The Potter’s Hands” is an absorbing anthology filled with reminders of God’s sanctity and magnificence

News Image

“Soul Music Volumes 1 And 2: The Potter’s Hands”: an elevating read that imparts warmth in each verse of every poem. It aims to celebrate every creation made by the Creator and hopes to uplift readers from life’s adversities. “Soul Music Volumes 1 And 2: The Potter’s Hands” is the creation of published author MaryAnn Zilko, a passionate writer and poet, a secretary for over twenty years of her life, a faithful wife to her husband and childhood sweetheart, and a mother to five children who bore her twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is a breast cancer survivor who now resides in Pittsburgh.

Zilko shares, “To my readers, I have always loved lighthouses. In fact, I have gathered a small collection over the years. I was also fortunate enough to be able to see seven of them while on vacation with my two sisters at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. They are even more majestic than their photos. They remind me of safety, clear paths, assurance, and help to find the way.

“In my poems, I have followed the same message. Some of the poems tell of finding hope in the darkest news you receive—‘An Unexpected Journey,’ ‘Time to Say Goodbye,’ and ‘His Garden.’ Some of them are humorous—‘Bambi and Kin in My Front Yard,’ ‘Goodbye Romance,’ and ‘Into the Woods.’ Some are patriotic—‘God Bless Our Heroes,’ ‘Tribute—Memorial Day,’ and ‘My Flag.’

“All of them are really poems of praise to the Father of all creation. His splendor and majesty are everywhere you look. His creation is so magnificent you can’t help but to rejoice and thank Him for giving us so much beauty to enjoy.

“My poems are my way of saying thank you to the Lord of all. They were written with much prayer and thought. As you read them, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did in writing them. And as a breast-cancer survivor, I must say that God is good!

Thank you so much, and God bless.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, MaryAnn Zilko’s new book is a heartfelt compilation of poems designed to express admiration and gratefulness towards the Almighty. The author’s overflowing love and admiration for God fills the pages of this book.

Judy F. Hicks’s newly released “Life is fragile, but Love is STRONG” is an inspiring spiritual testament to the importance of faith and family

News Image

“Life is fragile, but Love is STRONG: Identifying the People and Circumstances Comprising the Mosaic Window of Our Lives”: a potent tale of a faithful life. “Life is fragile, but Love is STRONG: Identifying the People and Circumstances Comprising the Mosaic Window of Our Lives” is the creation of published author Judy F. Hicks, a native of North Carolina born during WWII who gives credit for a strong spiritual foundation to a beloved grandmother.

Hicks shares, “Are you facing something seemingly insurmountable?

“Have you allowed someone to intimidate you and don’t see a way out?

“Have you focused so much on the hurts and disappointments in your life that you have missed the blessings?

“Then you need to read this true story of a woman who did. Sometimes people and circumstances occur in our lives without warning and attempt to drain the sunshine from our days. Regardless of what life hands us, we have choices.

“This book will make you laugh or cry with the turn of each page. The chapter summaries detail how the people or circumstances contributed to who she became. They were symbolically represented by pieces of colorful mosaic glass connected by gold-tinted lead to form her mosaic window of life. Jesus Christ represents the gold lead because He holds our lives together in all the storms we face. He is also the Sonshine on our windows displaying His glory through us regardless of our circumstances.

“The life lessons in these pages are endless and conducive for Bible studies or book clubs.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Judy F. Hicks’s new book is an enjoyable tale of love, family, and faith.

Weaving story after story mixed with relevant biblical passages and entertaining anecdotes from a life well lived, Hicks welcomes readers to observe the highs and lows of her interesting life.

A Wrongful Conviction Transforms Into an Opportunity to Lead Others to Christ in New Young Adult Novel

News Image

“I have written this book for youth and young adults to show that our God is unchanging and is still the God who cared for Joseph in the book of Genesis.”

The biblical story of Joseph, betrayed and sold into slavery by his brothers, serves as a lasting reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness. In her new book, “Seven Minutes,” author Linda McClung offers a contemporary retelling of this scripture, one that centers on a young man named Mick Carter who finds himself in difficult circumstances beyond his control.

