Vitamin Optimization and Hormone Replacement Therapy May Pick Up Where Superfoods Leave Off, Says Revitalize Anti Aging Centers

[ad_1]

Revitalize Anti Aging Centers are based in Encino and serve the entire Greater Los Angeles area.

By ensuring proper levels of critical nutrients through customized treatments, patients often see improvements across the board.

A June 28 article on Consumer Reports covers the extensive benefits of berries, including their many nutritional advantages as well as their surprising anti-aging properties. Among the most noteworthy benefits are berries’ tendency to be filled with essential nutrients and vitamins without containing excessive calories. Specifically, they contain antioxidants and other compounds strongly associated with fighting the physical symptoms of aging. The article says these benefits should put such beloved and versatile fruits as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries near the top of the list for eaters who want to stay as youthful as possible. Encino-based Revitalize Anti Aging Centers says that, while a healthy diet is essential, it’s not always easy to obtain all of the nutrients we can benefit from; moreover, proper nutrition is just one weapon in the youth-preserving arsenal. Thus, strategies such as vitamin optimization and hormone replacement can both make an important difference for people in their middle years and beyond.

Revitalize Anti Aging Centers say that vitamin optimization is a safe and effective way for patients to obtain sufficient levels of needed vitamins and minerals, which can be especially difficult for patients living a hyper-busy lifestyle that may not always allow for a fully rounded diet. Revitalize Anti Aging Centers notes that D and other vitamins play a key role in vital biological processes, including maintaining a healthy immune system and sharp mental focus. Revitalize Anti Aging Centers adds that by ensuring proper levels of critical nutrients through customized treatments, patients often see improvements across the board.

Revitalize Anti Aging Centers says that vitamin optimization is just one tool, however. The age-related symptoms a patient feels may frequently come down to diminishing hormone levels. In cases like this, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy may be a good choice. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, or BHRT, replenishes levels of important hormones such as testosterone and estrogen that regulate areas such as energy level, sex drive, cognitive abilities, weight, and more in men and women. Revitalize Anti Aging Centers says that, while BHRT is not a miracle cure for aging, it can alleviate or slow many of the unwanted effects of aging.

Readers can learn more about Revitalize Anti Aging Centers by visiting its website at https://revitalizeantiaging.com/ or calling (424) 257-2856. The center serves patients hailing from the Greater Los Angeles Area, including Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Santa Monica, and Beverly Hills.

Victory of Light Announces Sale of Expo to Body Mind Spirit Expos

[ad_1]

The highly successful and popular Victory of Light Expo (VOL) has been acquired by Body Mind Spirit Expos (BMSE).

“Hosting the Victory of Light Expo will always be among my greatest accomplishments and joys. I can never adequately thank my staff, the greater Cincinnati community and the many people who helped make the Victory of Light Expo amazing every single time,” said Victory of Light founder Victor Paruta.

Cincinnati’s Victory of Light Expo (VOL) has announced it has been sold to Body Mind Spirit Expos (BMSE) of Ashland, Oregon. BMSE will produce the next Victory of Light Expo which takes place November 20 and 21, 2021, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sharonville Convention Center.

Victory of Light was founded by psychic medium Victor Paruta in 1992 to provide the general public with a venue for experiencing and learning about the holistic and metaphysical arts and sciences. The expo began as a small psychic fair in a hotel ballroom and grew to become greater Cincinnati’s 13th largest convention based on annual attendance, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier, and one of the largest body, mind and spirit events in the country.

“When I produced my first Victory of Light Expo in 1992, I could never have imagined that the expo would become so large,” said Victor Paruta. “I knew the time would come when I’d have to turn the event over to its next caretaker, someone with the skill and experience to run a large event,” Paruta continued. “I have every confidence that BMSE will build upon the excellence of the Victory of Light Expo for many years to come.”

Steve Strickland founded BMSE more than 35 years ago and rapidly expanded in the late 1980s to all of the largest markets in the Pacific Northwest, and in the early 1990s throughout the southeastern states.

“The acquisition of the highly successful Victory of Light Expo will provide BMSE with an established venue in the Cincinnati region,” said Strickland. “Both shows have brought progressive spiritual ideas to the general public for decades and once unusual concepts such as channeling, mediumship, yoga and chakras are now mainstream,” said Strickland. “We look forward to continuing this tradition by bringing the latest products, speakers, and trends in the holistic movement to Cincinnati for years to come,” he continued.

