Author Takiya Arevalo’s newly released “Hello Beautiful, Your Pain Was Not in Vain” is a powerful chronicle of how finding God changed one woman’s life

News Image

“Hello Beautiful, Your Pain Was Not in Vain”: a poignant personal tale. “Hello Beautiful, Your Pain Was Not in Vain” is the creation of published author, Takiya Arevalo, a loving wife and mother to three who works as a life and success coach.

At twenty-five years old, Takiya received a mandate by God that would forever change her life. All her life, she walked around in brokenness and pity. She was a victim to her circumstance until she realized that she was more than a conqueror. Takiya realized that she could either be pitiful or powerful. So full faith, she began to heal a part of her that was the most painful area of her childhood. God turned her tragedy into triumph, her mourning into joy. He wiped away her tears and said, “Hello, beautiful. Your pain is not in vain.” Tempted to give in to the enemy, she was riddled with shame until her Father showed up and reminded her that He did not call her to a life of condemnation.

Takiya shares, “God has called you to be powerful. He did not call you to a life of pity. It is time you stop speaking the lies of the enemy and start speaking what God says about you: He says you are beautiful. If you will change your mind, God will change your life.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Takiya Arevalo’s new book is an honest account of one woman’s experience recovering through faith.

Pairing spiritual ponderances with personal stories, Arevalo welcomes readers to trust in their spirit and renew their faith.

Author Dick Crosby’s newly released “Some Things I Never Learned in Bible College” is an encouraging resource for those entering the vocation of being a pastor

News Image

“Some Things I Never Learned in Bible College”: an encouraging offering to future pastors. “Some Things I Never Learned in Bible College” is the creation of published author, Dick Crosby, a loving husband of fifty-five years to Carol, proud father of four daughters, encouraging grandfather to six grandchildren, and dedicated pastor holding a PhD in Bible and Christian education.

Crosby shares, “This book explores several different aspects of a pastor’s ministry and life. What is written here is the result of nearly fifty years of experience and observations. It is my hope that this will help many pastors who are relatively new to their mission. I wished I had known some of these matters when I first entered the ministry. Being a pastor is a difficult challenge of which I hope to ease in some small way.

The chapters in this book are topical in nature with some connecting to others but often many exploring entirely different subjects. Pastors are leaders, and some are quite opinionated. I would suspect that many pastors will be agreeable with some chapters and opposed to others. That’s okay. I want to suggest ideas and challenge other concepts. Use what you can, and may some of these ideas promote and advance the cause of Christ.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Dick Crosby’s new book is a powerful offering to the next generation of dedicated pastors.

Pairing real-life experience with years of training and education, Crosby hopes to inspire those who have heard the call and are driven to take up the mantle of preaching the word of the Lord.

Emotional Intelligence” is a clear advocacy for authoritative parenting style

News Image

“Shaping Your Child’s Healthy Self-Esteem-Self-Worth: Emotional Intelligence”: a potent examination of authoritative parenting. “Shaping Your Child’s Healthy Self-Esteem-Self-Worth: Emotional Intelligence” is the creation of published author Rose M. Ditto, PhD, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who has devoted a significant amount of time volunteering at a local, state, and national level through work with the General Federation of Women’s Club.

Ditto, PhD shares, “The greatest gift that can be given to a child during the early, formative years, is the encouragement and guidance to develop a healthy self-esteem/self-worth. Its development provides the child the probability of having self-respect, having respect for others, believing that they are a child of God, that they have a purpose in life, and that they are worthy. It affects relationships with friends, relationships within the family, relationships when attending school, relationships in the workplace, relationships while serving in leadership, and relationships in general during life. When healthy self-esteem/self-worth is not developed in the early formative years, it is difficult to develop later in life. It is not impossible but difficult. Habits and attitudes that are not favorable are likely to develop and are difficult to change. The parenting style in raising children is important, and this book gives research and support for the authoritative parenting style as being best. Parenting is the most important job we have in life. How we parent can shape a child’s perception as to the importance for becoming a responsible, productive person.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Rose M. Ditto, PhD’s new book is an intelligent discussion of the key features of authoritative parenting and the potential for more positive behavioral results.

Former Attorney Eric J. Bonetti Appeals Grace Episcopal Church Alexandria Lawsuit to Federal Court of Appeals

Case alleges First Amendment, equal protection, and due process of law claims

Eric J. Bonetti, part of the first same-sex couple married at Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria Virginia, has appealed a lawsuit filed in the federal district court for the Eastern District of Virginia in the case originally docketed at 1:2021cv00190. The original case was dismissed by the trial court.

The pleadings in the notice of appeal allege:

  • That the Commonwealth of Virginia, acting through its courts, cannot issue a protective order without a showing of a threat of imminent harm as required by the Virginia statute, without violating constitutional guarantees of due process and equal protection.
  • That the City of Alexandria Virginia cannot wade into a civil dispute, provide free legal advice and assistance to one party in the dispute, while ignoring allegations of illegal conduct by the other party, without violating constitutional guarantees of due process and equal protection of the laws.
  • That the City of Alexandria police department cannot repeatedly stop and interrogate peaceful protesters solely for exercising their rights to free speech, as doing so would chill the public’s First Amendment rights.
  • That the Commonwealth of Virginia, acting through the Alexandria Circuit Court cannot prohibit Bonetti from discussing his lawsuit against Robert Hiller Malm, absent some rational basis, including but not limited to an affected privacy interest on the part of the defendant, without violating First Amendment guarantees of free speech.
  • That the Alexandria Circuit court allegedly has displayed irrational bias against the Plaintiff, including preventing him from engaging in discovery and prejudging his case, thus violating constitutional guarantees of due process and equal protection.
  • That Plaintiff has a right under the federal Stored Communications Act to prohibit defendant Robert Hiller Malm and his family from accessing his blog in violation of the relevant terms and conditions.