Mick is an up-and-coming Christian singer with a passion for spreading the message of Christ through music. After performing his last tour stop in Madison, Wisconsin, Mick is unknowingly targeted by a group of powerful criminals as part of an extortion scheme. He is framed for a serious crime and, upon refusing to pay the sum necessary to have the charges dropped, is found guilty and sentenced to prison for 15 years.

Alone in prison hundreds of miles away from his home in South Carolina, Mick is devastated over the loss of his singing career, reputation and ability to serve as a witness for Christ. However, after praying and reading the bible with his cellmate, JuJu, he discovers an opportunity to minister to the other men in prison. While Mick eventually regains his freedom, he realizes that God put him on this path for a reason and finds a new purpose in spreading the gospel and providing much-needed services to inmates.

McClung was inspired to write “Seven Minutes” to show young readers that difficulties and hardships are a part of life but also opportunities for spiritual growth and fulfillment. Mick’s journey demonstrates that, regardless of what readers are going through, they can turn to God and allow Him to use them as part of His plan.

“I have written this book for youth and young adults to show that our God is unchanging and is still the God who cared for Joseph in the book of Genesis,” said McClung. “I hope young people will use it for discussion groups and grow in their faith as they struggle with life’s hardships.”

“Seven Minutes” is also a valuable tool for youth ministry leaders teaching about Joseph, providing an example of how his story might play out in modern times. Whether read independently or together with a youth group, the book illustrates how God works through His children to spread hope and love to those who need it the most.

“[Seven Minutes] catches your attention from the first page and takes you on a journey of deception, fear, forgiveness and redemption,” wrote an Amazon reviewer. “It shares the reality of loving the unlovable in the worst of circumstances and showing God’s love to everyone…Highly recommended!”

Groundbreaking of New Home in Garland TX by Grand Homes for Hope International

Grand Homes has always supported, and will continue to support, many local charities to benefit the communities in which we build.

Grand Homes invites members of the community to attend a groundbreaking celebration of their ninth Home for HOPE. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 27 from 12:00 until 1:30 at 342 Gleneagles Dr, Garland, TX in their Country Club Estates neighborhood.

The charity home will be built as part of our master-planned neighborhood on Country Club Road just north of Hwy 66. Grand Homes’ trade partners – subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants – will donate or discount their labor, materials and services to help secure a large donation upon the sale of the home. The donation from the sale of the 4 bedroom, 2,580 square foot home, priced at $571,900, will benefit HOPE International, a microfinance network dedicated to alleviating world poverty by providing financial services for impoverished families. The house can be purchased at any phase of construction – even pre-sold to allow the customer to make the house uniquely their own. Country Club Estates is in a convenient location with shopping and dining close by, walking distance to Tuckerville Park and in the Garland ISD with freedom of choice schools.

HOPE’s primary service is to provide loans to poor families in 16 of the world’s most desperate countries. Starting at only $50, these loans enable entrepreneurs to start or expand their small businesses, creating a steady income that will lift their families out of poverty. By providing loans, HOPE gives a “hand up” not a “hand out” to families that will create sustainable business income for future entrepreneurs. Across the country, Homes for HOPE has reached out to over 100 builders and Grand Homes has answered the call a sixth time to participate in the initiative that allows builders to have a worldwide impact simply by doing what they do best: build homes.

Grand Homes will be contributing all proceeds from the sale including donations from their trade partners in the final sum given to Homes for HOPE. Stephen Brooks, CEO and owner of Grand Homes, believes in the idea of giving back. “Grand Homes has always supported, and will continue to support, many local charities to benefit the communities in which we build; Homes for HOPE allows us to have an impact beyond our own community to help eliminate poverty in areas of need throughout the world,” says Mr. Brooks.

For more information on the groundbreaking or Homes for HOPE, please contact Mary Jo Fogle with Grand Homes at (972) 387-6091 or mjfogle@grandhomes.com.

News Image

“Food For Hezron”: a potent exploration of the classic Bible story. “Food For Hezron” is the creation of published author, Duke Hammond, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and Marine veteran.