The Victory of Light Expo will continue to take place twice each year, the first or second weekend in April and the weekend before Thanksgiving in November, at the Sharonville Convention Center, 11355 Chester Road, Cincinnati, OH 45246. It will continue to feature the country’s best psychics; healers, and vendors with crystals, jewelry, art, imported clothing, aura photography, and two days of seminars on topics such as astrology, past lives, angels, dream interpretation and meditation.

“Hosting the Victory of Light Expo will always be among my greatest accomplishments and joys. I can never adequately thank my staff, the greater Cincinnati community and the many people who helped make the Victory of Light Expo amazing every single time,” said Paruta.

Paruta is featured on two episodes of “Beyond Belief” (Season 2, Episodes 11 and 13) with host George Noory on Gaia TV, currently available on Amazon Prime Video. Named “Best Psychic” by Cincinnati Magazine for his “mysteriously accurate and compelling readings,” Paruta is a regular guest on radio and television and has been featured in dozens of articles and publications. He has also appeared on ABC’s “The View.” He will continue to do psychic readings, teach and write. His website is https://victorparuta.com.

families cooking and nutrition education. Photo courtesy of Common Threads.

“With each grant cycle, Isagenix helps magnify the impact nonprofits have on communities around the world, which is a tremendous honor.” – Justin Powell, Isagenix chief legal officer and ISA Foundation board member

The latest round of ISA Foundation grants, which total nearly $470,000, will help nonprofits with projects ranging from teaching kids in the United States to cook healthy meals to building and rehabilitating school kitchens in Kenya.

The foundation, which focuses on healthy nutrition and support for underserved children, wellness education for all, aid for those affected by natural disasters, and the pursuit of racial equality, has awarded $468,922 total to 11 U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits. With this sixth round of funding, the foundation operated by Isagenix International has granted more than $4.4 million to nonprofit partners in the U.S. and Canada.

“With each grant cycle, Isagenix helps magnify the impact nonprofits have on communities around the world, which is a tremendous honor,” said Justin Powell, Isagenix chief legal officer and ISA Foundation board member. “We’re grateful to partner with organizations that share our belief that everyone, everywhere deserves to lead a healthy, joyful, and abundant life.”

The latest ISA Foundation grantees include first-time recipient Common Threads. Based in Austin, Texas, the nonprofit provides U.S. children and families cooking and nutrition education to encourage healthy habits that contribute to wellness. Common Threads will use its $90,000 grant to support programs in underserved communities across Chicago, Miami, and Pittsburgh during the 2021-2022 school year and the following summer. The nonprofit expects the funding will help it engage 408-786 students and 132-480 parents and educators.

The programs will be provided in partnership with schools and include:

  • Small Bites: Designed for students in prekindergarten through eighth grade, this in- or after-school program consists of eight to 10 hours of nutrition education. Each lesson includes the preparation and consumption of a healthy snack.
  • Cooking Skills & World Cuisine: Created for students in third through eighth grades and consisting of 10 two-hour classes, this program explores the culture and cuisine of nine countries. Kids learn how to follow a recipe and study food traditions in various countries.
  • Parent Workshops: Designed for parents, this program encourages healthy eating habits at home and in the community at large. Topics include basic nutrition, grocery shopping, and cooking with kids.

Additional Grant Recipients

The ISA Foundation awarded its largest grant, $94,862, to the Unstoppable Foundation. Based in Culver City, California, the nonprofit humanitarian organization brings sustainable education to children and communities in developing countries, thereby creating a safer and more just world for everyone. The Unstoppable Foundation will use the funds in part to build a new school kitchen for the villages of Kadzandani and Ezamoyo in Kenya and to rehabilitate a dilapidated school kitchen in the village of Sosoni in Kenya so it meets national standards. Each kitchen will be used to cook food for the school lunch program.

Isagenix Co-Founders Jim and Kathy Coover are closely connected to the Unstoppable Foundation, having generously donated to the nonprofit for the past decade. The Coovers recently received the Unstoppable Legacy Award in recognition of how their donations have furthered the foundation’s mission to ensure every child has access to the lifelong gift of education.

