Navitas and HYPER Deliver the World’s Smallest 100W 4-port Wall Charger

News Image

GaNFast technology enables 45% lower energy loss than the old, slow silicon chargers in the market today, and for the ultimate in portability, at only 208 g it’s 50% lighter than competition too

Navitas Semiconductor today announced its partnership with HYPER by Sanho Corporation to introduce the HyperJuice 100W 4-port charger with GaNFast (Gallium Nitride) power IC technology to achieve the world’s smallest and lightest portable form-factor.

Measuring only 85.3 x 60.8 x 28.9 mm (150 cc) the HyperJuice 100W is powerful enough to charge two 15” Macbooks simultaneously (via the 2x USB-C), with flexibility for two more mobile devices via the additional two USB-A ports.

“We wanted to make the smallest, most flexible 100W charger ever, so the circuit board and components are laid out in the most compact and space-efficient manner using only the industry’s most efficient components that can deliver the best performance,” said Daniel Chin, CEO of HYPER by Sanho Corporation, continuing “GaNFast technology enables 45% lower energy loss than the old, slow silicon chargers in the market today, and for the ultimate in portability, at only 208 g it’s 50% lighter than competition too”.

The 100W HyperJuice uses power-sharing technology to deliver optimal charging to a vast array of multiple devices from watches and air-pod chargers, all the way to a single 100W for the new Apple 16” Macbook. Either of the two USB-C outputs can deliver the maximum 100W as specific by the USB Power Delivery (PD) specification, with the two USB-A sockets providing up to 18W each for lower power, quick-charge or legacy systems. Capable of world-wide AC voltage input, the HyperJuice is supplied with innovative ‘snap-fit’ AC adapters (UK, EU/Korea, AU) to support the international explorer and business traveler without additional bulky, heavy converters.

“As shown by the $1.5M Kickstarter backing, confidence in the 100W HyperJuice is extremely high,” said Gene Sheridan, CEO of Navitas, adding “We are very pleased to provide enabling GaNFast power IC technology as a key part of Sanho’s next-generation charger roadmap. Here come the GaN chargers!”.

What Is the Emotional Footprint Diamond?

The Emotional Footprint Diamond illustrates the customer experience with software vendors and a complex relationship spanning procurement, implementation, service, and support. The Net Emotional Footprint of a vendor is a result of aggregated emotional response ratings in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product from the software users’ point of view. The data published in the Emotional Footprint Diamond is collected from real end users through authentic software review surveys and meticulously verified. The survey uses standard net promoter scoring (positive percentage minus negative percentage) to arrive at the Net Emotional Footprint score. These skillfully crafted survey questions are informed by two decades of IT research and advisory. Vendors with top user scores receive the Emotional Footprint Award. The Emotional Footprint Awards, an initiative proudly founded in 100% user-review data, is free of traditional components such as market presence and analyst opinion, which are opaque in nature and may be influenced by vendor pressure, financial or otherwise.

Radiant Webinar Presents Methods for Visual Performance Testing and Defect Detection in Automotive Curved Displays

Radiant Webinar Presents Methods for Visual Performance Testing and Defect Detection in Automotive Curved Displays

Leveraging high imaging resolution, dynamic optical settings, and an extensive library of software analysis functions, Radiant provides a toolset that can be adapted for a wide range of new testing conditions to evaluate these and other display types making their way into the vehicle.

Radiant Vision Systems, a leading provider of test and measurement solutions for lighting and displays, announces that it will host a webinar to present findings from its lab-based study to evaluate the effectiveness of various methods and system specifications for visual performance testing of automotive curved displays. The webinar, titled “Methods for Measuring Small Defects in Curved Displays: Evaluating Approaches and System Specifications,” will be broadcast live on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST) (1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST)). The broadcast includes a technical presentation by Radiant Sales Engineer, Chris Williamson, followed by a live audience question and answer session.

Curved displays offer manufacturers new design flexibility for vehicle interiors, but also introduce challenges for display measurement. Display test methods developed for traditional flat panel displays are inadequate for accurately evaluating the visual qualities of curved displays, which are affected by view angle changes along their curvature that result in focus and contrast differences from center to edge. A new take on traditional display test methods (components and applications) may be all that is required to ensure curved displays can be quantifiably and objectively measured for visual quality. Through a study of systems and approaches, an effective method can be formalized, and standards can begin to define universal evaluation criteria. This would allow manufacturers to successfully incorporate new display form factors at a level of quality that is consistent with existing expectations.

A leading display test solution provider with over 25 years in light and color metrology, Radiant works with global manufacturers at the forefront of display innovation that includes curved, freeform, and flexible displays—highly anticipated by today’s consumers. Novel implementations of LCD, OLED, and microLED displays, as well substrates like molded or flexible plastic and TFT backplanes, enable new display-based interfaces that take any shape and dimensionality. Leveraging high imaging resolution, dynamic optical settings, and an extensive library of software analysis functions, Radiant ProMetric® Imaging Colorimeters and Photometers provide a toolset that can be adapted for a wide range of new testing conditions to evaluate these and other display types making their way into the vehicle, such as digital cockpits, head-up displays (HUD), instrument clusters, and electronic mirrors.