Duke writes, “’Food for Hezron’ may seem more like a retelling of the story of Jacob’s son Joseph while he was in Egypt. But God doesn’t work the way we expect. What God did for Hezron wasn’t for Hezron…it was for you. God cares about you more than you can imagine. And He has for a long long time. God knows your troubles. Some of you are struggling terribly. God knows. You are fully in His loving arms!

“‘…but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ 2 Corinthians 4:16b – 18.”

Jerry Lee Johnson’s newly released “You Are Already Dead” is an enlightening message from God as one prepares themselves for the unknown eternal life that awaits them

News Image

“You Are Already Dead”: a sympathetic literary piece speaking to individuals who are afraid of death, to those who may not know there is a God who loves them unconditionally, and because of His sacrifice can have true peace about death and their eternity. “You Are Already Dead” is the creation of published author Jerry Lee Johnson, a spirit-filled follower of God who lives in Seattle, Washington with his family. He has no formal training in writing, but through God’s guidance, he was able to pen this therapeutic work.

Johnson shares, “People all around us are dying everyday. People who have no hope, no understanding, and no assurance of what will happen to them when they take their final breath in this world. Countless people live in the paralyzing fear of death, fear of their unknown eternal destiny. It is an unfortunate fact that in this very unpredictable world we live in, none of us are guaranteed to still be alive tomorrow! You are going to die! I am going to die! And it could even be today! That fabled grim reaper is going to come knocking at your door! You may be asking yourself, ‘If this were to actually happen, what would really happen to me? Would I go to heaven? Would I go to hell? Would I just float off into the cosmos? Would I be reincarnated and get a do over? Or do I just go into blackness and cease to exist?’ You may ask all these questions, but in reality, you just don’t know for sure! We are all like flowers that bloom for a little while and then are gone. This life is very short, but our eternity is forever. So let me ask you the most important question anyone could ever ask. If you’re honest, this is a question you and virtually every person who has ever lived has asked at some point in their lives. If you were to die today, do you know for certain what will happen to you? Do you know for certain where you will spend your eternity? Will you go to a fiery hell and be tortured for all eternity? Or will you spend it in the joy, the peace and the beauty of heaven? What if I were to tell you, you can know for certain? You can know what will happen to you when you do actually die! What if I were to tell you, you do not have to fear death? You don’t have to live in that crippling fear another day! What if I were to tell you, you actual have the choice where you will spend eternity? Wouldn’t that be an awesome thing to know? Not to have to live in the fear of death anymore! You Are Already Dead was written to give you hope and a purpose for your life and your eternity! To give you the information and the understanding you need that can take all that fear away today! How much peace would that kind of knowledge and understanding give to those multitudes of people who live in that paralyzing fear? How much peace would that knowledge give to you?”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Jerry Lee Johnson’s new book serves to guide the reader on how to remove the fear of death. This eye-opening publication presents choices on where one desires to spend their eternal life.

We were wrestling with whether or not we should fast just because our churches called a corporate fast or if we should abstain because it was not prompted by the spirit of God.

“As a result of that discussion, I felt compelled to go to the word of God to make my own determination. I have to say, God opened my eyes a bit more about the fast and what really makes it effective. It is my prayer that God will show up like never before during those times you feel the need to fast and pray.”

Author Sam N. Shapiro’s newly released “Mother’s Kaddish Boy” is a powerful recounting of how the author survived the Nazi war machine

News Image

“Mother’s Kaddish Boy”: a gripping and deeply personal memoir. “Mother’s Kaddish Boy” is the creation of published author, Sam N. Shapiro, a survivor of WWII, devoted humanitarian, successful business owner, and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Shapiro writes, “I dedicate this book to my mother, who called me her “Kaddish Boy”. The heart and soul of this memoir, she gave me an upbringing and philosophy which has served me all my life. Because of her love, and the values, confidence, and strength she instilled in me, I have been able to overcome so many of life’s challenges and disappointments.

