News Image

“Drivers can save time and money if they choose to obtain car insurance quotes from various internet sources”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Cheapquotesautoinsurance.com has launched a new blog post that presents the best places to obtain free car insurance quotes.

For more info and free quotes, visit https://cheapquotesautoinsurance.com/best-places-to-get-free-car-insurance-quotes/

Online insurance quotes helped many drivers to make a wise decision when choosing a car insurance policy. Drivers are not required to go to the well-known insurance companies and accept any offer that is thrown at them. Comparing online quotes can help drivers discover other insurers that offer similar or even better insurance deals.

The main sources from the internet that can help drivers obtain car quotes are the following:

  •     Insurance companies’ websites. Many insurance companies’ websites provide quotation services. Drivers that go directly to an insurance company website to compare quotes, should know that there are several disadvantages. One of them is that the insurance carrier site will provide insurance estimates only from that insurer. Drivers will also waste time to obtain multiple quotes from multiple insurers.
  •     Brokerage websites. These are specialized websites that work together with car insurance companies. Brokerage websites offer numerous advantages to their customers. Drivers will obtain multiple insurance quotes from multiple insurers by completing just one online form. Small insurers that can offer better insurance deals are easier to find on brokerage websites.
  •     Local insurance department. Consulting the local insurance department site has several advantages. Policyholders can find out who are the top insurers and check the complaints ratio of each insurance company.

For additional info, money-saving tips and free car insurance quotes, visit https://cheapquotesautoinsurance.com/

DynamiCare Health Awarded $1 Million by Ohio for Combating Opioid Epidemic with Tech

News Image

“We thank the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge for recognizing the important work we’ve done with BrightView to support patients through their recovery.” — Eric Gastfriend, CEO and co-founder of DynamiCare Health

DynamiCare Health, a Massachusetts-based addiction recovery technology company, was awarded $1 million today by the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge for the success of its innovative digital platform in supporting those with substance use disorder. DynamiCare won the competition’s top prize by demonstrating substantial positive outcomes for patients who used its technology—which automates an evidence-based methodology called contingency management that has been proven to be effective in reducing substance use.

For the challenge, DynamiCare partnered with BrightView, the largest addiction treatment system in Ohio, to integrate its digital platform into a clinical outpatient care center in Cincinnati. After just four months, those who used DynamiCare were nearly twice as likely to test negative for illicit drug use compared to those in standard treatment. Patients who used the platform also had higher appointment attendance, reported high satisfaction with how the platform supported them through their treatment, and demonstrated high engagement as measured by the time they spent interacting with the app.

“Ohio is one of the states hit hardest by the opioid epidemic, and we applaud its commitment to addressing the issue head on,” said Eric Gastfriend, CEO and co-founder of DynamiCare Health. “We thank the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge for recognizing the important work we’ve done with BrightView to support patients through their recovery. Our pilot program is only the beginning—we’re looking forward to bringing our solution to more people across the state and the country in the near future.”

Launched in October of 2017, the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge was a three-phase, prize-based competition that leveraged $8 million to advance new technology-based solutions to help combat the opioid epidemic. DynamiCare used the $200,000 award given to the company in the second phase of the challenge to partner with BrightView to complete four major initiatives—including making cognitive-behavioral therapy content accessible through the platform, integrating contingency management into routine care, improving and measuring outcomes, and improving its provider dashboard and analytics.

“Partnering with DynamiCare has provided our patients with an invaluable tool that helps them achieve success in their addiction recovery, and we couldn’t be happier with the results,” said Shawn Ryan, MD, president and chief medical officer at BrightView. “We look forward to continuing our work with the DynamiCare team to improve patient outcomes at our treatment centers throughout the state.”

DynamiCare has already launched a second program at a BrightView clinic in Toledo and plans to use this latest funding to drive provider adoption of the platform across the country, secure contracts with public and private payers to help ensure more Americans have access to their recovery tool, and continue improving its platform and coaching program.

DynamiCare Health

DynamiCare Health is a technology platform for addressing substance use and rewarding healthy behavior. The platform automates Contingency Management, an evidence-based methodology that has been demonstrated to be effective in over 100 randomized controlled trials. Through encouragement and accountability, DynamiCare members achieve healthy goals with drugs, opioids, alcohol and tobacco. DynamiCare Health was founded in 2016 by Eric Gastfriend, Harvard MBA tech executive, and his father, David R. Gastfriend, MD, an international expert in addiction psychiatry. VP of Engagement Makes People Better

https://www.prweb.com/

April Doremus

April’s growth is remarkable, and a testament to her hard work and learning agility. She embodies Villa’s core value of ‘making people better’ and is an example of that in her approach to developing her own skills and abilities.” Dave Devereaux, Chief Operating Officer

Villa Healthcare, a leader in skilled nursing, proudly shares that April Doremus, Vice President of Engagement, has been selected as North Shore’s Women in Business: Young Professional winner for 2019. North Shore’s Women in Business is a peer-nominated honor, decided by a professional review committee from 22nd Century Media. April will be honored at award luncheon at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe, IL.

