XIMEA Releases 8K Industrial Camera Able to Stream 70 Fps to Production

XIMEA's latest PCIe camera

XIMEA’s latest PCIe camera

The 8K consists of 9344 x 7000 which is the world’s highest resolution sensor with Global shutter.

The well-known high-speed camera line from XIMEA called xiB-64 already includes fast models ranging from 1 Mpix at 3600 Fps to 16 Mpix at 300 Fps. The name of the new addition is CB654 and it offers 65 Megapixels at a remarkable data rate of 70 frames per second when streaming at 10 Bits of RAW image format.

CB654 is utilizing GMAX3265, the latest CMOS sensor from Gpixel which has picture parameters close to sCMOS performance. The 8K consists of 9344 x 7000 which is the world’s highest resolution sensor with Global shutter. The sCMOS level of picture quality is reflected in low noise and Dark current of 2e-/s that makes the cameras suitable for both industrial as well as demanding scientific applications.

There are various grades of GMAX3265 available and XIMEA is capable to supply multiple camera versions to provide different levels of quality and prices. For overall heat dissipation reduction and even better noise results, the cameras are equipped with a fan cooler which can be removed and replaced with a heatsink or water cooling system.

Such high grade sensor deserves an equally impressive interface and it finds this in the face of PCI Express Gen3 with the bandwidth of 64 Gbits and real data throughput of 7000 MB/s – or more than any other conventional industrial camera can compete with. This comes without the need for bulky and expensive frame grabbers or special software.

Additional benefits of PCIe interface are Direct memory access (DMA) with low CPU load and practically zero latency. The cable length can reach up to 300m with fiber optic and bonus GPIO connectors ensure triggering and synchronization. Supplied active EF-mount lens interface enables remote control of aperture, focus and image stabilization. All in a robust housing of 60 x 70 x 40 mm and 250 grams.

Applications examples cover: Flat panel inspection, printed circuit board (PCB) examination, persistent stadium and border security, wide area surveillance, 360 panorama, cinematography, instant replays, Virtual and Augmented reality (VR, AR), Sports imaging and broadcasting, motion capture and aerial or city mapping.

OASIS Mobility to offer GPS Lockbox Cases and Mounts on the Geotab Marketplace

OASIS Mobility on the Geotab Marketplace

Having the right cases and mounts for proper security and all-season utility of the devices is almost as important as the device itself.

OASIS Mobility is proud to announce the availability of GPS Lockbox® Cases and Mounts on the Geotab Marketplace, a growing portfolio of mobile apps, hardware Add-Ons and software Add-Ins that enable Geotab customers to better manage their fleets.

“The Geotab Marketplace is a dynamic solutions center for fleet management,” said Matt Evans, VP of Sales and Distribution for OASIS Mobility. “We are delighted to offer our solutions, including GPS Lockbox cases, to the Geotab ecosystem.”

GPS Lockbox cases offer a unique design to help support compliance with ELD regulations and provide fleets with a reliable solution for in-cab technology. Via the Geotab Marketplace, OASIS Mobility now offers Geotab customers a one-stop source to procure cases and receive expert assistance with managing various facets of mobile device equipment and accessories, helping customers achieve a work-ready solution for their mobility program.

Manufactured to support mobile device equipment in a variety of circumstances, including weather and drop protection, GPS Lockbox cases provide a safeguard in extreme temperatures, which can be a major issue for ELD tablets. When the temperature is either too cold or too warm, the device may automatically shut down to protect itself, presenting a potential problem for fleets that rely on working ELDs to remain compliant. The patent-pending ATMOS® temperature-regulating cradle helps keep tablets from freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer, helping to ensure fleets remain compliant, no matter the temperature.

In addition to the unique ATMOS® temperature controlling cradle which sustains the tablet or phone’s normal temperature range, GPS Lockbox cases and mounts also include a magnetic quick connect charging port, which safely secures the device when away from the vehicle.

“Having the right cases and mounts for proper security and all-season utility of the devices is almost as important as the device itself,” added Lance Merklein, Senior Vice-President – Mobile Fleet Solutions for OASIS and former VP Safety and Risk Management for Cardinal Logistics. “GPS Lockbox’s various case and mount configurations allow for optimal field use and functionality. Plus, the magnetic charging feature alone aids in preventing disruptions to the power and ELD source connection, helping to mitigate log documentation and DataQ challenge issues.”