Additional ISA Foundation grant recipients include:

  • Partnership for a Healthier America: Based in Washington, D.C., the nonprofit’s mission is to leverage the power of the private sector to transform the food landscape in pursuit of health equity. The organization will use the ISA Foundation’s $50,000 grant to launch the COVID-19 Fresh Food Program in affordable housing facilities across New Orleans. The program’s goal is to use fresh produce to kickstart healthy habits while laying the groundwork for sustainable, long-term access to affordable, nutritious foods through food retail.
  • Headwaters Relief Organization: Based in Golden Valley, Minnesota, the nonprofit disaster relief collaboration of volunteers supports the needs of families and communities after disasters. It provides public health, psychosocial, and medical support as well as disaster debris clean-up and rebuilding in partnership with other organizations. Headwaters will use the ISA Foundation’s $35,900 grant to add health and wellness education to its free after-school program for low-income children in the Lower 9th Ward neighborhood, a community devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Arizona-Based Recipients

In its home state of Arizona, Isagenix awarded four grants totaling $75,000:

  • The Delia Foundation: $25,000. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the foundation advocates for the rights of children in Romania and seniors in Arizona, and especially children with disabilities and their right to inclusive education.
  • Creighton Community Foundation: $25,000. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, the nonprofit focuses on equipping Creighton School District in Phoenix with resources to deliver excellent educational services.
  • Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership: $15,000. Based in Phoenix, HELP is working to help restore dignity and hope to the homeless in its community.
  • Future Forward Foundation: $10,000. Based in Florence, Arizona, the nonprofit seeks to reduce poverty, improve the standard of living, and promote the betterment of its community in Pinal County.

For the First Time a Mental Health Professional Wins America’s Favorite Trainer Award; Signaling Importance of Mental Wellness

[ad_1]

BurnAlong

“We’ve all experienced the toll of COVID and the past year and a half, and we’re seeing broad awareness of the importance of mental health alongside physical and emotional wellness. Darlene’s win is a reflection of this broader national need.” Daniel Freedman, Co-CEO of BurnAlong

Today, July 20, 2021, BurnAlong, a leading online health and wellness platform, announces that Coach Darlene Marshall has been voted “America’s Favorite Trainer,” marking the first time a mental health professional has won the annual contest. This reflects the tremendous impact of the pandemic on mental health over the past year, and the transformative role mental health professionals are playing in people’s lives.

“It’s validating for a perspective on fitness that is based in wellness and wellbeing and taking care of the whole self,” Darlene said on her win. “That view is foundational to my whole approach to wellness and fitness. I’m the only personal trainer in the world to have a Master’s degree from UPenn in Positive Psychology. To bring the science of wellbeing into fitness and see people so strongly react to it in an industry that can typically lean superficial…it’s a sign that we are all looking for something deeper, especially in the last year and a half.”

To honor Darlene as this year’s grand prize winner, BurnAlong is making a $1,000 donation per her direction to the Travis Manion Foundation, which designs programs, training opportunities and events to support military veterans and their families.

The “America’s Favorite Trainer” competition celebrates the work of holistic wellness instructors and their impact on hundreds of thousands of lives, across nine core categories, and reflects wellness trends across the country. More than 100 instructors across physical, emotional, and financial wellness categories were nominated, receiving 1,000s of votes and 100s of supportive comments. Voters ranged from high school students to seniors, representing the diversity of users across BurnAlong, and come from employees at companies spanning government, healthcare, retail, sports, tech, and finance.

“BurnAlong extends our congratulations and gratitude to Darlene Marshall and the America’s Favorite Trainer category winners,” says Daniel Freedman, co-CEO of BurnAlong. “We’ve all experienced the toll of COVID and the past year and a half, and we’re seeing growing awareness of the importance of mental health alongside physical and emotional wellness. Darlene’s win is a reflection of this broader national need.”

Johns Hopkins University researchers estimate 26 percent of American adults (aged 18+) suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder each year; annually, 18 percent of adults (18-54) experience anxiety disorders and nearly 10 percent experience a depressive illness for any given year. During the pandemic, the number of those experiencing mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression, increased to nearly 40 percent in 2020.

With limited in-person treatment options in the past year, the demand for virtual mental health support, such as the classes offered by Coach Darlene on BurnAlong’s platform, surged. Specialty categories, including mental health support, stress management, mindfulness, meditation, sleep, and more, grew to a total of 29% of the classes taken via the BurnAlong app. To expand access to critical mental health support, BurnAlong recently partnered with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and their network of more than 10,000 health service psychologists to offer clinical mental health classes to BurnAlong members.

In addition to the overall winner, nine category winners spanning adaptive fitness, financial wellness, nutrition, medical wellness categories are celebrated for their impactful work throughout the past year:
