Drivers Can Pay Cheaper Car Insurance Rates If They Drop Full Coverage

News Image

“Dropping full coverage can help drivers save money on car insurance. However, drivers should consider the advantages and disadvantages of dropping full coverage, before making this decision”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Cheapquotesautoinsurance.com has launched a new blog post that explains how dropping full coverage in various scenarios can help drivers save money on car insurance.

For more info and free car insurance quotes, visit https://cheapquotesautoinsurance.com/how-to-lower-car-insurance-rates-by-dropping-full-coverage/

In almost all states, except New Hampshire, drivers are required to carry car insurance. Besides the minimum car insurance that is required by the state law, drivers can acquire additional coverages, like full coverage. In some cases, drivers who are having full coverage can be overpaying for something that is really not worth it.

Drivers who have full coverage are advised to drop it in the following situations:

  • The vehicle is too old. The value of a vehicle will decrease as soon as it’s leaving the showroom. Unless the car is a collectible, it’s value will continue to decrease with each year that passes. Keeping full coverage for a vehicle that is 10 years old or older is not worth it.
  • High-mileage. Drivers who use their cars very often, should not be surprised if their vehicles are not as valuable as they think. Relatively new vehicles that are 4, or 5 years cold can drastically lose their value if they were driven for 200,000 miles or even more. In this case, full coverage is not worth it.
  • The car is in a really bad condition. Even if a vehicle has sentimental value, this should not be a reason to keep full coverage on a car that is covered in rust.
  • The loan has been paid. Banks and other financial institutions that are financing a vehicle will impose the owner to carry full coverage. Once the driver fully owns the vehicle, then he can choose to drop full coverage.
  • The driver can’t afford to pay anymore. Policyholders who entered into financial troubles can save some by dropping full coverage and using them in another place.
  • The vehicle is being kept in a garage. A garage can protect a vehicle from weather damage, theft, vandalism, and fire. Drivers who decide to drop full coverage should ensure that they are driving carefully and they are not causing accidents. If they do cause an accident, then they will have to cover the cost to repair the vehicle from their own pockets.

Shooter Detection Systems Unveils New Guardian Wireless Gunshot Detection System

https://www.prweb.com/

Guardian Wireless/Battery-Powered Indoor Active Shooter Detection Sensor

SDS has responded to market demand for secure and reliable gunshot detection in a wireless/battery-powered sensor.

Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) is pleased to announce a new addition to the Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection System product line in the form of a Patent Pending wireless/battery-powered gunshot detection sensor, meeting market demand for a secure and reliable dual mode wireless option that alerts building occupants and law enforcement to active shooter incidents.

Guardian Wireless sensors mirror the acoustic and infrared gunshot detection features of the company’s flagship Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection Power over Ethernet (PoE) sensors, with the addition of a lithium battery pack that negates the need for any wiring to operate the sensors. Guardian Wireless utilizes a highly secure long-range wireless technology that maintains a regular system “heartbeat”, ensuring optimum system uptime as the sensors scan the environment for gunshots while filtering out false alerts.

“We listened to the market and they’ve been asking for a reliable, zero-calibration system that meets the high-performance standards of the Guardian System,” said Christian Connors, SDS Chief Executive Officer. “We began in 2018 by refining the core Guardian technology, redesigning hardware to incorporate battery power, then sourced a wireless technology well known for its reliability and security with IoT devices. Guardian Wireless will lower the overall customer cost by as much as 40-60 percent due to the reduction in infrastructure costs. Most importantly, customers can now choose a wireless system and be assured that they are using proven, reliable gunshot detection technology from a company they trust.”

Since its introduction to the commercial market in 2014, the Guardian PoE gunshot detection sensor has been in use by hundreds of customers in Fortune 500 companies, sports stadiums, Federal Government agencies, Department of Defense bases, and other public and private institutions. Many U.S. K-12 schools, such as Phoenix Academy in North Carolina and Hooksett Schools in New Hampshire, are using the Guardian System, however school funding continues to be a major hurdle for schools looking to secure their facilities against active shooter attacks. With the wireless system SDS anticipates that their lifesaving capability will now be in financial reach of a greater number of schools struggling with limited budgets. Major corporations who tend to favor wired over wireless technology will now have a choice as to which version they and their IT departments are comfortable deploying. Additionally, larger scale installations will benefit from the reduction in installation costs and allow for more widespread deployment in larger structures.