April joined Villa in February 2016 to create and launch a Service Excellence Program. Two years later, after demonstrating her skills and ability, she was promoted to VP of Engagement to spearhead innovative programs to evolve the organization’s employee-centric work culture and enhance patient satisfaction on both clinical care and service delivery levels. She previously directed sales for Choice Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, Extended Stay Hotels and Starwood Hotels. April has her Bachelors in Family and Consumer Sciences and Hotel/Restaurant Management from Western Illinois University.

April’s colleagues shared feedback on her and her win:

  • “It’s not often that you meet an individual like April who is so focused and committed to making people better, and actually has the energy, creativity and passion to make it happen. Our organization is lucky to have her and I’m thankful that she is a part of the Villa team.” – Mark Berger, Chief Executive Officer
  • “April’s energy and unwavering commitment in placing our employees at the center of all we do directionally leads our teams. Her vision of creating and maintaining an environment of employee-centric care is one way in which her leadership supports our philosophy of Making People Better.” – Michelle Scherwinski, Chief Nursing Officer
  • “April joined Villa with a deep understanding of customer service and hospitality, and quickly applied her skills to the more demanding environment of skilled nursing. In just over three years, April’s knowledge has broadened, and her talents created new executive opportunities, including responsibility for communications and workplace safety. April’s growth is remarkable, and a testament to her hard work and learning agility. She embodies Villa’s core value of ‘making people better’ and is an example of that in her approach to developing her own skills and abilities.” – Dave Devereaux, Chief Operating Officer
  • “April is a recruiter, not only in the HR-sense of the word, but she has the ability to show others what she’s passionate about, get them motivated to join her and further the initiative. She works along-side her colleagues; building relationships, encouraging growth, and committing to accomplish the hard work. April’s ambition for progress is exciting to see and you can’t help but want to be a part of it.” – Marianne Marcocig, Senior Vice President of Operations
  • “It’s not easy to influence others, but it is a vital ability in leadership which requires understanding people, their motivations, and how to utilize that insight to leverage performance and positive outcomes. April not only influences people, she inspires them to be better and go beyond their own capabilities. She sees beyond the job title and treats others with humanity and compassion. Her leadership has helped me grow as a person, not just as an employee, something for which I will be forever grateful.” – Toni Fimowicz, National Director of Organizational Development
  • “I have worked with April for more than three years and she is the type of colleague that you become instant friends with. I am lucky to have her as a colleague and friend. April’s ability to organize and install systems has taught me, in my role, how to be a better leader and strategist.” – Avi Lev, Chief Marketing Officer
  • “Leader, colleague, mentor & friend – that is how I would describe April. She’s helped me grow personally and professionally. April offers guidance through hardship and encouragement towards success. I not only trust and respect her, but most importantly aspire to emulate her.” – Nicole Choudoir, Engagement Coordinator
  • “I’ve had the privilege to work with April Doremus for several years and her leadership style is rare. She has a passion and willingness to invest in her team not only as professionals, but also as people, which inspires me to be a better manager. At Villa we pride ourselves in our employee-centered culture, and April’s day-to-day words and actions support our mission of Making People Better. I’m thankful to continue learning from her every day.” – Hannah Schutte, Employee Centered Care Program Manager
  • “From April, I’ve learned that a leader needs to loyally follow what they know to be right and true, even if others don’t see your vision in the beginning. That passion will help you withstand the challenges, the work, the change, the resistance and ultimately lead you to the growth. Others may not understand your vision and your passion until you can prove the results through the growth.” – Linsey Cherveny, Communications Manager

We’re Villa, and we make people better. Of course, we’re focused on quality care and good outcomes. But we’re here to do so much more. Villa’s leadership has a vision of rising above the status quo—of never settling, and of shattering the old image of this industry. We’ve always wanted to be a part of something greater, and we’re making that a reality. Our commitment to our people, our environment and clinical programs will allow us to fulfill our mission of making people better. For more information, please visit http://www.VillaHC.com.

LiveWall Living Wall Brings Natural Beauty and Calm to the TSA Checkpoint at Appleton International Airport (ATW)

The lush, vibrant green wall at Appleton International Airport.

The living wall softens and brightens the area following the airport’s TSA checkpoint.

Not only does it provide a calming effect, it quickly became an unexpected attraction.

The renovation and expansion of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint at Appleton International Airport (ATW), Appleton, Wisc., features a 276-square-foot green wall installed with the LiveWall ® Indoor Living Wall System. Completed in August 2018, the three-sided living wall is positioned at the end of the security lines, where it serves as green design element that has a natural, biophilic calming effect.

“We set out to make ATW’s TSA checkpoint the most visually appealing and pleasant in the U.S.,” said Patrick Tracey, marketing manager, Appleton International Airport (ATW). “The living wall is essential in realizing this goal.”

“The living wall serves to calm and de-stress the checkpoint,” said Mitchell Walker, designer, aviation architecture, Mead & Hunt.