Her dedication to and her faith in her God superseded the taunts, humiliation and suffering which we, as Jews, were subjected to. She died cruelly, at the hands of Polish bandits who were robbing and killing seeking gold, and because of the politics and religion in this part of the world.

Always, she trusted in her God: “God will help us survive this bad World War,” even as we were fighting daily for our lives, without food or water; barely able to breathe as we hid in our flimsy bunker in the forest.

Even to this day, as her “Kaddish Boy”, I remember her virtue, strength, courage, and wisdom, as I pray the Kaddish prayer for her and for my Father – a good Jewish boy.”

“Sam believes that if Pope Francis had been Pope during WWII, instead of Pope Pius XII, the Catholic Church would have treated the Jewish people as equals.

Thus, he concludes that at least one third of the six million Jews killed would have survived – by hiding in the forests, mountains or villages, as there were many Catholic Polish people who would have risked their lives (as so many did, in fact) and would not have co-operated with the Germans and Polish police, if guided by their Church.

There is no way that the Germans alone would have been able to search all the villages, or other places where the Jewish survivors were forced to hide. The Polish neighbours, who were trusted with the Jewish belongings and homes as they fled for their lives, would have been discouraged by Pope Francis from coming after, killing, or betraying these innocents to the Nazi war machine.

As a result, Sam’s distressing tale of inhumanity to other humans leaves no doubt as to the moral edict we lived by eighty years ago and, sadly even to this day.

But Sam’s hope throughout all of this is, and has been, that man/womankind will learn from his/her mistakes and treat one another as championed by Pope Francis: Thou Shalt Not Kill.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Sam N. Shapiro’s new book is a heartbreaking retelling of the many painful moments experienced by the author and family during WWII.

With firsthand accuracy, Shapiro walks readers into the past to experience life hiding from dangerous enemies, both known and unknown, as they all fought for survival at the mercy of a ruthless dictator.

Kennedy Nnokam’s newly released “Living A Victorious Life” is a daily devotional perfect for believers who are interested in walking with God through their dreams

News Image

“Living A Victorious Life: A Two-in-One Daily Devotional Guide for Dreamers”: an absorbing compilation of daily devotionals gathered from the author’s twenty-five years of giving his life to the Creator. Within the pages of this life-changing book are guidelines to recording daily dreams and their interpretations. Also included are the intended prayers for specific days. “Living A Victorious Life: A Two-in-One Daily Devotional Guide for Dreamers” is the creation of published author Kennedy Nnokam, a multi-degree holder, a pastor, and founder of Port Harcourt—Victory Christian Center International. He offered his life to the Lord in the year 1993 and has now been following Him for more than twenty-five years.

Nnokam shares, “Living a Victorious Life is a two-in-one daily devotional designed to help both the believer and Bible readers to faithfully and persistently accomplish the task of both reading and studying the Bible within a one- or two-year span and, even better, to accomplish the task of both studying and reading the Bible three times within a two-year span. It also includes guidelines to jot and record daily prayer points for record purposes and answers to prayer when God has answered such prayer. I’ve learned over the years that perseverance in life comes with faithfully committing to the course, persistently driven by the course with a devoted passion for such a course.

“The Bible is a miner’s mine, a treasure island. It is not the Word of God, but rather the Bible contains God’s Word. God’s Word is not pen and paper but an inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which comes alive when one envelops the Bible. God communes, and man communicates, living a victorious life, a daily devotional helps you commune with God and stop communicating to God. It specifies daily chapters, extraction of Bible verses for prayer, prayer times, special prayer, waiting to hear from the Lord, and recording the spoken word by way of dreams. This devotional will help your faith in the letters of the Word to pray and to have faith in the voice of God to do his will. Jesus said, ‘My meat is to do His will,’ ‘My sheep hear my voice.’ If you faithfully and persistently commit to it, at the end of two years, you would have developed a Bible exposé of Jesus, which is the epicenter of the entire Bible. I pray for God to open your understanding to comprehend His scriptures in Jesus’s name. Amen.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Kennedy Nnokam’s new book is an essential publication that deeply rejuvenates the soul. With this book, the author hopes to provide peace to readers as they commit to this daily devotional.