The SDS engineering team has developed many firsts in gunshot detection, from the first gunshot detection systems used in wartime to human-worn and helicopter gunshot detection systems to Guardian, the first indoor system available to the commercial market. “This new development builds on our legacy of excellence in product engineering,” said Ronald Fowler, SDS Chief Technical Officer. “Guardian Wireless marks the first long-life battery, dual mode infrared and acoustic gunshot detection sensor with a consistent heartbeat to confirm the sensor’s operational status. This is a critical component in an IoT life safety device that until now hasn’t been successfully realized in a wireless system.”

The Guardian backend software and integrations were purposefully left unchanged in order to incorporate a combination of PoE and wireless sensors in the same deployment. Existing integrations including Genetec, Everbridge, Avigilon, and other SDS partner technologies will continue to work uninterrupted with the addition of Guardian Wireless sensors. The new sensors are also compatible with the company’s Patent-Pending handheld tester, used in installations and in annual onsite testing performed as an additional layer of compliance.

“We know that active shooters can strike anywhere at any time,” said Connors. “This very real threat makes our mission crystal clear: SDS is committed to improving the global security infrastructure by developing gunshot detection solutions that far exceed industry standards for quality, life safety and performance with solutions that will reduce response time, provide greater clarity in communications, and save lives in active shooter incidents.”

The wireless system is in the final phase of rigorous internal and third-party testing and will follow with government testing. The company expects the certification phase to be complete by the end of 2019 and that Guardian Wireless will be released for commercial availability in the first quarter of 2020.

About Shooter Detection Systems

With over fifteen years of experience in the development and delivery of gunshot detection systems to military and commercial customers, Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) is recognized as the security industry’s leading provider of gunshot detection solutions for schools, businesses, airports, critical infrastructure sites, U.S. Department of Defense bases, Federal Government Agencies and entertainment and manufacturing spaces, including over twenty-percent of Fortune 100 corporations who trust their indoor and outdoor solutions to accurately detect and rapidly report gunshots in their environments with zero false alerts. Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Raytheon/BBN, SDS’ Guardian gunshot detection system is SAFETY Act Certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Approved for U.K. Government Use by the Centre for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure (CPNI), and SL4 Certified by the Australian Government’s Security Construction & Equipment Committee (SCEC), certifications exclusively held by their leading product, the Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection System. Top Efficient Methods Used by Drivers to Pay Cheaper Car Insurance Premiums

News Image

“With a little bit of effort, you can save money on car insurance. Installing safety devices and maintaining a clean driving record will help you lower the insurance premiums,” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Carinsuranceshoppingsource.com has launched a new blog post that presents several efficient tips that will help drivers pay lower car insurance rates.

For more info and free car insurance quotes, visit https://carinsuranceshoppingsource.com/top-tips-on-how-to-save-on-car-insurance/

Car insurance policies can cost as much as several thousands of dollars per year. It might not look much, but for many families, car insurance can be a burden. Some are even considering dropping coverage.

Drivers who consider dropping coverage should follow the next tips on how to save on car insurance:

  • Graduate a defensive driving course. Very young drivers are charged extra on their insurance policies. Insurance providers consider than teens are high-risk drivers because they lack driving experience. Also, statistics show that teen drivers are more likely to be involved in car accidents. Teen drivers can lower their insurance rates by enrolling and graduating a defensive driving course.
  • Clean driving record. Drivers who manage to avoid parking tickets, speeding tickets, at-fault accident convictions, DUI incident convictions, and other traffic violation penalties for a period that is between three to five years can get a safe driving discount. However, drivers who got some tickets present in their driving records should talk with a lawyer and check if they can be expunged.
  • Install safety devices. Many modern vehicles come equipped with the latest safety devices. Drivers who do not own a modern vehicle can improve the safety of their vehicles by installing aftermarket safety devices. Rear cameras, safer seatbelts, tracking devices, and other devices will help policyholders save money on car insurance. However, policyholders should ask their insurers what safety devices are approved and how much money they can save after installing them.
  • Get a low-mileage discount. Drivers who are using their vehicles to commute to work on short distances can qualify for a low-mileage discount.
  • Obtain a loyalty discount. Policyholders who are loyal to the same insurance provider for a number of years can get a loyalty discount upon renewing the insurance contract.
  • Bundle policies with the same insurer. Policyholders who insure two or more vehicles to the same provider can gain a multi-car policy discount. Also, policyholders can insure their cars policies with different insurance products like homeowner’s insurance, life insurance, health insurance, or even boat insurance. In this case, drivers who insure two or more different insurance products will get a multi-policy discount.