With OASIS Mobility, Geotab customers can purchase tablets, smartphones, cases and all other accessories without having to travel to a wireless carrier store. OASIS integrates an entire solution for the logistics industry by providing a bundle of all hardware needed to go with a tablet or smartphone.

Agrowing Releases the World’s Best AI-Enabling Multispectral Sensor for Agricultural Surveys, with 14 Narrow Bands of 8 Megapixel per Band

Agrowing 14 band sextuple lens mulispectral sensor

“Growers need actionable data. Agrowing’s new sensor enables accurate identification of pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and weeds’ type, using AI machine learning and classification.”

Agrowing Ltd., a world leading provider of AI-Enabling multispectral sensors, announces the addition of the world’s best multispectral sensor to its line of sensors.

The sextuple-lens sensor acquires 14 narrow spectral bands of 10nm to 30nm bandwidth and 8 Megapixel per band, providing imagery of 1.7cm per pixel ground resolution from 100m altitude, and 0.5mm per pixel from 3m altitude.

Agrowing’s line of sensors is unique in its ability to acquire aligned multispectral data from both low and high altitudes.

The new 14 band sextuple lens of the sensor provides unprecedented 6 red bands from 650nm to 850nm, 4 green band and 4 blue ones. Agrowing’s US and EU patented sensor design utilizes Sony’s Alpha 7Riv modified full spectrum camera body, and its outstanding Full-Frame 61.2MP CMOS sensor, combined with high-end multi bandpass filters. The sensors avoids the crucial limitations of the state-of-the-art multi-camera sensors, by having low distortion 21.6mm focal depth optics of fixed F5.6, combined with the sensor’s superior dynamic range, single mechanical shutter, and innovative sub-pixel accurate continuous digital alignment of the spectral bands.

“Agrowing’s sensors were designed to meet the needs of autonomous surveys and spraying,” said Ira Dvir Co-Founder and CEO of Agrowing. “”Growers need actionable data. Agrowing’s new sensor enables accurate identification of pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and weeds’ type, using AI machine learning and classification. Our sensors provide the best by far NDVI maps, but with ground resolutions of 4cm per pixel and poor dynamic range, and even with our 1.7cm per pixel and great dynamic range, one cannot identify if a potato field is infected with Alternaria, Blight, or Colorado Beetle. Growers need actionable data, which enables them to match the right spraying chemicals to the specific weeds found in a wheat or a sugarcane field. The new sensor enables it.”

In October 2019, Agrowing’s Quad-lens 12 band sensor of 4 red bands, won the press award as one of the three innovative products of the Commercial UAV Expo Americas. https://tinyurl.com/yhz5mu89

Agrowing collaborates with academic institutes around the globe, like the Rochester Institute of Technology and UNESP (Sao Paulo), with the goal of enhancing its line of products and provide service providers with the best multispectral sensor for fast and accurate AI identification of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.

Enabling A service, which allows growers and agronomists to have definite actionable data, without having to go and check in the field, is not an advantage, but a revolution.

With it 4 blue bands from 405nm to 490nm and 4 green bands from 525nm to 570nm, the sensor present opportunities far beyond field crops, and is suitable also for marine agriculture and many other applications.

New InstallAware X12 Enables Ethereum (ETH) Payments to Setup Developers; Records Purchases on the Blockchain, Monetizes Apps With Cryptocurrency, Grows Their Top-Line.

InstallAware for Windows Installer, MSI, MSIX, EXE, App-V, APPX, Virtualization

InstallAware for Windows Installer, MSI, MSIX, EXE, App-V, APPX, Virtualization

“Microsoft is excited to see InstallAware build on their rich 16 year history of installer tools with their extensive MSIX support including ARM64 and MSIX Core,” says Kevin Gallo, Head of Developer Platform, Microsoft.

InstallAware Software, the technology leader in software installation, repackaging, and virtualization solutions for application builders and enterprises, is launching InstallAware X12 on Friday this week. InstallAware is the most flexible platform for traditional and agile development teams creating Windows and Azure software installers, as well as MSIX, APPX, Microsoft App-V Virtualization, agentless/royalty-free InstallAware Virtualization packages, and decentralized setups.

