Prestige Maintenance USA Adds Another CIMS Green Building to Their Client List

Prestige Maintenance USA announced that another CIMS-Green Building was added to their client list. The additional CIMS Green Building client, a manufacturing company, joins Offices@Mall of America in Minneapolis and other CIMS Green Building facilities that are clients of Prestige. Compliance with the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (GB) certification standard shows that a cleaning organization has the systems in place to deliver consistent, professional services designed to meet customer needs and expectations and is prepared to deliver a comprehensive green cleaning program based on LEED EB: O&M green cleaning criteria. CIMS and CIMS-GB certification are required in many cleaning service bid specifications as customers look for an effective way to identify high-quality providers committed to customer satisfaction. Prestige Maintenance USA recertifies every two years showing consistent compliance to the standard.

Manufacturing facilities are increasingly seeking LEED green building certification, according to a US Green Building Council report. LEED in Motion: Industrial Facilities report highlights the manufacturing sector’s efforts to design and implement LEED and prioritize environmental stewardship. Currently, there are more than 1,755 LEED-certified industrial facilities worldwide, totaling more than 496 million square feet, and an additional 2,710 projects registered that total nearly 737 million square feet. Why this boost in more sustainable manufacturing facilities? Because green buildings save money for owners and operators.

“The clients we work with have high standards, and this certification helps us communicate to them that we are able to meet and exceed their standards of excellence. Our processes and procedures ensure that every team member across the country can deliver for our clients, including LEED EB green cleaning criteria,” says Rachel Sanchez, CEO of Prestige Maintenance USA. “Mall of America® is committed to sustainable energy initiatives through best operational practices, cutting edge technology and long-term investments,” she added.

“Our use of technology and analytics gives us an edge in maintaining our high standards. Our clients get access to monthly inspections online in addition to the ability to communicate changes or needs to us. We know that our reputation depends on reliability and excellence, and we take it very seriously,” according to Jason Dinverno, Managing Partner and CXO at Prestige Maintenance USA.

Vertebrae Launches Retail’s First Web-Based Virtual Try-On with Accurate Size & Scale

Using Vertebrae, we can create, manage, and deploy high-quality 3D and AR experiences that are more realistic than ever, enabling shoppers to virtually experience wearing our hats with a high degree of accuracy. – Carson Finkle, CEO of Tenth Street Hats.

Vertebrae, the technology leader in 3D & augmented reality (AR) solutions for retail, today announced the debut of a powerful new tool for retailers that enables shoppers to virtually try on items with the highest degree of accuracy – all within the mobile browsing experience. For the first time, digital items such as sunglasses, hats, jewelry, and apparel can be superimposed onto a shopper’s head or body at the precise size and scale that the products are in real life, so that each individual can see precisely how it looks on them – all without going into a physical store or downloading an app. These breakthrough web-based try-on experiences ensure that Vertebrae and its clients are at the forefront of retail’s transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Now more than ever, it’s crucial for retailers to help boost consumers’ confidence, and that means setting them at ease about purchasing and giving them accurate information about size and fit — even without physical changing rooms,” said Vince Cacace, CEO of Vertebrae. “This is the perfect solution for shoppers who want to see and experience a product, but don’t necessarily feel comfortable going into a store to try them on. And because our solution is Web-based, retailers can deploy these virtual try-on experiences in any digital channel, all through a single platform.”

Vertebrae’s patented 3D and AR platform makes creating, managing, and deploying frictionless accurate size and scale experiences possible. For accurate size and scale experiences, Vertebrae uses data from smartphones with front-facing depth cameras to dynamically map the proportions of individual facial features and overlay accurate product renderings to scale and in the right position, even as shoppers move around to view the results from different angles. The experience debuted on direct-to-consumer retailer Tenth Street Hats, which offers shoppers the ability to virtually try on top-selling hats directly from the eCommerce experience on mobile. Shoppers on desktop computers or older mobile phones without a front-facing depth camera still receive a highly engaging AR experience that provides a confidence-boosting style check, but not precisely to size and scale.

“Using Vertebrae, we can create, manage, and deploy high-quality 3D and AR experiences that are more realistic than ever, enabling shoppers to virtually experience wearing our hats with a high degree of accuracy,” said Carson Finkle, CEO of Tenth Street Hats. “The assets are available for deployment across the Web, not just in custom apps, giving our customers broad access to the tools that motivate purchasing without needing a dedicated team of developers. ”

The 3D and AR experiences are accessible via Tenth Street’s home page and via product pages, so viewers never leave the shopping environment during the virtual try-on session, which instantaneously sizes and displays items in proportion to shoppers’ heads without needing reference objects such as rulers or credit cards in the camera frame.

LiteSheet Solutions Launches LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet

The LiteSheet LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet optimally positions germ and virus killing UV-C LED modules inside the cabinet eliminating blind spots and sanitizing contents within minutes.

