Cybriant Announces CMMC Service for DoD Contractors

CMMC level 1-5 description

Cybriant can provide the guidance and operational resources to demystify the preparation process and ultimately achieve CMMC certification. Jason Hill, Director of Strategic Services

Cybriant, a leader in cybersecurity services, today announced a new service to prepare Department of Defense contractors for the upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

Beginning in the fall of 2020, CMMC compliance will be a prerequisite for all new contracts including every prime and subcontractor for the Department of Defense. Any contractor storing or transmitting controlled unclassified information (CUI) will need to achieve Level 3 compliance.

The Department of Defense has defined 5 levels of CMMC compliance, each with a set of supporting practices and processes. To meet a specific level, each contractor must meet the practices and processes within that level and below. The Department of Defense has released the following descriptions of each level of CMMC:

Level 1: Basic Cybersecurity

Level 2: Inclusive of universally accepted cybersecurity best practices

Level 3: Coverage of all NIST 800-171 rev 1 controls

Level 4: Advanced and sophisticated cybersecurity practices

Level 5: Highly advanced cybersecurity practices

Cybriant is aligned with the new CMMC guidelines and is knowledgeable of all the latest updates concerning CMMC. Our services are mapped to fully account for CMMC requirements levels 1 through 5 and can assist with CMMC certification efforts.

With the coming mandate of CMMC, many companies may be struggling to address the various requirements within the model. Many things have changed between the current standard NIST SP 800-171r1 and CMMC which will require a great deal of work for current contractors.

Cybriant can enable contractors to bridge the gap of missing security controls to help them quickly and efficiently become compliant. Contractors can rely on Cybriant’s strategic and managed services to ensure their security and satisfy CMMC compliance requirements.

While the CMMC Accreditation Board-Certified Auditors is pre-launch, Cybriant has taken the necessary steps to become a Third-Party Assessment Organization (3CPAO) when the program becomes functional in order to assist contractors’ preparation for the upcoming audits.

“CMMC is still in flux and there is a great deal of misinformation,” said Jason Hill, Director of Strategic Services. “Cybriant can provide the guidance and operational resources to demystify the preparation process and ultimately achieve CMMC certification.”

TEKLYNX and Printronix Auto ID introduce industry-first full-label audit and end-to-end barcode verification labeling solution

“We’ve designed a unique end-to-end solution that makes it simple for manufacturers to access one system to identify what was designed, approved and printed.” Travis Wayne, TEKLYNX International Product Manager

TEKLYNX International, the global leader in barcode and RFID labeling software solutions, today announced it has partnered with Printronix Auto ID, a TSC-owned company and trusted global leader of highly reliable, innovative printing products, solutions and services, to create the industry’s first off-the-shelf end-to-end barcode verification labeling solution with full label audit capabilities from design to validated print results.

The result of a strategic TEKLYNX and Printronix Auto ID partnership, the new solution is an integration of TEKLYNX’ CODESOFT label designer with TEKLYNX’ LABEL ARCHIVE label security and traceability software and Printronix Auto ID’s ODV-2D printer that tracks labeling from design through printing. Every single barcode label that is printed has its barcodes scanned, verified, graded, and recorded in the LABEL ARCHIVE database.

“We’re excited about this unique integration because it directly supports TEKLYNX’ efforts to help companies around the world barcode better,” states TEKLYNX International Product Manager Travis Wayne. “We’ve designed a unique end-to-end solution that makes it simple for manufacturers to access one system to identify what was designed, approved and printed. This first-to-market integration promotes the efficiency of in-process validation and data retention for audit requirements and print process analysis.”

Created to help companies of all sizes label better, the enhanced solution provides manufacturers with empirical proof, from end-to-end, of the labeling process – making the solution particularly meaningful for medical device manufacturers, manufacturers that ship products to third party packers or distributors, regulated industries, and any industry with a need to grade barcodes.

“We’re excited to work with TEKLYNX to deliver this compelling solution for closed-loop barcode label printing,” states Andy Edwards, Printronix Auto ID Director of Product Management. “Our ODV2D system’s ability to grade labels and overstrike those with bad barcodes, combined with LABEL ARCHIVE’s full traceability of label design, delivers a truly unique closed-loop solution that has never been seen before in label the printing landscape, adding next-level efficiency to the labeling process.”

