The Fibroid Foundation, a patient-founded nonprofit announces alliances with the LPGA Women’s Network, LPGA Amateur Golf Association and Springboard Enterprise’s Women’s Health Innovation Coalition. Sateria Venable, Founder of The Fibroid Foundation emphasized the significance of these alliances by saying, “Finding dynamic ways to elevate the conversation on women’s health is so important. The LPGA and Springboard are innovative organizations committed to women’s well-being.”

The LPGA Women’s Network and the LPGA Amateur Golf Association:

The LPGA Women’s Network and the LPGA Amateur Golf Association alliance elevates the conversation on women’s health and the need for self-care. The Fibroid Foundation chapters are aligning with the LPGA Women’s Network chapters across the U.S.

“I wanted to partner with the LPGA for many reasons,” said Fibroid Foundation Founder and CEO Sateria Venable. “First, of course, I love golf! It helps with spinal alignment, pelvic flexibility, and exercise—all very important for fibroid patients.”

The first part of the alliance began on April 28th as an informative webinar exclusive to the members of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association, outlining the benefits golf can provide for women’s health as well as providing information about fibroids, which affects the majority of women at some point in their lives. Vice President of LPGA Amateur Golf Association Mary-Lee Cobick stated, “We are proud to align with the Fibroid Foundation to support women’s health through education, informational services, and showing health benefits golf can provide.”

Continuing with the Fibroid Foundation’s efforts, the LPGA Women’s Network and LPGA Amateur Golf Association will provide advice and inspiration for new female golfers to highlight the health benefits of the game and in turn promote golf to members of the Fibroid Foundation through #inviteHER Experiences, LPGA Tournaments, and Women’s Leadership days hosted across the country.

Springboard Enterprises Women’s Health Innovation Coalition:

Med One has experienced substantial growth in the southeastern United States, specifically in North Carolina. In response to this growth, company leadership has made the decision to open a physical location in the Raleigh area.

This new office will provide expanded service to the healthcare providers throughout the state by facilitating local deliveries and pickups and biomedical services from trained and certified technicians. The Morrisville office will be equipped with a variety of equipment to rent, including infusion pumps, feeding pumps, patient monitors, ventilators and respiratory devices, therapy equipment, and beds, and more.

Mohs Surgery is considered the most effective technique for treating basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, the two most common types of skin cancer. Mohs Surgery allows for the removal of all cancerous cells while sparing healthy tissue and leaving the smallest possible scar. “It is commonly recommended for skin cancers in cosmetically sensitive and functionally important areas on the face, scalp, fingers, toes or genitals, and for large, aggressive or rapidly growing cancers.” said Dr. Jessica Dorsey. Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) is also offered as a treatment for actinic keratosis, sometimes referred to as “pre-cancers.”

Packline Materials Announce The Production Of Their New Lifting Equipment With Vertical Spindle Attachment For Handling Narrow Rolls Of Film Or Foil


The Roll Lifter for Handling Narrow Rolls is the ideal solution to increase efficiency and improve health and safety conditions.

New to Packline Materials Handling and Ultrasource LLC, this Roll Handling Equipment is designed to handle a range of narrow rolls of foil or film for rotating and positioning onto a processing or packaging line. Constructed from stainless steel, this roll handling solution is suitable for the food, drinks and pharmaceutical industries.

This Vertical Spindle Attachment was designed in response to a customer requirement to handle a range of narrow rolls with varying widths from 4.72” (120mm) to 17.71” (450mm).

The Vertical Spindle Attachment incorporates a ‘collar block’ to allow for the narrow rolls, ensuring that they are securely held in position. The collar can easily be removed to handle larger rolls.

In addition, serrated fingers on the vertical spindle attachment engage with the roll. The serrated fingers, together with the attachment collar, hold the roll centrally along the vertical spindle.

The rolls are securely gripped by the core. This mechanism has a torque limiter fitted so that the clamping fingers do not over or under tighten in the core. This enables the operator to lift the rolls with complete confidence and safety.

This model has a gearbox with manual handwheel for the rotation to and from the vertical to horizontal orientations. A further handwheel provides the reel gripping and release action.

The attachment has been designed to provide strength, durability as well as improved wear resistance and enhanced ease of use which provides a simple and safe action.

This handling solution is suitable for the food, drinks and pharmaceutical industry and other hygienic applications. Furthermore, it is backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most reels.

All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of Compac lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system.

The lifting capacity is 264lbs (120kg) however larger capacities, and to suit other types and styles of reels with their materials, may be available on request.