At Radiant’s upcoming webinar, Sales Engineer Chris Williamson will present the results of several lab tests measuring a 1500R LED-lit curved display using an imaging colorimeter and analysis software to evaluate the effectiveness of various methods and system specifications to optimize the accuracy of defect detection in curved displays. The presentation will include an overview of the effect of display curvature on small defects like pixels and lines, as well as the impact of measurement factors including setup (number of images and analysis regions) and system specifications (resolution and depth of field). Optimal measurement methods are recommended to enable accurate and reliable detection of small defects in curved displays, with considerations for labs and production lines.

KLAS cited Healthcare IT Leaders ERP resources for delivering “consistently high satisfaction”

Healthcare IT Leaders, a trusted provider of IT consulting and workforce solutions for hospitals and health systems, is recognized in the new 2019 ERP Implementation Report by KLAS Research as one of the industry’s leading ERP services firms.

According to KLAS Research, “Organizations that chose Healthcare IT Leaders to complete their ERP implementation were drawn to the firm’s reputation and past performance as well as the quality of their personnel.”

The 2019 ERP Implementation Report assesses the quality of services offered by ERP software vendors and third-party firms and is based on KLAS interviews with healthcare professionals conducted over the past 18 months. The interviews are conducted using a standard quantitative evaluation and select supplemental evaluations.

With an overall performance score of 93.4, Healthcare IT Leaders is “seen as resourceful and reliable in bringing the right supportive resources, including project managers, at competitive rates,” according to the KLAS report.

KLAS also cited Healthcare IT Leaders ERP resources for delivering “consistently high satisfaction” with clients rating our firm 8.7 on a 9-point scale for overall satisfaction.

“Healthcare IT Leaders’ people were able to come in and quickly take over with little to no intervention from my side, and that is what we expect from a vendor. A vendor’s ability to do that is critically important. Atlantic Ultraviolet’s MIGHTY PURE® MP36C 12 GPM and MP49C 20 GPM UV Water Purifiers have been Granted NSF Certification

NSF International Certification Granted to MightyPure UV Water Purifiers.

NSF International Certification Granted to MightyPure UV Water Purifiers.

NSF certification gives our customers – and the public – assurance…”

Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation (AUV) announces receipt of NSF International certification for two of its ultraviolet water purifiers for compliance with NSF/ANSI Standard 55—Ultraviolet Microbiological Water Treatment Systems. With this certification, NSF verifies AUV’s claims that the MIGHTY PURE® MP36C, capable of handling 12 gallons per minute (GPM), and the MIGHTY PURE® MP49C, capable of handling 20 GPM, provides bactericidal treatment of water. The scope of the certification also includes material safety and integrity testing. View AUV’s certification listing at http://info.nsf.org

To shop and see more information about the MIGHTY PURE® product line visit https://www.buyultraviolet.com

Ann Wysocki, COO of Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation states that AUV engineers understand that compliance with NSF’s strict standards provides consumers with value. Wysocki says, “NSF certification gives our consumers — and the public — assurance that the MIGHTY PURE® MP36C and the MIGHTY PURE® MP49C purify their drinking water the way AUV states they do. This certification assures the public that both NSF Disinfection Performance Class B MIGHTY PURE® models have met strict standards. Consumers can trust that correctly installed and maintained models perform as stated.”

In 1944 NSF International formed with the mission to protect and improve global human health. They continue to set the standard for consumer products that affect public health and safety. NSF International is an independent organization accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the International Accreditation Service (IAS). Products granted NSF Certification must pass rigorous initial testing as well as undergo regular re-testing and unannounced on-site inspections. Material safety and structural integrity must pass testing as well.

In compliance with the certification standards, product manuals for the MIGHTY PURE® MP36C and MP49C state: “This Class B system or component conforms to NSF/ANSI 55 for the supplemental bactericidal treatment disinfected public drinking water or other drinking water that has been tested and deemed acceptable for human consumption by the state or local health agency having jurisdiction. The system is only designed to reduce normally occurring non-pathogenic nuisance microorganisms. Class B systems are not intended for the treatment of contaminated water.”

Engineered and manufactured in the USA of type 316 stainless steel and the highest quality materials, all of the MIGHTY PURE® models come with five standard features and numerous optional accessories that provide safe, rapid, and economical water treatment for a variety of applications.

Standard features include:

1. Sight Port Plug – provides visible glow of lamp’s function through a safe-viewing translucent plug

2. Fused Quartz Sleeve – protective and insulating UV lamp housing

3. Drain Plug – enables emptying of water chamber without moving the unit for routine quartz sleeve cleaning

4. Easy Off™ End Cap – cap opens by hand without tools for quick and easy lamp replacement

5. Surelite™ Ballasts – electric and instant start provides high lamp output while using less energy

NSF Certified MIGHTY PURE® MP36C and MP49C models include an additional standard flow control valve that limits water flow through the ultraviolet water purifier to the rated capacity.

MIGHTY PURE® applications include homes, apartments, swimming pools and spas, water wells, cisterns, catchments, aquariums and ponds, hospitals and healthcare centers, food and beverage processing plants, ships, electronics, pharmaceutical facilities, cosmetic manufacturing facilities, restaurants, campgrounds, and recreational vehicles.
