The NFL Commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Pro Football- While Unknown Author Danny Jones has written 5 books on 101 of the best players from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s

Star receiver Lance Rentzel of the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams and Danny Jones, #19, author of 5 football books. (August 2016)

“The authors selection of players is impressive: showcasing many colorful personalities and mavericks that were part of the shining eras of the fabulous 50’s, glorious 60’s, and the party-loving 70’s.”

Unknown author Danny Jones has dedicated most of his life, over 50 years, preserving the legacies and memories of 101 all-time legendary NFL players from the past. His books focus on Pro Football’s unsung heroes of yesteryear. These forgotten stars had the talent and credentials to be in the Hall of Fame- but are not. They were outstanding athletes who for whatever reasons were overlooked and slipped through the cracks of immortality. Many of these forefathers were pioneers and trailblazers from the memorable decades of the past. The author’s selection of players is impressive: showcasing many colorful personalities and mavericks that were part of the shining eras of the fabulous 50’s, glorious 60’s, and party-loving 70’s. More details can be found about Danny’s 5 books on his website, http://www.starsofthenfl.com

The 101 icons in these books were the biggest gate attractions in Pro Football along with the Hall of Famers. Jones has examined and provided an in-depth, up-close, and a detailed look at their accomplishments, game and season statistics, and longest touchdowns of 40 or more yards. No other football books have this information. These stars could light up the scoreboards like pinball machines at anytime from anywhere on the football field. Most of the legends in these books should be in the Hall of Fame. Some of the players have passed away. Danny’s 5 books are titled, “Distant Memories,” “More Distant Memories,” “Lost Treasures from the Golden Era of America’s Game,” “Heroes of Yesteryear,” and “Trailblazers and Unsung Heroes.” Here’s a list of 25 players in his books: Ken Anderson, Cliff Branch, John Brodie, Timmy Brown, Wes Chandler, Raymond Chester, Gary Collins, Bobby Joe Conrad, Clem Daniels, Boyd Dowler, Fred Dryer, Roman Gabriel, Willie Galimore, Dave Grayson, Charley Hennigan, J.D. Hill, Harold Jackson, Homer Jones, Keith Lincoln, Archie Manning, Mercury Morris, Jim Plunkett, Lance Rentzel, Del Shofner, and Otis Taylor.

Books are affordable and are available for purchase wherever fine books are sold. Distant Memories and More Distant Memories are $24.99 each. Lost Treasures is $19.99 and Heroes of Yesteryear and Trailblazers and Unsung Heroes are $13.99 each. All 5 books are published by AuthorHouse and are available in Ebook. About the Author

Danny Jones had played amateur and semi-pro football for 12 years in the 70’s and 80’s. He was a wide receiver and compiled some outstanding statistics during his illustrious career. Danny caught 302 passes for 5,519 yards and 66 touchdowns. He scored 15 touchdowns of 40 or more yards. Danny wore #19 like his football hero and idol- star receiver Lance Rentzel of the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams. The reason for these books is to give the former NFL stars of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s the long overdue recognition they deserve, so they can be chosen to the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio where they should be. It takes an unknown author like me to help them since nobody else would.

Billon will be first to digitise Euro in DLT in cooperation with Raiffeisen Bank International

– Billon will participate in the Elevator Lab Partnership Program organised by Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).

  • The Polish-British fintech is one of six companies selected from a group of over 280 applications.
  • Supported by RBI experts, Billon will develop a PoC of a distributed, digitalised cash platform using tokenised euro on DLT.
  • In March 2020 Billon will present the complete solution to the bank.

Warsaw / London, November 5, 2019. Billon was selected to participate in the Elevator Lab Partnership Program organised by Raiffeisen Bank International. The awarded idea, presented during the final qualification round on 17 October 2019 in Vienna, is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) based digital cash platform enabling transactions with tokenised euro stored on blockchain.