The transformation of the security area is part of a multi-million renovation and reconstruction of 50,000 square feet of ATW’s commercial passenger terminal designed by Mead & Hunt. The project included opening up and maximizing the space in the security area and establishing dedicated lanes for entering the security lines from the terminal and exiting to the terminal from the gates. Adding glazing, both at the exterior and for interior partitions, brightens up the area with borrowed light.

The living wall is situated at the end of the security lines in the “composure area” (where passengers can sit, put their shoes back on, and gather their belongings). Installed by SMA Construction Services (Green Bay, Wisc.), and maintained by Beauty By The Yard (Neenah, Wisc.), the green wall at ATW covers three sides of a structural wall. The section facing the TSA checkpoint is 10’-8” x 8’-3 3/8.” The wrapped corner section is 6’-8” x 10’-11 3/8.” The section facing toward the gates is 10’-8” x 10’-11 3/8”. In total, the wall includes 148 LiveWall modular planter boxes, which are high-impact, UV-resistant, architectural quality moldings. They contain re-usable inserts that hold the growing medium and contain a mix of five different indoor plants.

“The LiveWall green wall softens the feeling of the terminal, where many other materials for the flooring and walls are hard,” said Scott Volberding, C.M., ACE, operations and maintenance manager, Appleton International Airport (ATW). “Not only does it provide a calming effect, it quickly became an unexpected attraction.”

“Travelers are delighted with the wall,” said Tracey. “We see passengers taking selfies in front of the wall after they go through security. Their positive experience of the living wall makes for a memory they want to save and share on social media.”

Appleton International Airport (ATW)

Appleton International Airport, the third largest airport in Wisconsin, is one of the fastest growing airports in the U.S. ATW serves Northeast Wisconsin via four airlines (American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Allegiant Air) with nonstop services to 10 destinations including five major hubs (Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul) and five warm weather destinations (Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Las Vegas, Orlando/Sanford, Phoenix/Mesa and Tampa/St. Pete). USA-WWF has partnered with Walt Disney World to create the Oscars of water skiing & wake sports. From the red-carpet arrivals to the lavish induction ceremony, it will certainly be a night filled with inspiration & magic as we celebrate the sports highest honor.

Congratulations Shaun, Mandy & Joe!

Shaun Murray

Murray was a four-time world champion wakeboarder. He was born on April 28, 1976 in Mission Viejo, Calif., and started water skiing at the age of 8. In 1988, he moved with his family to Lake St. Louis, Mo., where he honed his skills as a member of the Lake St. Louis Water Ski Club. After graduating from high school, he moved to Florida to compete for the Florida Southern College water ski team and teach water skiing at the Benzel Ski School. His wakeboarding career started in 1995 and was full of innovation and accomplishment, including many pro tour and world championship titles. Murray invented several wakeboard tricks, including the Bel Air, Tweety Bird, Square Raley, Crook, Crow 5, Heelside frontside and more. He promoted his own “Backyard Tour” with pro rider and friend Gerry Nunn; has been featured in many wakeboard movies, magazine and television pieces; created his own wakeboard instructional series entitled “Detention;” and was the star of his own video game, Wakeboarding Unleashed. In the summer of 2004, Murray dislocated his knee while riding. He tore his ACL, PCL, and MCL. After reconstructive surgery he was told he might not ride again. But, just months later he was back riding. He helped develop signature products that include boats, wakeboards, life jackets, wet suits and clothing lines. Murray was the first wakeboarder to land a 900 (Regular Heelside) in a competition, and he is the only rider ever to hold World, Pro Tour and National Championship titles at once.

Mandy Nightingale

While considered a formidable three-event water ski athlete, Nightingale was one of the greatest trick skiers of her era, winning back-to-back world championships in 2003 and 2005, and establishing a world record of 8,740 points in 2006. She was a five-time champion of the U.S. Open and two-time champion of the Masters. She was named USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ Female Athlete of the Year in 2007 when she competed on two U.S. water ski teams and collected four individual medals in the process. She also won women’s tricks title that year at the Australian Open and U.S. Open and swept both events of the IWWF Water Ski World Cup. At the 2007 Pan American Games, she earned the silver medal in tricks and bronze medals in slalom and jumping. At the 2007 Water Ski World Championships, she was the lone U.S. team member to win an individual medal, earning the bronze in tricks.

Joe Ray

Ray announced his retirement from competition at age 59 following the conclusion of the 2017 Disabled Water Ski World Championships. Competing in the MP2 Division from 1998-2016, Ray won 34 gold medals, seven silver medals and four bronze medals at the U.S. Disabled Water Ski National Championships. He was a 10-time national MP2 overall champion. As a nine-time member of the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team, he won 13 gold medals, six silver medals and five bronze medals at the Disabled Water Ski World Championships. He was a three-time world MP2 overall champion and a member of five gold-medal winning U.S. Disabled Water Ski Teams. He set six MP2 world slalom records and he was the first MP2 water skier to run the outer course. At the only two Disabled Pan American Championships held, he won the overall gold medal both times in Seated Men. He was a six-time recipient of the Water Skiers with Disabilities Association’s Male Athlete of the Year award.
