OMD Italy, Italiaonline, MadHive and Henkel Italy Leverage AdLedger’s CryptoRTB To Address Fraud, Privacy, Transparency Problems In Global Initiative

AdLedger, the non-profit consortium building open standards that leverage blockchain to improve digital advertising, today announced a successful global implementation of CryptoRTB with OMD Italy, Italiaonline and MadHive for a Dixan Campaign by Henkel Italy. CryptoRTB is the open source tool set proposed by AdLedger that uses blockchain and cryptography to improve the integrity of the media ecosystem. It’s been adopted by partners like Verizon.

“Cryptography has been keeping sensitive information safe on the internet for decades, and now, with privacy regulations and third-party cookies taking center stage, we finally see industry giants understanding its potential for advertising,” said Christiana Cacciapuoti, Executive Director at AdLedger. “This activation at scale proved that cryptography and blockchain can keep up with digital media when architected properly, and we’ve only scratched the surface of what CryptoRTB can enable.”

Italiaonline started by integrating the CryptoRTB service with its ad server, which cryptographically signed outbound bid requests to prove origination, authenticity and provide data integrity. MadHive integrated the CryptoRTB protocol into its DSP technology, allowing them to validate Italiaonline’s signatures in real time before responding to the bid request. OMD trafficked the Dixan campaign in the MadHive DSP as they normally would, monitoring performance of the campaign to ensure KPIs were hit.

The Results:

“In Europe, privacy regulations have been top of mind for years, and it has become clear that cryptography will play a key role in the future of the media ecosystem,” said Antonio Montesano, Head of Digital at OMD Italy. “Our involvement in AdLedger allows us to ensure our clients are at the forefront of innovation, by leveraging this technology to take a privacy-by-design approach to all facets digital advertising. Our goal is to assess blockchain as a new solution to guarantee delivery and privacy in the new ad landscape we will face in the near future. We’re just starting our journey with AdLedger, and we already have plans to build on this partnership.”

“Implementing CryptoRTB only required a few lines of code, which allowed us to get this campaign up and running almost immediately,” said Carmine Laltrelli, Programmatic Advertising director at Italiaonline. “This campaign represents an important step forward because it allowed us to create technical proof that we are who we say we are in a transaction, ensuring that our most valuable asset – our audience – is not commoditized.”

“CryptoRTB helps us ensure that our media dollars are only going towards premium impressions on premium publishers,” said Matteo Giarrizzo, Head of Media Italy, Greece & Cyprus at Henkel. “This protocol is a huge step in building the next generation of digital advertising, which is based on proof instead of word of mouth. It will be crucial that the rest of the market to adopt this technology, in order to speed up the change and to increase transparency in the entire system”.

The CryptoRTB protocol was developed by the engineers at MadHive and is powered by the MadNetwork blockchain, which serves as a sophisticated and scalable infrastructure for identity validation and information sharing. This marks the third successful implementation of CryptoRTB from AdLedger.

The first centered around CTV and came from members MadHive and Beachfront. The pilot project leveraged digital signatures to completely eliminate domain spoofing, which is a predominant method of fraud contributing to the $23 billion lost to ad fraud last year. Additionally, the application cryptographically sealed data to ensure compliance with GDPR and CCPA, and was found to be 25 times faster and cheaper than solutions like Ads.cert.

Verizon adopted CryptoRTB protocol to power Full Transparency, a blockchain-based, open-source newsroom product designed to raise the bar for corporate accountability by providing an authoritative record of changes to public communications. The groundbreaking initiative is a finalist for two Shorty Awards.

About AdLedger

AdLedger is a nonprofit consortium building open technical standards that use blockchain and cryptography to increase the integrity of digital media. Since MadHive helped found the organization in early 2018, AdLedger’s membership has swelled to over 90 of the most powerful companies in the industry, including Omnicom Media Group, Hershey’s, Publicis Media, TEGNA, IPG Mediabrands, Vizio, Meredith, and Hearst Television.

Pacvue Report Reveals 41% Increase in Sponsored Product Spend and 89% Increase in Sponsored Brand Spend Year-over-Year

News Image

“As more consumers shop online throughout 2021, we will likely see an even higher ad spend on Amazon,” said Melissa Burdick, President of Pacvue

Pacvue, a leading enterprise platform for brands, sellers, and agencies to manage online retail advertising, today announced the release of their 2021 Q1 CPC Report showcasing insights and growth around Amazon Advertising. The report found that Sponsored Product spending increased by 41% and Sponsored Brand spending increased by 89% year-over-year — representing a 59% increase in average daily spend year-over-year in Q1 on Amazon.

Pacvue’s 2021 Q1 CPC Report reveals how a variety of advertising metrics have performed through the first quarter of 2021. The report shows that eCommerce advertising is continuing to gain traction as brands look to reach consumers through sponsored brand and product spending. There are some signs of a “return to normal” as digital ROAS Q1 showed a modest decline during Q1.