In the Elevator Lab program, Billon will demonstrate its proven technology, showcasing the capability to mint, transfer and redeem regulated currency on a distributed ledger. The Polish-British fintech will work with RBI to use the platform for interbank or intercompany transfers of funds and settlement with digitised euro. Later, the scope of work can be expanded with mass payouts of funds from corporates to individuals, merchant accounts for e-commerce and e-money accounts for individual customers

“Participation in the Elevator Lab program is a chance to forge a partnership with a large international finance institution and a leading bank in Central and Eastern Europe, something that Billon aspired to since the company was created. Seeing RBI’s eagerness to implement innovative technologies, I am confident this collaboration will have a very strong and positive effect on our business,” says Wojtek Kostrzewa, CEO of Billon Group.

The Elevator Lab program seeks partnerships with the best fintech startups operating in central and eastern Europe and offering, among others, fintech and AI solutions. This year, over 280 companies registered for the third edition of the program. In addition to Billon, five companies finally qualified to the acceleration phase: Uhura Solutions from Montenegro (using AI to verify and draft contracts), imVision from Israel (an API security platform), Minna from Sweden (subscription management for online banking systems), Quantoz from the Netherlands (blockchain payments for IoT devices), and Nayax from Israel (cashless payments).

“We have selected Billon as an Elevator Lab participant because Raiffeisen Bank International is interested in applications of the distributed ledger technology. Over the next months, we will be testing Billon’s solution and evaluating the potential added value for our customers,” says Maximilian Schausberger, head of fintech partnerships at Raiffeisen Bank International.

In the next few months, companies participating in the partnership program must create a proof of concept, showing that their technology can work with RBI’s systems and processes and generate added value for the bank. Billon and other finalists will present their PoC in Vienna on Demo Day, scheduled to take place on March 5, 2020. On this basis, RBI will evaluate possible cooperation.

“In the following months, we will take part in monthly acceleration workshops in Vienna. This will help us adapt our idea to the bank’s internal structure and regulatory requirements in Austria,” adds Wojtek Kostrzewa.

About Billon

Billon created the first enterprise DLT system, unifying national currency transactions, document management, and identity management into a single architectural system. We first solved the challenge of transacting micropayments at scale, and we also now encrypt documents and data on-chain, unleashing the transformational capacities of DLT in the regulated world. Billon’s high-performance DLT system is designed to deliver tangible business results in the areas of Account & Transactions, Trusted Documents, and Identity & Data Sharing.

Billon was founded in the UK in 2015, following several years of R&D in Poland. Its unique DLT protocol has been supported by many R&D grants, including the EU Horizon 2020 program. Billon is licensed to issue electronic money by regulators in the UK and Poland and employs a global team of more than 80 professionals in its two offices in London and Warsaw.

Billon actively works to implement its technology commercially with leading business partners, such as FIS in the US and BIK (the Polish credit office) in Poland. In 2018, the company won the Global FinTech Hackcelerator competition at the Singapore FinTech Festival, showcasing a solution to zero-cost blockchain micropayments. Billon is currently taking part in the Elevator Lab accelerator by Raiffeisen Bank International, working on e-money transactions with digitised euro on DLT.

National Institutes of Health grant to fund research on noise attenuation technology

Invictus Medical Improving the lives of newborns

Invictus Medical

NICU noise is a well-established risk for preterm infants. The literature indicates that levels of noise found in these care areas can have short- and long-term health consequences. The Neoasis™ provides a non-contact means to reduce noise inside infant incubators.

Invictus Medical, the San Antonio, Texas-based medical device company dedicated to providing newborns with healthy development milestones, has been awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Phase I grant to continue development of Invictus’ Neoasis™ device, a new, noise-attenuation technology aimed at making neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) more conducive to newborn infants’ development.

“NICU noise is a well-established risk for preterm infants. The literature indicates that levels of noise found in these care areas can have short- and long-term health consequences. Clinicians are looking for solutions to this problem,” said George Hutchinson, Invictus Medical’s Chief Executive Officer. “The Neoasis™ provides a non-contact means to reduce noise inside infant incubators.”