InstallAware X12 is the now the first and only setup platform with a decentralized, peer to peer payment system, integrated at install time. Setups built with InstallAware may now automatically award royalties to their developers when purchases are made securely and discreetly within the setup wizard, using the Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrency. Using InstallAware’s Smart Contract authored in Solidity, funds are instantly transferred to the developer’s wallet, directly from the end-user wallet, without third-party trust.

Re-installations are a breeze for past purchases, as they are instantly looked up on the ETH blockchain. First time purchases themselves are processed in fifteen seconds or less, competitive with the processing speeds involved with most traditional banking systems, such as that of many major credit cards.

The entire process happens directly on end-user Desktops, without ever launching a separate web browser, or requiring bulky application frameworks such as Electron. InstallAware setups, being fully light-weight and self-contained, have always run on all Windows versions without any brittle runtime dependencies; this flexibility and independence is now in the service of the decentralized, global blockchain payment system.

InstallAware X12 also empowers globally distributed development, with support for Microsoft Azure DevOps, featuring a brand-new Team Project Explorer; which is of critical import in these times of global uncertainty, and a transition to “work from home” ethos for most corporations worldwide.

InstallAware X12 also beefs up security for payloads it downloads on demand at install time. Referred to as “Web Media Blocks”, these bits are now all securely code signed with Microsoft Authenticode technology. As they are downloaded from decentralized Torrent files/Magnet links (or traditional web servers, corporate networks, or even the FTP protocol), these bits are then verified to have been signed by the original setup author (re-signing by a malicious actor using a different certificate than the one originally used is detected successfully). Where this verification fails, setup automatically moves to the next redundant download source, without even requiring manual intervention by the end-user. This is yet another benefit automatically enjoyed by all InstallAware setups, in addition to its self-contained engine.

About InstallAware Software

InstallAware Software, founded in 2003, is the leading Cloud Infrastructure Company with its laser sharp focus on bullet-proof enterprise software deployment. InstallAware has been recognized by multiple awards coming from Microsoft, SDTimes “Leader of the Software Development Industry”, Visual Studio Magazine Reader’s Choice, ComponentSource, WindowsITPro, among other recognition. InstallAware X12 is available in a free edition for all Visual Studio users and paid editions with prices starting at $329. About EVEX Hospitals

EVEX Hospitals and EVEX clinics are organized in specific geographical clusters to provide medical services and high-quality care to the largest range of patients through:

  • polyclinics – offering outpatient services;
  • community clinics – offering broader outpatient services and a limited range of inpatient healthcare services; and

4 Simple Steps for Disinfecting Laser Tech, Inc. Products

Laser Tech, Inc. (LTI) laser-based tools are sometimes used by the same person, and often shared among co-workers daily. Now, more than ever, it is important to take time to clean them properly – keeping everyone using these tools safe.

Travis Emsbach, Service Manager at LTI, walks us through the 4 steps LTI uses to disinfect products prior to entering the repair process. You can see the video, here. By following Federal and CDC recommended guidelines, this helps protect our employees involved in the service process. These simple steps are easy for product owners to follow and will clean and disinfect any LTI laser-based tools. A great way to keep your staff safe from potentially harmful germs!

LTI’s Disinfecting and Cleaning Process

Step 1: If the product is in its original case, the case is sprayed and disinfected using Lysol disinfectant spray. (Both soft and hard cases)

Step 2: The product is then removed from its case and wiped down using a cleaning disinfectant wipe. (Lysol, Clorox, CaviWipes). If using a Lysol spray, it is best to spray a microfiber cloth and then wipe down the product with the cloth.

NOTES:

  • Avoid spraying the product directly.
  • The full line of LTI products can safely be wiped down with any over-the-counter disinfectant wipes.

Step 3: Pay attention to grips, keypad/ buttons, and eyepieces. You may wipe down lenses to disinfect, but then clean and dry lenses with a clean cloth or lens tissue.

Step 4: After cleaning the product, wash your hands thoroughly.

  • Following these steps ensure that the product is disinfected prior to entering our repair process.

Once the repair has been completed, the product is wiped down again using these 4 simple steps prior to being repackaged and returned to the customer.

By following these 4 steps at the beginning and end of every work shift with LTI products, users can keep themselves and others safe from the spread of disease and illness.