Quantum Spatial Remote Sensing Analytics Expertise to be Featured at 2019 Trees and Utilities Conference

https://www.prweb.com/

Point cloud visualization of tree health categories within a utility right-of-way.

Vegetation management has long been a reactive process. With innovations in remote sensing and analytics, we are enabling a proactive approach for assessing vegetation health, to reduce risk, streamline inspections and target tree trimming activities to areas of greatest concern.

Quantum Spatial, Inc., the nation’s largest independent geospatial data firm, today announced that its use of remote sensing and analytics for vegetation management will be featured during the 2019 Trees and Utilities Conference, taking place September 10-12 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Quantum Spatial will be exhibiting at the conference, offering presentations at its booth on topics such as wildfire analytics, tree species identification using hyperspectral imagery, cycle- and condition-based vegetation management, and funding for remote sensing initiatives.

“Vegetation management has long been a reactive process, in which utilities typically address problematic trees that pose an imminent threat,” said Eric Merten, vice president and general manager, Commercial Markets for Quantum Spatial. “With our industry-leading innovations in remote sensing and analytics, Quantum Spatial is enabling utilities to take a more proactive approach to assessing vegetation health and identifying species. This knowledge will help utilities reduce risk, streamline inspections and target tree trimming activities to areas of greatest concern.”

WHAT:    2019 Trees and Utilities Conference

WHEN:    September 10-12, 2019

WHERE:    Duke Energy Convention Center

        Cincinnati, Ohio

DETAILS:    Quantum Spatial is exhibiting in booth 111, where it will feature educational presentations:

Wildfire Analytics

Tuesday, September 10, 11:40 a.m.

Speaker: Greg Denton, PMP, geospatial program manager, Utility and Commercial Markets

  • As climate instability continues to intensify, climate conditions and weather events become an increasingly important variable in utility risk planning. Only by understanding both the probability of a weather event and its impact, can utilities develop intelligent risk mitigation strategies. Quantum Spatial will showcase a comprehensive fire-risk model co-developed with Pyrologix. The model combines both the likelihood of a vegetation-caused fire along electrical lines, and the behavior and subsequent impacts of a utility-caused fire starting at any given location across the system. The presentation also will feature the pros and cons of different fuel and fire modeling approaches, and how utilities can leverage new or existing remote sensing data sets to improve these models.

Tree Species – Hyperspectral Identification

Tuesday, September 10, 3:10 p.m.

Speaker: Zach Raymer, hyperspectral imagery technical expert

  • Understanding where problematic or high-risk tree species are located in relation to utility assets enables utility stakeholders to better mitigate risk. Quantum Spatial uses hyperspectral imagery combined with real-world identifier trees and custom machine learning pipelines to model and map the location of “danger trees” for utility clients. This presentation will focus on Quantum Spatial’s methods and results, and explain how utilities can leverage tree species information with analytics, like growth rates and tree health, to create a more robust risk profile.

Cycle-based vs. Condition-based Vegetation Management

Wednesday, September 11, 3:35 p.m.

Speaker: Greg Denton, PMP, geospatial program manager, Utility and Commercial Markets

  • The goal of condition-based maintenance is no longer a “future state” goal for utility vegetation management programs. Utilities across the globe routinely deploy remote sensing technologies – paired with advanced modeling techniques, machine learning methods and work management software – to realize the benefits of increased system reliability, safety and return on investment. This presentation will review the foundation technologies and systems that make condition-based maintenance possible. Quantum Spatial will discuss the challenges and successes of recent system wire deployments within leading North American programs, and show how traditional survey methods can be integrated with multi-phase remote sensing systems for a truly state-of-the-art aerial patrol.

Funding Strategies for Remote Sensing Analytics

Wednesday, September 11, 10:20 a.m.