3D Printers Getting Popular on Kickstarter, Creality CR-6 SE Got a Total Pledge of Over $4.3 Million

Creality, a Chinese 3D printer manufacturer, announced its first Kickstarter campaign for its latest FDM DIY 3D printer—-CR-6 SE, featuring an innovative auto bed leveling tech to provide users the most hassle-free 3D printing, on May 6th. With overwhelmed response from the global 3D printing community, Creality CR-6 SE achieved quite a success with a total pledge of over $4.3 million by 10,401 backers. Probe into more details about the Creality CR-6 SE Kickstarter campaign:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1001939425/creality-cr-6-se-leveling-free-diy-3d-printer-kit

CR-6 SE is born during the situation of COVID-19 when 3D printing has got a real surge for making it possible to harness 3D printing to make personal protective equipment at anytime and anywhere. The potential of 3D printers has convinced people of the practicability of 3D printing technology, leading more people to get involved in learning and using 3D printers in their daily life. At this point, Creality came up with an idea of releasing CR-6 SE, which makes bed leveling no longer an issue in 3D printing, aiming to provide users the most hassle-free 3D printing.

Designed to be workhorse 3D printer for those who define creativity, Creality CR-6 SE boasts a print volume of 235x235x250mm, it is capable of printing with various kinds of filament including PLA, TPU, PETG, wood, and more. Featuring an innovative auto-leveling device, CR-6 SE achieves more accurate bed leveling via strain gauge than BL-Touch and other physical sensors, which is helpful for greatly improving bed adhesion and print quality.

On CR-6 SE is utilizing the Trinamic 2208 for precise motion and silent printing under 50dB. Moreover, CR-6 SE enables users to get fine results on its Carborundum glass platform. Compared to BuildTak-like heated build plate or magnetic bed, the Carborundum glass hotbed has better performance in thermal conductivity and adhesion. Therefore, 3D prints that come out from the CR-6 SE even have a smooth surface and fine texture on its first layer.

In addition, CR-6 SE is having a modularized nozzle for encouraging ease in nozzle maintenance and tinkering, ergonomic extruder for effortless filament feed-in. It makes it possible for quality printing performance and effortless nozzle maintenance. From the nozzle tip to Teflon tube, this is a user-friendly 3D printer that is easy to keep.

As a really easy to use 3D printer, CR-6 SE is of modularized design coming in 5 different parts, which only requires 5 mins to finish assembly. The most trouble-free 3D printing is starting on a hassle-free CR-6 SE right out of the box!

On June 5th, the project came to an end with great success. During all these days, Creality has received numerous customers’ opinions and advices which are quite helpful for making improvements in product development. To meet the customers’ demands, Creality unlocked 3 stretch goals, which included upgrading 8-bit motherboard to 32-bit mother, adding 10 more nozzles and one piece of 0.4m PTFE tube as free spare parts, upgrading TMC-2208 motion driver to TMC-2209 motion drive. Moreover, the company also provided an upgraded version CR-6 Max with a larger print volume of 400x400x400mm for catering people for making huge 3D printed projects.

CR-6 SE is such a simple and robust 3D printer featuring an intelligent leveling-free system for superior accuracy, making it a reliable choice that both hobbyists and pros can trust. Attaining such a craze buzz on Kickstarter, CR-6 SE will officially debut the retail market in July with a price tag of $429. Check more information on CR-6 SE in the link below:

Kenall Expands Virtually Impenetrable Correctional Luminaire Family with New Wall-Mount Fixtures

The dual-aperture, Mighty Mac WCBS has a bullnose profile and a doorless design for maximum safety.

The progress made in LED technology in recent years minimizes lighting maintenance and this, in turn, dramatically reduces inmate disruption, which protects everyone’s well-being.

Recently, Kenall Manufacturing introduced a series of four Mighty Mac® correctional luminaires that are virtually impenetrable, with no access points of any kind. Created specifically to keep staff and inmates safe, these luminaires are impervious to vandalism and contraband concealment. Now this series is expanding to include two new wall-mount luminaires; the dual-aperture Mighty Mac® WCBS and the single-aperture WCBHS.

While Kenall is known for extremely secure and durable correctional lighting solutions, but a customer request challenged engineers to create a luminaire with an enhanced level of protection for staff and inmates. The resulting fixture design eliminates the door, replacing it with a heavy-duty housing manufactured from a single piece of steel, preventing entry once the light fixture is installed. Long-life LEDs provide years of service-free illumination, and lenses are made of the toughest materials available and kept in place with a special bracket system fastened to the housing with through-studs. The entire fixture is secured to the wall or ceiling surface with 6 high-security bolts.

As with all Kenall Mighty Mac luminaires, personal safety is the number one priority for Kenall’s design team: “We were asked to create a unique luminaire that prevented access, unless completely removed,” said Tim Stevens, Kenall Product Manager. “The engineers really came through for the correctional community. The progress made in LED technology in recent years minimizes lighting maintenance and this, in turn, dramatically reduces inmate disruption, which protects everyone’s well-being,” Stevens concluded.

These unique Mighty Mac luminaires smaller housing is optimized for cells, making them less intrusive. The first of their kind, these new fixtures introduce an unprecedented level of security for both staff and inmates.
