3D Printers Getting Popular on Kickstarter, Creality CR-6 SE Got a Total Pledge of Over $4.3 Million

[ad_1]

Creality, a Chinese 3D printer manufacturer, announced its first Kickstarter campaign for its latest FDM DIY 3D printer—-CR-6 SE, featuring an innovative auto bed leveling tech to provide users the most hassle-free 3D printing, on May 6th. With overwhelmed response from the global 3D printing community, Creality CR-6 SE achieved quite a success with a total pledge of over $4.3 million by 10,401 backers. Probe into more details about the Creality CR-6 SE Kickstarter campaign:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1001939425/creality-cr-6-se-leveling-free-diy-3d-printer-kit

CR-6 SE is born during the situation of COVID-19 when 3D printing has got a real surge for making it possible to harness 3D printing to make personal protective equipment at anytime and anywhere. The potential of 3D printers has convinced people of the practicability of 3D printing technology, leading more people to get involved in learning and using 3D printers in their daily life. At this point, Creality came up with an idea of releasing CR-6 SE, which makes bed leveling no longer an issue in 3D printing, aiming to provide users the most hassle-free 3D printing.

Designed to be workhorse 3D printer for those who define creativity, Creality CR-6 SE boasts a print volume of 235x235x250mm, it is capable of printing with various kinds of filament including PLA, TPU, PETG, wood, and more. Featuring an innovative auto-leveling device, CR-6 SE achieves more accurate bed leveling via strain gauge than BL-Touch and other physical sensors, which is helpful for greatly improving bed adhesion and print quality.

On CR-6 SE is utilizing the Trinamic 2208 for precise motion and silent printing under 50dB. Moreover, CR-6 SE enables users to get fine results on its Carborundum glass platform. Compared to BuildTak-like heated build plate or magnetic bed, the Carborundum glass hotbed has better performance in thermal conductivity and adhesion. Therefore, 3D prints that come out from the CR-6 SE even have a smooth surface and fine texture on its first layer.

In addition, CR-6 SE is having a modularized nozzle for encouraging ease in nozzle maintenance and tinkering, ergonomic extruder for effortless filament feed-in. It makes it possible for quality printing performance and effortless nozzle maintenance. From the nozzle tip to Teflon tube, this is a user-friendly 3D printer that is easy to keep.

As a really easy to use 3D printer, CR-6 SE is of modularized design coming in 5 different parts, which only requires 5 mins to finish assembly. The most trouble-free 3D printing is starting on a hassle-free CR-6 SE right out of the box!

On June 5th, the project came to an end with great success. During all these days, Creality has received numerous customers’ opinions and advices which are quite helpful for making improvements in product development. To meet the customers’ demands, Creality unlocked 3 stretch goals, which included upgrading 8-bit motherboard to 32-bit mother, adding 10 more nozzles and one piece of 0.4m PTFE tube as free spare parts, upgrading TMC-2208 motion driver to TMC-2209 motion drive. Moreover, the company also provided an upgraded version CR-6 Max with a larger print volume of 400x400x400mm for catering people for making huge 3D printed projects.

CR-6 SE is such a simple and robust 3D printer featuring an intelligent leveling-free system for superior accuracy, making it a reliable choice that both hobbyists and pros can trust. Attaining such a craze buzz on Kickstarter, CR-6 SE will officially debut the retail market in July with a price tag of $429. Check more information on CR-6 SE in the link below:

Kenall Expands Virtually Impenetrable Correctional Luminaire Family with New Wall-Mount Fixtures

[ad_1]

The dual-aperture, Mighty Mac WCBS has a bullnose profile and a doorless design for maximum safety.

The progress made in LED technology in recent years minimizes lighting maintenance and this, in turn, dramatically reduces inmate disruption, which protects everyone’s well-being.

Recently, Kenall Manufacturing introduced a series of four Mighty Mac® correctional luminaires that are virtually impenetrable, with no access points of any kind. Created specifically to keep staff and inmates safe, these luminaires are impervious to vandalism and contraband concealment. Now this series is expanding to include two new wall-mount luminaires; the dual-aperture Mighty Mac® WCBS and the single-aperture WCBHS.

While Kenall is known for extremely secure and durable correctional lighting solutions, but a customer request challenged engineers to create a luminaire with an enhanced level of protection for staff and inmates. The resulting fixture design eliminates the door, replacing it with a heavy-duty housing manufactured from a single piece of steel, preventing entry once the light fixture is installed. Long-life LEDs provide years of service-free illumination, and lenses are made of the toughest materials available and kept in place with a special bracket system fastened to the housing with through-studs. The entire fixture is secured to the wall or ceiling surface with 6 high-security bolts.

As with all Kenall Mighty Mac luminaires, personal safety is the number one priority for Kenall’s design team: “We were asked to create a unique luminaire that prevented access, unless completely removed,” said Tim Stevens, Kenall Product Manager. “The engineers really came through for the correctional community. The progress made in LED technology in recent years minimizes lighting maintenance and this, in turn, dramatically reduces inmate disruption, which protects everyone’s well-being,” Stevens concluded.

These unique Mighty Mac luminaires smaller housing is optimized for cells, making them less intrusive. The first of their kind, these new fixtures introduce an unprecedented level of security for both staff and inmates.