Copies of the notice of appeal have been sent to counsel for the defendants and Virginia’s Office of Attorney General.

The notice of appeal is online at https://issuu.com/gracealexwatch/docs/p_notice_of_appeal_1_.

Juanita Werrett’s newly released “Balancing God, Science, and Technology in the End Times” is a potent look at science and religion in modern times

News Image

“Balancing God, Science, and Technology in the End Times”: a powerful discussion of the end times. “Balancing God, Science, and Technology in the End Times” is the creation of published author Juanita Werrett, a dedicated wife, loving mother, and lifelong student of science and religion.

Werrett shares, “It is critical in this day of discovery and augmented scientific knowledge that we come to an accurate balance of understanding between foundational science and foundational religion. We are facing a technology that is moving at enormous speed. We need to understand the precarious status of humans as we enter and live through the future technology era that is upon us. Humanity could be negatively affected by technology either unintentionally or by design. As we move forward, ethical and moral decisions will be confronted as to how we manage AI (artificial intelligence) robots, avatars, and the huge data-gathering process associated with the tech industries being formulated at this moment. Controversy will rage, but solutions will percolate. The truth is, you and I are ‘the product’ in the new global technology paradigm, and our information will feed AI, ‘the data-eating beast.’ Pandora’s box is open. Science and technology are leapfrogging forward at an exponential pace. There is no mechanism to stop it…except God!

“God’s children are weighted and wired for spiritual success. True doctrines and ordinances of the Gospel of Christ fortify faith and give Christians hope in His return. Spiritual development and power comes to those who are prepared and willing to stand with Christ. The fuller blessings may be ours in spite of the underlying challenges. Perhaps it is fortunate that we live in the fullness of time and the fast-approaching premillennial era. The righteous will be saved in life or death. Some may be blessed to witness the glorious Second Coming of the Savior.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Juanita Werrett’s new book is an intelligently crafted examination of what could be on the horizon for mankind.

Pairing a love of science with devotion to Christ, Werrett provides a stirring examination of the ever-evolving world in relation to prophetic scripture.

Gillette shares, “Debra Livingston was an operating room nurse who became a witness in the witness protection program through no fault of her own.

“Debra was warned about what she heard by the scrub nurse who was also her roommate and friend.

“Sally was killed an hour later in a hit-and-run accident as she was running for her life. The surgeon had died just moments after the confrontation in the operating room.

“Debra knew she needed to run for her life, or she would end up the same; however, the police got to her first before the mob could kill her.

“The corruption went all the way to the White House and the Castelleri mob of Chicago.

“The story takes Debra on her journey to stay alive with the assistance of Sam Jacobson of the Reno Police Homicide Division and Daniel Williams, part-time agent for the Department of Homeland Security through the witness protection program.

“The rules and regulations she had to follow, the many times she had to drop everything and run again.

Rapture or Resurrection?” is a powerful argument for the importance of preparing for Jesus’ return

News Image

“The Church in End-Time Prophecy: Rapture or Resurrection?”: a potent narrative of the end times. “The Church in End-Time Prophecy: Rapture or Resurrection?” is the creation of published author, Curtis Schulze, a devoted husband and Christian.

Schulze shares, “Today, the rapture of the church is one of the most disputed end-time topics in all the scriptures. No other end-time doctrine has divided the church more than this subject of the rapture. We have made this all about timing, rather than his return. Many are preoccupied with and distracted by their own particular prediction.

The purpose of this book is not to refute one position in favor of another, but to come against the church’s obsession and preoccupation with timing. Our focus should be directed toward his return, and not fixed on timing. This is the testimony of the scriptures!

Whether he comes early, or whether he tarries, this does not matter to me. What matters to me is the readiness of the church! We need to be ready now and always if he comes early, but if delayed: we will need to be ready to go through the dark and difficult days ahead. We need to prepare our hearts now for what is coming lest it catch us off guard! We need to build our faith to stand under pressure, and we need to build our trust and confidence in Him now to keep us while in tribulation. We will need to settle the matter in our hearts concerning all those things coming on the earth, to lay our lives down at all cost! We will need to prepare our children and loved ones for the day ahead if the Lord tarry.

If the Lord did return today, most would not be ready to evacuate! If he were to delay his coming, most are unprepared for the dark and difficult days ahead. I am afraid for the church! I am afraid many will fall away if the rapture does not occur as expected. I am afraid many are taking this too lightly, thinking they are guaranteed a seat on the rapture express but will be left behind because of complacency and indifference toward Christ and the gospel. Either way you look at it, the church is neither ready to leave, nor ready to go through!”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Curtis Schulze’s new book is a thought-provoking discussion of the power of God and the church’s teachings regarding the rapture.

Schulze encourages readers to truly reflect and determine if they are prepared for Jesus to return and how they can change to better prepare.