The LiteSheet LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet is designed to decontaminate potentially deadly bacteria and viruses, like the COVID19 virus.

By harnessing the power of UV-C light, we are able to kill 99.99% of viruses and bacteria, including the deadly COVID19 virus that is currently causing health and safety concerns globally.

Virginia-based LiteSheet Solutions is leading the way in the current COVID19 sanitization battle. The company is offering an innovative LED UV-C sanitizing cabinet that is designed to decontaminate potentially deadly bacteria and viruses, like the COVID19 virus.

“By harnessing the power of UV-C light, we are able to kill 99.99% of viruses and bacteria, including the deadly COVID19 virus that is currently causing health and safety concerns globally,” said Roger Whyte, President and CEO of LiteSheet Solutions, “Unfortunately, this pandemic is the first wave of what may be many more and the LiteSheet UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet provides comfort by helping to make workplace tools, medical and personal items, and office equipment safe and hazard-free.”

By optimally positioning germ and virus killing UV-C LED modules inside the cabinet to eliminate blind spots, contents are sanitized within minutes. The germicidal effects of UV light are well known and medically researched. UV-C light wavelengths between 200 and 280 nanometers are used as against bacteria, molds, and virus.

Micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses, cysts and mold are simple lifeforms that reproduce by subdivision, budding or by producing spores. Reproduction of these organisms is vital to their lifecycles and loss of their ability to grow and multiply is classified as cellular death and renders them harmless and no longer pathogenic. The LiteSheet LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet quickly and efficiently disrupts the lifecycle of bacteria and viruses, like COVID19.

“When exposing micro-organisms to UVC light, the light penetrates through their cell walls and disrupts the structure of their DNA molecules, prohibiting reproduction. Because UV sanitization does not rely on chemicals or filtration materials, it can be used effectively and safely,” said Todd Hodrinsky, LiteSheet Solutions founder and chief technology innovations officer.

Additional safety features include a digital timer and an interlock cabinet door to ensure the UV-C modules cannot be powered on until the cabinet door is securely closed. Front panel controls include On-Off Power, timer control, door interlock, in use LED indicator and emergency stop for door open.

  • 120VAC cord with plug, 60Hz
  • Includes LEDs, which are longer lasting compared to mercury vapor tubes
  • Solid state LEDs, are stable in motion and vibration environments
  • Focused LED lensing for optimal power irradiation
  • Environmentally friendly, no harmful mercury as found in tubes
  • Specific UV-C wavelength for virus sterilization
  • 1-Year Warranty
  • UL 61010-1 Certification
  • FCC Part 15 Compliant

The LiteSheet LED UV-C Sanitizing cabinet has the following size and weight specifications:

  • Overall: (H) 25″ x (W) 18.25″ x D 19.25″
  • Opening: (H) 19″ x (W) 12″
  • Inside: (H) 18″ x (W) 18″ x (D) 18″
  • Weight: 50 lbs
  • Material: Mill finished aluminum

“All LiteSheet products are manufactured in Virginia with both US and imported parts to the highest specifications,” added Whyte, “The LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet offers health and safety solutions for users backed by American-made reliability.”

For more information on the LED UV-C Sanitizing Cabinet visit: https://www.litesheet.com/product/uv-c-sanitizing-cabinet/

FDA Guidance

The FDA guidance for LiteSheet’s sanitation cabinet in response to COVID-19 is as follows. LiteSheet’s cabinet is recognized in Section B (2) as an Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfecting Device. Therefore, the LiteSheet sanitation cabinet does not require FDA approval for market in response to COVID-19

“In addition, during the declared public health emergency, FDA does not intend to object to the distribution and use of sterilizers, disinfectant devices, and air purifiers that are intended to be effective at killing the SARS-CoV-2 virus but do not already have FDA marketing authorization, without compliance with the following regulatory requirements where such devices do not create an undue risk in light of the public health emergency: prior submission of a premarket notification under section 510(k) of the FD&C Act and 21 CFR 807.81 or submission of a PMA Supplement under section 515 of the FD&C Act and 21 CFR 814.39, Registration and Listing requirements in 21 CFR 807, and Unique Device Identification requirements in 21 CFR 830 and 21 CFR 801.20. FDA believes such devices will not create such an undue risk where the performance and labeling elements in Sections IV.A and IV.B, respectively, are met. As an example, this would apply to a manufacturer of a new medical air purifier that has not been approved or cleared and that is effective in filtering out dust particles and bacteria, where the manufacturer would like to modify the filter mesh size in order to filter out viruses, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus.”

Further, as described under Section A. Performance guidance the LiteSheet cabinet will meet the design, evaluation, and validation of performance relevant to the enforcement policies set forth in the document.