“The data insights show that online shopping has become more normalized than ever before,” said Melissa Burdick, president of Pacvue. “Both Sponsored Product and Sponsored Brand ad spend increased by 5-10% each month so far this year. With digital ROAS performing roughly the same as it was in Q1 2020, the growth in ad quantity reflects advertisers adjusting their budgets to account for the dramatic increase in eCommerce traffic on Amazon. As more consumers shop online throughout 2021, we will likely see an even higher spend in these categories following that trend.”

Key 2021 Q1 CPC Report findings:

  • Advertisers are increasingly spending on Amazon Advertising. Sponsored Product spending increased by 41% and Sponsored Brand spending increased by 89% year-over-year. Combined, this represents a 59% increase in average daily spend year-over-year in Q1.
  • ROAS saw a modest decline in Q1 2021, with Sponsored Product ROAS down 8% quarter-over-quarter and 6% year-over-year. Sponsored Brand ROAS was down 7% quarter-over-quarter and 12% year-over-year.
  • Despite increased brand spend, efficiency costs, including CPC and CPA, were little changed in Q1. Neither moved more than 10% quarter-over-quarter or year-over-year. Advertisers aren’t increasing their average daily brand spend in response to higher conversion costs but are instead responding to the increased volume of eCommerce traffic.
  • In a sign that consumers are eager for nicer weather after the pandemic winter, the Sports & Outdoors category saw a dramatic increase in conversion rate throughout Q1, reaching 12.23% in March. Similarly, the Patio, Lawn & Garden category saw increased competitiveness, with daily spend up 48% month-over-month from February to March and CPCs up 18%.
  • If anything signifies back to normal, it’s this: “valentines day gifts for him” and “valentines day gifts for her” returned as the top two search queries in February 2021, after no Valentine’s-related terms appeared in the top ten in February 2020.

The report insights are sourced from Pacvue’s proprietary Amazon keyword tracking database, which includes data from hundreds of advertisers across small, mid-sized, and large brands and every major product category.

Last month, Pacvue launched programmatic support for Amazon DSP, allowing advertisers to manage their Amazon DSP campaigns directly in Pacvue, taking advantage of the intelligent automation features, bid optimization, and robust reporting tools that brands and agencies alike have come to depend on from Pacvue. By combining holistic performance insights in a single experience and surfacing recommended actions, advertisers can save time managing campaigns, while building a robust strategy to meet their unique business objectives.

Enabling campaign management for Amazon DSP furthers Pacvue’s vision of providing a holistic solution for advertising, marketing automation, and retail intelligence to help brands grow online. Amazon DSP complements the Amazon Advertising offerings that Pacvue already supports, as well as additional retail channels, including Walmart, Instacart, Target, and eBay. New York Computer Help is Now Offering a Full Insurance Protection Plan for all PC Computer Builds

gaming-pc-build-custom-nyc

Past Project – Frozen Ice Gaming Build

Each customer gets an initial complimentary 30-minute consult on designing the ultimate dream computer. Our custom PC experts not only focus on the customer’s part requirements, but the design and color scheme are also priorities.

In New York Computer Help’s 34th Street Repair Center, Idit Silverman, its owner, explains, “We have personalized the whole custom PC build experience. The industry has been selling custom PC builds, but that has been the end of interaction. No support has been provided since the purchase. Instead, customers have been frustrated by being forced to deal with parts manufacturers to return any faulty parts or left to troubleshoot issues on their own. Now, we have offered a full insurance protection plan for all of customers who have us design and build their custom build PCs.”

Silverman explains that each customer gets an initial complimentary 30-minute consult on designing the ultimate dream computer. Then, their custom PC experts not only focus on the customer’s part requirements, but the design and color scheme are also priorities. After the build is complete, an insurance protection plan at only $15/month covers all support and service for any issues.

Performance, tower size, water cooling systems, mixing and matching part colors are critical factors that the New York Computer Help team pays attention to. The industry or function the computer will be built for also play key roles. Silverman notes as an example that L’Oréal just ordered five custom PC builds for its design rendering team. “Each case needed three or four video cards along with a special color theme to blend into its designer environment,” she said. Silverman also mentioned how gamers and companies design their custom machines based on their respective games and company software. Custom machines have been designed for Cyberpunk gaming tournaments as well as for trading desks and small offices.

Industries include: business executives, traders, gamers, video editors, remote workers, and students. Silverman mentioned, “The work environment is more of a hybrid one nowadays where we are designing home builds for those who still want office-level performance. Similarly, in the office, our customers require faster performance for demand-hungry software and projects.”

In general, New York Computer Help’s custom build will cost you at least $5,000. Silverman said New York Computer Help’s unique human touch element here carries on well after the computer sale by also offering full system insurance support and coverage.

New York Computer Help is different. This revolutionary tech company not only provides the design and custom build to order, but now also allows customers to leverage its top-notch insurance warranty. For only $15/month, customers are covered for any and all custom pc build services going forward. “We have always been a customer-focused, service-first company,” Silverman says. “This blend of high level custom build design and total care coverage gives our customers a sense of comfort and stability.”