The NIH grant provides funding to complete the testing of the Invictus’ device in a hospital-based NICU simulator, providing the most realistic test environment without involving patients. Upon successfully completing this simulator testing, the Neoasis™ will be evaluated in the clinical environment.

Research funding for this project was supported by the National Institute On Deafness And Other Communication Disorders of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number R43DC018464. Cryopak Introduces CTL (Contactless Temperature Logger) an Important Addition to their Line of Data Loggers

“The CTL is an exciting new addition to our family of data loggers that will offer a simpler and more efficient user experience.”

Cryopak is proud to announce the unveiling of its new data logger with wireless capabilities: the CTL (Contactless Temperature Logger). This new addition to the company’s cold chain portfolio provides an efficient and advanced method in obtaining and syncing data with today’s mobile devices and computers.

The CTL is a plug-and-play device that accurately captures the required temperature data and presents the information in an easy to read report available in PDF, Excel, and raw data formats. This logger allows a connection for data transfers via mobile app. The first release of the CTL is compatible with Android and iOS devices; Windows versions are currently in development. The wireless communication between devices can be utilized to synchronize data and time, setup the device, log parameters and download the records.

“The CTL is an exciting new addition to our family of data loggers that will offer a simpler and more efficient user experience,” said Parminder Singh, Operations Manager for Cryopak Verification Technologies. “End users monitoring the temperatures of their shipments will no longer have to rely on a bulky laptop or PC. They can be anywhere within 30 meters (near the truck, in the warehouse or on the dock) and simply download the data wirelessly to a mobile device using our compatible app.” Singh also mentioned that the information downloaded can be easily shared with anyone with just one click, eliminating the need for saving and uploading files.

A primary application for the use of these contactless data loggers will be in temperature mapping studies. This type of study consists of monitoring the environmental conditions of a storage space at a regular interval for 7 days.

Line 204 and Zio Studio Services Form Powerful Production Industry Alliance

Zio Studio Services Founder Louis Dargenzio and Line 204 Founder Alton Butler

Both companies will continue to concentrate on our specialties, while leveraging the other’s industry knowledge and inventories to create the most value for our clients.

Line 204 and Zio Studio Services, two of Los Angeles’s top production rental companies, establish a synergistic brand partnership focused on the future of the film and digital media industry. Together, the companies provide greater convenience and a one-stop shopping solution for production vehicles and equipment needs, which is currently unavailable industry-wide—until now. Clients will continue to call their representative of choice at either company, then pick-up and return vehicles and supplies from Line 204’s massive 120,000-square-foot production facility in Sun Valley.

Both parties bring something valuable to the partnership. Founded by Louis Dargenzio, Zio Studio Services offers motorhomes, trucks, restrooms, carts, gators and studio services, while Line 204, founded by Alton Butler, offers production equipment inventory and a Sun Valley location as a central pick-up and drop-off zone. Line 204 is currently ramping up construction on its approved 10-acre, 240,000-square-foot, 10-stage studio lot, which will be Los Angeles’s largest studio facility built from the ground up in more than 30 years. Zio Studio Services will be the exclusive vehicle provider of Line 204’s new Sun Valley-based studio facility, which is slated to officially open its doors in 2021.

“Alton and I have been brainstorming for years on ways we could work together that would simplify the rental process for clients, and this deal does exactly that,” said Dargenzio. “Clients will be able to call one phone number and have access to what we believe is now Hollywood’s largest rental inventory of production vehicles and supplies. Both companies will continue to concentrate on our specialties, while leveraging the other’s industry knowledge and inventories to create the most value for our clients. It truly is a win-win.”

“Line 204’s clients wanted us to get back into the transportation game, and rather than starting from scratch, I looked toward Louis on this natural alliance,” said Butler. “And, by outsourcing our transportation needs to Zio, 204 can stick with what we’re good at and focus on our future expansion plans. This partnership puts us at the top of the game.”

