Suite360 Social and Emotional Learning Programs Drive Awards for Marion Public Schools

News Image

Suite360 has helped me be a better principal

The National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators has named Marion Elementary School a 2019 National ESEA Distinguished School. Only 100 schools nationwide received this distinction. This award recognizes Marion Elementary School for outstanding academic achievement.

Marion360 is Marion Public School’s version of Suite360 SEL and Restorative Practices program. The Suite360 platform enables districts and individual K-12 schools to offer a highly immersive content experience that can be tailored to students by grade and reading level. The programs use an array of content features, including short, expert-written topics, engaging and culturally relevant videos, interactive self-tests and social media content. Users complete a required topic weekly, biweekly or monthly, which includes a pre- and post- assessment to determine learning outcomes. Program topics include: bullying/cyberbullying, understanding diversity, stress management, time management, substance abuse, nutrition, academic integrity, depression and many more. The platform delivers new topics throughout the year, via email, SMS and in-app messaging. In addition, users have 24/7 access to a vast content library that they can explore as needed.

Suite360:Intervention allows schools to assign specific modules related to a student’s infraction. This program is used as a supplement or a replacement for detention and suspension. Marion Public Schools uses Suite360:Intervention in their Responsible Thinking Center. Students who commit infractions are assigned to complete Suite360 lessons in the R.T.C., allowing them to learn from their mistakes, and signing a statement pledging to make better decisions going forward.

Marion Public Schools has implemented Suite360 into their school day by carving out time in the morning for Students to complete their assigned SEL lessons while they eat breakfast. “Suite360 has helped me be a better principal” – Chris Arrington, Superintendent/Principal at Marion Public Schools.

Suite360:Parent is the program that schools and districts are using to connect with parents and meet them in the digital world. Principal Chris Arrington from Marion Elementary Schools sends links to the Suite360 lesson that he would like viewed during that week in his weekly parent emails. This parent lesson corresponds to the lesson that students are completing at the same time, allowing consistent language to be used in school and at home. This holistic approach helps parents better understand social & emotional learning and character development so they may better identify and correct risk behaviors, becoming the best possible ally for the school.

See how Marion Public Schools is using Suite360 to educate students and improve their school climate!

AIM to Participate at IPC APEX EXPO on February 4-6, 2020

News Image

AIM Solder, a leading global manufacturer of solder assembly materials for the electronics industry, is pleased to announce their upcoming attendance at IPC APEX EXPO 2020 taking place February 4-6, 2020 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. AIM will highlight their NC273LT low temperature solder paste for bismuth bearing alloys, RX18 and CX18 no clean flux cored solder wire along with their full line of solder assembly materials.

AIM’s NC273LT low temperature solder paste provides assemblers another tool to meet the changing needs of an evolving PCB assembly market. With peak reflow temperatures below 170°C, NC273LT reduces component and substrate warpage, reduces thermal exposure and saves energy. NC273LT paste improves the wetting performance of bismuth alloys to RoHS compliant plating and surface finishes. NC273LT provides long stencil life, excellent transfer efficiencies and minimizes solder balling common to high bismuth alloys. When thermal exposure during the assembly process is a limitation, NC273LT is an excellent RoHS compliant replacement.

AIM’s RX18 and CX18 continue to achieve unprecedented customer acceptance. Engineered for automated/robotic selective soldering, RX18 promotes thermal transfer, fast wetting and reduces voids/skips. Additionally, RX18 is extends solder iron tip life and leaves minimal flux residue. CX18 is an operator friendly, low odor/smoke formula, and speeds soldering performance leaving a clear, electrically safe residue that does not require removal. Further throughput and reliability gains can be realized when CX18 and RX18 are combined with AIM’s REL61™ and REL22™ alloys. REL22 improves product survival in extreme thermal exposure operating environments such as under-hood automotive, avionics/aerospace and LED lighting. REL61 is ideally suited for industries which require a cost effective alternative to SAC305 with no loss of processing performance or durability.

Along with these products, AIM will also showcase its full line of advanced solder materials, including solder paste, liquid flux and solder alloys. Visit AIM at IPC APEX EXPO 2020 in Booth # 2447 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA for more information and to speak with one of AIM’s knowledgeable staff members.

Meridian Celebrates 20 Years of Self-Service Excellence

News Image

It’s amazing how fast the first 20 years have gone by. With those 20 years comes a lot of experience, which has allowed us to not only continue to develop and offer new products and ideas from our company, but help our industry partners develop them as well.

Meridian, an industry leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor kiosks, interactive digital signage, and self-service software is celebrating their 20th anniversary during the month of December.

Meridian’s plans for the occasion include the unveiling of their newly renovated self-service solutions showroom, which will enable visitors to their Aberdeen campus to interact with many of their standard kiosk models in-person, and the release of a new 20th anniversary kiosk line. One model from the new line will be revealed at the National Retail Federation’s “Big Show” in January.

Established in 1999 by Chris Gilder, who remains Meridian’s Owner and CEO to this day, the self-service industry pioneer has seen a great deal of growth both internally and within the industry since its inception two decades ago.

“It’s amazing how fast the first 20 years have gone by,” said Gilder. “With those 20 years comes a lot of experience, which has allowed us to not only continue to develop and offer new products and ideas from our company, but help our industry partners develop them as well.”

Some of those partners encompass the most innovative technology companies in the world—including HP, Samsung, Intel, Arrow, and many others.

“We are fortunate to partner with some of the best and brightest companies in the world,” said Gilder. “As we approach our third decade, we are seeing partnerships—both old and new—take off like never before,” he said.

Gilder attributed much of that momentum to the increased rate at which self-service solutions are being adopted. “The world is embracing technology more than ever before—especially when it comes to self-service solutions,” he said.

Meridian is no stranger to growth, though. In fact, they have experienced a great deal of it just within the past year. Throughout 2019 the company invested in more advanced fabrication equipment, grew their fabrication and assembly facilities, and expanded internationally into the United Kingdom—and that growth doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

“We expect to continue to grow significantly in the next few years as self-service solutions are adopted at a rate exceeding anything like what we’ve seen in the past,” said Gilder.