Speaker: Jacob Hall, vice president, Energy Sales – Utilities

  • Utilities looking to incorporate remote sensing technologies into their daily operations need to overcome the hurdle of funding those initiatives. Funding justification often takes two forms – reducing O&M, or rationalizing a capital expenditure. This presentation will discuss tools that have been used successfully to demonstrate overall reduction of O&M dollars and generate a favorable ROI for the enterprise, as well as strategies for successfully capitalizing your remote sensing project.

CONTACT:    To set up a meeting with Quantum Spatial at the 2019 Trees and Utilities Conference, contact Jacob Hall at jhall at quantumspatial dot com or call 805-757-6418.

“We’re excited to offer products that help people feel positive about their food choice,” says Jennifer Mellard, company founder, “such as the mom who wants to reduce her child’s exposure to toxic chemicals in food, to the athlete who wants to fuel up with a healthier option, or even the person who simply wants to enjoy healthier food without compromising taste. We consider those to be winning choices! When you eat good, you feel good. When you feel good, you’re better prepared to take on what lies ahead.”

Finding an organic cornbread mix has been a near-impossible task, until now. Corn is one of the top genetically-modified crops in the United States. Now cornbread lovers can enjoy this popular side dish without the concern of GMO’s, growth hormones, toxic additives, or preservatives. Whether you’re enjoying a simple dinner at home or preparing a gameday feast, this cornbread is sure to get you in the winning spirit!

“Our cornbread has a lightly sweetened flavor and a fluffy soft texture that makes just the right addition to an endless variety of menus. You’ll be savoring every bite of this warm and delicious side dish,” added Mellard.

As for the Classic Pancake and Waffle Mix, this product creates the traditional pancake taste and texture most people grew up eating, but is made with trustworthy ingredients and methods. The Oat Muffin Mix provides a hearty and healthy option made with plant protein to give you a satisfying, easy-to-grab snack.

The company’s original product, Organic Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancake Mix, now in new packaging, remains a customer favorite due to no added sugar, seven grams of protein, and four grams of fiber. “It’s fun to watch the surprise of parents when they see their kids actually like the taste of something so healthy! It makes parents feel successful, and even relieved, to be able to feed their kids something that’s good for them,” said Mellard.

In the coming months, Gold Coast will continue to add to its expanding selection of organic mixes.

Important Tips That Can Help Any High-Risk Driver Save Money on Car Insurance

News Image

“Obtaining cheaper insurance premiums for high-risk drivers is not impossible. Insuring a cheap car and improving the credit score can help high-risk drivers obtain affordable rates”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Cheapquotesautoinsurance.com has launched a new blog post that explains how high-risk drivers can obtain lower car insurance premiums.

Obtaining a cheap car insurance policy is quite difficult for drivers that are classified as high-risk. There are many reasons why insurance companies classify some drivers as high-risk. No matter the reason why they are classified as such, they all have something in common, and that is the extremely expensive premiums.

High-risk drivers who want to pay less on their policies can follow the next tips:

  • Go to specialized non-standard insurers. Many insurance providers have subsidiaries or are working with smaller insurers that are specialized in insuring high-risk drivers. Big Insurance carriers can provide insurance for high-risk drivers, but usually, their offers are extremely expensive. For this reason, most high-risk drivers prefer to get insurance from a specialized carrier that offers better deals.
  • Insure a cheap car. A slightly used vehicle that has a high safety rating would be the ideal choice for a high-risk driver that wants to save money on car insurance. There’s no need to insure a brand-new vehicle when even cars that are 4, or 5 years old come equipped with many safety features that can guarantee the owner to get a discount.
  • Look for available discounts. High-risk drivers can obtain the same discounts as standard drivers. High-risk drivers will lower their insurance rates if they are eligible for discounts such as getting married, graduating a defense course, or moving to a better neighborhood discount.
  • Compare car insurance quotes. High-risk drivers can still find offers from multiple car insurance companies. Before signing to a specialized insurance carrier, drivers should compare several online car insurance quotes and check if they can find a better deal
  • Consider dropping coverage. Drivers who own an old or cheap vehicle should check if keeping full coverage still makes sense. If a vehicle value is less than ten full coverage payments, then high-risk drivers should consider dropping full coverage.
  • Improve the credit score. High-risk drivers who have a bad credit score are paying some of the highest insurance premiums in the country. To improve their credit score, high-risk drivers can pay their bills on time and they can stop gathering an additional debt.