About Line 204:

Line 204 is a top boutique studio and production rental company in Los Angeles that is owned and operated by Chief Executive Alton Butler. In 1997, Alton launched Line 204 out of his garage in Studio City where he rented production equipment to Los Angeles commercial units. Under his leadership, Line 204 has grown expeditiously, employing over 120 team members across three business entities: Line 204, 204 Events + Décor and Angstrom Lighting. In 2021, Line 204 will open a 240,000-square-foot studio complex in Sun Valley – the largest to be built in LA in more than 30 years! Line 204 has hosted some of the most recognized print and commercial shoots in the industry, including the last eight seasons of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Roundtable” series for both the Oscars and Emmy’s, Calvin Klein’s spring 2020 campaign, “Sesame Street” celebrity guest spots, Hugo Boss fragrance with Zac Efron, Old Navy Holiday 2019, Netflix’s “6 Underground” and “The Handmaids Tale.” Line 204 has rented props and production equipment to some of today’s top TV shows, including “This is Us.” For more information about Line 204, please visit http://www.line204.com.

About Zio Studio Services:

Zio Studio Services is Los Angeles’s top choice for a wide variety of industry-standard production vehicles—all delivered with unparalleled personalized service. Founded by Louis Dargenzio, Zio started in 2007 with only three trucks. Today, Zio has expanded to more than 550 vehicles, in addition to supplies and restrooms, and the company continues to reinvest and expand. Zio has provided equipment for a lot of great productions of all sizes, including “NCIS,” “SWAT,” “The Disaster Artist,” “Lady Bird”, “Westworld”, “Captain Marvel”, “Bright,” “Transformers: Bumble Bee”, “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn),” and most recently, “Space Jam 2.” For more information about Zio Studio Services, please visit http://www.ziostudioservices.com.

A Place at Home Opens its 10th Location in Allen, Texas

A Place at Home Opens its 10th Location in Allen, TX. The Innovative senior care company continues to expand into new cities across the United States.

The growth we’ve seen since 2017, and hosting our first annual franchise convention, is a significant turning point for our brand. We’ve gone nationwide, and are in discussion with a prospect to potentially go international in order to reach more seniors in need of our services.

A Place at Home opened its doors in North Texas on Monday, October 14th. It is the tenth APAH location to open its doors nationwide.

The physical office is located at 550 S. Watters Rd., Suite 116, Allen, TX 75013. North Texas residents looking for customized in-home senior care options can dial (972) 788-8489 to request information.

The new location serves Allen, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Richardson.

APAH has launched other franchise locations in Austin, TX, Colorado, Michigan, California, Oregon, Arizona, Arkansas, and Papillion, Nebraska. The corporate headquarters is located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Founders Jerod Evanich and Dustin Distefano opened APAH in 2012. Both men shared a passion for making changes in senior care. They created a continuum of care model to ensure APAH would be a true solution, rather than just another home care agency.

They offer four service lines: in-home care, care coordination, senior living alternatives, and staffing.

A widely positive response led to exponential growth, ultimately culminating in the decision to open franchising opportunities across the nation. The first new franchise opened its doors in 2017 in South Denver.

This year Evanich and Distefano celebrated their tenth location by launching the First Annual Franchise Convention, where they brought all of their new franchise owners together, giving them an opportunity to socialize and benefit from a number of seminars.

“It’s the first of many milestones for the franchise system,” said Evanich.

“The growth we’ve seen since 2017, and hosting our first annual franchise convention, is a significant turning point for our brand. We’ve gone nationwide, and are in discussion with a prospect to potentially go international in order to reach more seniors in need of our services,” adds Distefano.

Evanich said they focus on finding the right people to expand their brand. “More and more entrepreneurs are looking for meaningful business opportunities, as well as a quality service model they can stand behind.”