Prestige Maintenance USA Adds Another CIMS Green Building to Their Client List

[ad_1]

Prestige Maintenance USA announced that another CIMS-Green Building was added to their client list. The additional CIMS Green Building client, a manufacturing company, joins Offices@Mall of America in Minneapolis and other CIMS Green Building facilities that are clients of Prestige. Compliance with the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (GB) certification standard shows that a cleaning organization has the systems in place to deliver consistent, professional services designed to meet customer needs and expectations and is prepared to deliver a comprehensive green cleaning program based on LEED EB: O&M green cleaning criteria. CIMS and CIMS-GB certification are required in many cleaning service bid specifications as customers look for an effective way to identify high-quality providers committed to customer satisfaction. Prestige Maintenance USA recertifies every two years showing consistent compliance to the standard.

Manufacturing facilities are increasingly seeking LEED green building certification, according to a US Green Building Council report. LEED in Motion: Industrial Facilities report highlights the manufacturing sector’s efforts to design and implement LEED and prioritize environmental stewardship. Currently, there are more than 1,755 LEED-certified industrial facilities worldwide, totaling more than 496 million square feet, and an additional 2,710 projects registered that total nearly 737 million square feet. Why this boost in more sustainable manufacturing facilities? Because green buildings save money for owners and operators.

“The clients we work with have high standards, and this certification helps us communicate to them that we are able to meet and exceed their standards of excellence. Our processes and procedures ensure that every team member across the country can deliver for our clients, including LEED EB green cleaning criteria,” says Rachel Sanchez, CEO of Prestige Maintenance USA. “Mall of America® is committed to sustainable energy initiatives through best operational practices, cutting edge technology and long-term investments,” she added.

“Our use of technology and analytics gives us an edge in maintaining our high standards. Our clients get access to monthly inspections online in addition to the ability to communicate changes or needs to us. We know that our reputation depends on reliability and excellence, and we take it very seriously,” according to Jason Dinverno, Managing Partner and CXO at Prestige Maintenance USA.

Vertebrae Launches Retail’s First Web-Based Virtual Try-On with Accurate Size & Scale

[ad_1]

Using Vertebrae, we can create, manage, and deploy high-quality 3D and AR experiences that are more realistic than ever, enabling shoppers to virtually experience wearing our hats with a high degree of accuracy. – Carson Finkle, CEO of Tenth Street Hats.

Vertebrae, the technology leader in 3D & augmented reality (AR) solutions for retail, today announced the debut of a powerful new tool for retailers that enables shoppers to virtually try on items with the highest degree of accuracy – all within the mobile browsing experience. For the first time, digital items such as sunglasses, hats, jewelry, and apparel can be superimposed onto a shopper’s head or body at the precise size and scale that the products are in real life, so that each individual can see precisely how it looks on them – all without going into a physical store or downloading an app. These breakthrough web-based try-on experiences ensure that Vertebrae and its clients are at the forefront of retail’s transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Now more than ever, it’s crucial for retailers to help boost consumers’ confidence, and that means setting them at ease about purchasing and giving them accurate information about size and fit — even without physical changing rooms,” said Vince Cacace, CEO of Vertebrae. “This is the perfect solution for shoppers who want to see and experience a product, but don’t necessarily feel comfortable going into a store to try them on. And because our solution is Web-based, retailers can deploy these virtual try-on experiences in any digital channel, all through a single platform.”

Vertebrae’s patented 3D and AR platform makes creating, managing, and deploying frictionless accurate size and scale experiences possible. For accurate size and scale experiences, Vertebrae uses data from smartphones with front-facing depth cameras to dynamically map the proportions of individual facial features and overlay accurate product renderings to scale and in the right position, even as shoppers move around to view the results from different angles. The experience debuted on direct-to-consumer retailer Tenth Street Hats, which offers shoppers the ability to virtually try on top-selling hats directly from the eCommerce experience on mobile. Shoppers on desktop computers or older mobile phones without a front-facing depth camera still receive a highly engaging AR experience that provides a confidence-boosting style check, but not precisely to size and scale.

“Using Vertebrae, we can create, manage, and deploy high-quality 3D and AR experiences that are more realistic than ever, enabling shoppers to virtually experience wearing our hats with a high degree of accuracy,” said Carson Finkle, CEO of Tenth Street Hats. “The assets are available for deployment across the Web, not just in custom apps, giving our customers broad access to the tools that motivate purchasing without needing a dedicated team of developers. ”

The 3D and AR experiences are accessible via Tenth Street’s home page and via product pages, so viewers never leave the shopping environment during the virtual try-on session, which instantaneously sizes and displays items in proportion to shoppers’ heads without needing reference objects such as rulers or credit cards in the camera frame.

About Vertebrae

Vertebrae provides 3D & augmented reality (AR) commerce solutions for the world’s largest retailers. Vertebrae’s technology enables web-based 3D & AR product visualization and try-on experiences that drive measurable results. The end-to-end platform makes the process of 3D asset creation, management, deployment, and reporting easy. Vertebrae’s clients include Adidas, Toyota, Crate & Barrel, Herschel Supply Co., Facebook, Coach, Microsoft, and many more. Vertebrae is headquartered in Santa Monica with offices in Austin.
