards, a cancer resource center, and a goal tracker. The discovery also revealed the strong need for the platform to be:

  • Community oriented
  • Mobile & tablet friendly
  • HIPPA & privacy compliant
  • Capable of multi-memberships
  • Social interaction enabled

BeCurious Studio LLC is a full service, award-winning design and development studio. The company has extensive experience in health, legal, education, fashion, and e-commerce industries. Established in New York City, the company was an early adopter of a distributed workforce model ensuring its uninterrupted ability to serve clients during the current COVID-19 crisis. Agency specializes in web and mobile design and development and have won numerous awards and recognitions for their work. The key difference is their extensive discovery process that focuses on human centered approach in identifying solutions and solving problems.
