Digital.com, a leading independent review website for small business online tools, products, and services, has announced the best banks for small businesses in 2020. The top financial institutions were evaluated based on key service offerings and customer feedback.

Each bank was required to maintain fee transparency by informing customers about costs associated with transactions such as withdrawals, cash deposits fees, and overdrawn accounts. 3DGS Technology is Used by Nokia to Demonstrate World’s First D-Band Radio on-Glass Transceiver Module

[ad_1]

3D Glass Solutions, Inc. (3DGS), a leading innovator of glass-based, three-dimensional passive RF devices, has collaborated with Nokia, a global leader in 5G solutions, to deliver a breakthrough in D-band signal transport.

D-band signal transport requires highly integrated and cost-effective mm-wave modules with high spectral-efficiency. 3DGS worked with Nokia to develop a demonstrator for ultra-high performance >30Gbps speed Wireless backhaul systems.

“This solution allows designers in D Band TX/RX modules the lowest loss and lowest cost point for TX/RX modules, as demonstrated by this Radio-on-Glass architecture for Nokia operating up to 160GHz with less than 1dB of loss from the chip to the antenna output/input ports,” said 3DGS CTO, Jeb Flemming.

“One of the reasons we’ve been able to achieve such extraordinary performance numbers using our RFIC on glass is because we’ve been working closely with the engineers at 3DGS,” said Shahriar Shahramian, Director of Sensing and Communication ASICs Research at Nokia Bell Labs. “Its unique etching process allows us to build things on glass that simply aren’t possible using any other process. At the same time, 3DGS’ willingness to collaborate and explore unexplored areas and applications has allowed us to build something incredible.”

This is the next generation of ultra-high-performance Radio-on-Glass modules operating at these frequencies,” said Jeb Flemming. “Our demand for data continues to grow, and we are pleased to work with Nokia to deliver record-breaking solutions that can keep up with that demand.”

Heilind Electronics Introduces TE Connectivity’s Power Versa-Lock 5.0 Rectangular Power Connectors

[ad_1]

TE Power Versa-Lock connectors

Heilind is now offering TE’s Power Versa-Lock connector series.

Heilind Electronics, a leading global distributor of electronic components and authorized distributor for TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in connectivity and sensors, introduces Power Versa-Lock 5.0 rectangular power connectors for wire-to-wire applications. These connectors provide a flexible power solution supporting a current rating of up to 15 A.

The connector series provides an optional IP67-rated perimeter interface and gang seals for waterproofing capabilities. In addition, the series offers a tab-and-receptacle contact design with four points of contact for greater reliability.

The Power Versa-Lock series is designed with a mounting clip on the cap housing to assist in reducing connector movement in high vibration applications like washing machines. This feature replaces the need for manually installing wire ties to secure mounting clips, helping to reduce the manual labor required in the assembly process.

Optional Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) and back cover accessories are also available for higher reliability. TPAs are offered for 2 x 3 unsealed applications while back covers are available for 1 x 1, 1 x 2 and 1 x 3 sealed applications. In addition, the twist lock version features a cap with a unique and patented 18 degree angle; this ensures additional safety by directing moisture away from the mated terminal area.

These robust connectors are ideal for sealed and unsealed applications in industrial and harsh environments, as well as in white goods.

Truck Drivers and Owner Operators Are Finding Quality Of Life Value With EpicVue In-Cab Satellite TV

[ad_1]

EpicVue for owner-operators and drivers is being offered through the end of the year with a $200 promotional savings

There’s always downtime when you’re an owner-operator who’s on the road for a few weeks at a time. EpicVue makes my truck feel like an apartment on wheels, and it’s terrific to be able to watch the same thing I would at home with my family.

EpicVue, providers of premium in-cab satellite TV packaged exclusively for the trucking industry, today announced growing interest among owner-operators seeking to improve their quality of life on the road during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company also announced promotional savings for independent drivers through the end of 2020.

“I’m on the road for two weeks at a time so with EpicVue I can record while I’m sleeping what I want to watch later,” said Brian O’Neil, an owner-operator based in Newton, NC. “I wanted EpicVue for a long time before it was available for owner-operators and now I couldn’t live without it.”

“There’s always downtime when you’re an owner-operator who’s on the road for a few weeks at a time,” said Seth Headley, an owner-operator from Charlotte, NC. “EpicVue makes my truck feel like an apartment on wheels, and it’s terrific to be able to watch the same thing I would at home with my family.”

“When I was an owner-operator I couldn’t wait for EpicVue to become available and once I expanded my operation to three trucks I bought in-cab satellite TV for all of our vehicles without hesitation,” said Scott Miller at SM Miller Enterprises in Dallas, a premier linehaul contracted services provider. “It makes life on the road much easier for our drivers and it’s a great recruiting tool. EpicVue provides a service that is definitely needed.”

EpicVue for owner-operators and drivers is being offered through the end of the year with a $200 promotional savings. The in-cab satellite TV systems are available without requiring a contract, and without activation or cancellation fees. Drivers can purchase or finance hardware and installation costs for stationary or InMotion systems, with or without a DVR. The monthly DIRECTV subscription—with more than 100 channels of programming, including SHOWTIME and the NFL Sunday Ticket— can be paused and reactivated for any reason.

“Drivers are saying there’s no better time to be an owner-operator than now if you know how to play your cards,” said Kyle Hales, vice president of sales for EpicVue. “However, increased isolation due to the pandemic and a lack of entertainment and news options when they’re not working has made it tougher, so we’ve seen growing interest in satellite TV by drivers and an increase in viewing time among owner-operators with EpicVue systems. As demand for owner-operator services rises, we’re offering them a no contract premium in-cab entertainment option at a savings so they can enjoy the comforts of home on the road.”

Independent Research Firm calls Prescriptive Low-Code the “fastest way to acquire software solutions”

[ad_1]

Ultimus

Ultimus embraced the prescriptive low-code philosophy for process-automation apps before the approach had a name.

Ultimus announced today that Forrester Research, in their recent report Prescriptive Low-Code: The New Quest To Marry the Best of Packaged And Custom Apps, outlined the next advance in low-code software development – Prescriptive Low-Code Platforms – and described how “Ultimus embraced the prescriptive low-code philosophy for process-automation apps before the approach had a name”.

According to Forrester, this new type of development platform “seeks to combine the best of packaged applications – pre-built and pre-architected solutions to specific business problems – with the best of development platforms – tools to create solutions that reflect what makes an enterprise unique”. Forrester calls this new concept’s advantages – speed of delivery, application integrity, performance, and flexibility – “irresistible” and forecasts it to catch on in some form.

Leigh Michl, Ultimus Chairman & CEO, stated “We are pleased that Forrester recognizes the value of this approach to software development, one that we’ve long been committed to. Ultimus is the only established player in the category and we’ve proven to our global customer base that it’s the way to deliver complex, highly tailored apps faster, with higher quality, and, of course, cheaper. Our innovation is the application of modern domain-engineering principles to “industrialize” the production of software. It’s not only faster and cheaper, it ensures that business processes are digitized in a way that keeps them aligned with the goals of digital transformation.”
