Inception, whose mission is to shift the paradigm of the IVF Market, announces today that Joe B. Massey, M.D. has joined its network of providers. A pioneer in reproductive medicine, Dr. Massey has spent the last two decades of his career making high-quality, advanced fertility treatments increasingly affordable and accessible to all patients.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Massey is a leading expert in infertility treatment, including in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), as well as egg freezing. Dr. Massey was involved in the first pregnancy in the United States following assisted hatching in 1988 and ICSI in 1993. In 1983, Dr. Massey co-founded Reproductive Biology Associates (RBA) in Atlanta, GA, which is part of The Prelude Network and the longest, continuously-operating and full-service private fertility treatment center in the United States, where he practiced until 2006. He went on to form the Servy Massey Fertility Institute (SMFI) with Dr. Edouard Servy, where he worked on perfecting a low-cost approach to IVF to be able to help even more people build the family of their dreams.

In Georgia, like many states across the country, coverage for fertility testing and treatment is limited through insurance carriers and individual plans, leaving most patients with no or limited fertility coverage and few options to pursue their dreams of having a family without significant out-of-pocket costs. This partnership will expand Dr. Massey’s commitment and work around creating affordable access to fertility treatment, while allowing Inception to continue to create additional access for the niche market of low-cost, high-quality fertility service and care.

“The financial aspect of the fertility journey can be a challenging one, especially for those with no or limited fertility coverage, and this partnership gives both Dr. Massey and Inception the opportunity to inspire hope and build beautiful families through lower-cost yet high-quality treatment,” says TJ Farnsworth, CEO & Founder of Inception. “We are very excited to have Dr. Massey join the Inception family, as we both have a clear vision of increasing access to low cost, advanced fertility care to all patients.”

Through the Inception partnership, patients of Dr. Massey can continue to expect a full range of lower-cost, high-quality assisted reproductive services for men and women, including male and female fertility testing, cryopreservation for fertility preservation, donor and surrogacy services, genetic screening, IUI/IVF/ICSI, LGBT family building and more.

“We are excited to partner with Inception because our vision of improving the way patients experience their fertility journey is important to both entities, and from my experience, approximately 75% of infertility patients who need IVF cannot afford it,” says Joe B. Massey, M.D. “This integration allows us the opportunity to continue to streamline our operations in order to pursue offering innovative ways to provide high-quality, low-cost services.”
