HealthJoy Announces 2-Day QuickLaunch for Employer Telemedicine Offering in Response to Outbreak

We’ve streamlined the client onboarding process to make getting virtual care as simple as possible.

Prompted by a surge in coronavirus-related demand, HealthJoy created QuickLaunch, a limited version of HealthJoy that allows companies to give employees access to telemedicine and concierge support in just 2 business days. To launch, companies need only supply an eligibility file with basic information enabling HealthJoy to deploy its product quickly. After launch, HealthJoy will work with the company to release a full version of the product within its standard implementation period. Companies have the option to include either HealthJoy EAP or behavioral health with the initial quick launch, improving their capacity to address mental health during these stressful times.

“In the last few days, a lot of companies and benefits consultants have asked us for a quicker way to launch our solution. Companies want to provide employees with access to telemedicine and healthcare guidance right now, not in three months. We’ve streamlined the client onboarding process to make getting virtual care as simple as possible,” HealthJoy CEO Justin Holland said. “Our healthcare system is facing increasing pressure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and virtual medical providers are quickly becoming the first line of defense. We can consult and treat the 80% of people who experience mild symptoms and won’t need to go to the hospital. Telemedicine helps our hospital systems free up resources for severe cases, and of course, it allows communities to “flatten the curve.”

Launching QuickLaunch more than triples available onboarding capacity during this crisis. HealthJoy accepts companies with over 100 employees and serves clients in every industry including agriculture, aerospace, financial services, manufacturing, and more. During the pandemic outbreak, HealthJoy is working with clients to make telemedicine consultations free for every member, regardless of their health plan, and to encourage this alternative for care in the spirit of the Trump Administration’s comments regarding telehealth.
