The horrors of breast cancer are all too familiar to so many of us. We’ve all known someone who’s been diagnosed with or lost a battle with breast cancer. It’s affected wives, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, and so many more.

That’s why all month long, KoreHealth asked its followers to show their support for all those fighting via the #KHPushUpChallenge.

Here’s how it worked: KoreHealth challenged all of its followers to film themselves completing as many push ups as they can in a row, post to their social media and challenge the rest of their friends and followers to do the same! For every #KHPushUpChallenge participant KoreHealth will be donated $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and match any individual donation made towards the fundraiser.

Star-studded participation included founder Jason Manly, Edmen Shahbazyan, Rampage Jackson Jr., AJ McKee, Rachael Cummins, among many others.

KoreHealth aimed to spread awareness and hope for all those affected by Breast Cancer. The statistics are alarming and hit all too close to home for so many.

There are over 2.8M breast cancer survivors living in the US

85% of diagnoses occur in women with no family history of breast cancer

1 in about 833 men will develop breast cancer in their lifetime

As vital as it is to find a cure, the first step is prevention. So, encourage the women in your life to get regular mammogram screenings and get educated about breast cancer warning signs and symptoms. The sooner breast cancer is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat!

No one should have to navigate breast cancer alone. We’re stronger together! So, drop down, knock out some push-ups, and let’s rally together and show some support for our friends, loved ones, and everyone else out there fighting!

How to Overcome Your Mid-Week Slump and Push Through Rest of the Week

“Wednesday is usually a demanding day, thus a good strategy to keep emotional stress down and energy levels high is to preserve as much flexibility in your mid-week goals as possible,” says Carter.

Normal, high-quality sleep and short-term stress-relief strategies are crucial to your overall health and energy management. Most individuals spend their weekends making the situation worse, setting up the mind and body for the ‘Mid-week morning blues.’ (Source: TheMorningMind)

“If you constantly fall into the same day-to-day routine, use Wednesdays to switch it up at work,” says Carter.

“Breaking into high-quality mornings isn’t always easy, sometimes it requires a more disciplined weekend schedule and replacing bad behaviors with empowering ones that bring joy into our life,” says Dr. Rob Carter III, co-author with his wife, Dr. Kirti Salwe Carter, of The Morning Mind: Use Your Brain to Master Your Day and Supercharge Your Life (http://www.themorningmind.com).

Carter has simple ways to help maximize the chance of overcoming the Mid-Week Slump:

“Be positive and optimistic about each of your mornings,” says Carter. “Use encouraging affirmations and simply telling yourself, ‘I will feel invigorated in everything I do.’ Then, take control of your life and focus on doing what you love midweek,” says Carter.

“Schedule your heavyweight activities for later in the day as much as possible,” says Carter, “Wednesday is usually a demanding day, thus a good strategy to keep our emotional and intellectual stress down is to preserve as much flexibility in your mid-week goals as possible,” says Carter.

“Schedule some time with friends and family mid-week, so that you have something to look forward to,” says Carter, “Seeing and chatting with people you enjoy can undoubtedly turn an awful mood and give you the ideal boost to get over your mid-week slump.”

“Reflect on what makes you happy to be alive,” says Carter, “the subconscious responds very powerfully to feelings, and the more of a sensory experience you make, the more effective it will be.”

How to beat the Mid-week Blues and enjoy each day of the week?

“Accept those mornings are inevitable, set realistic morning goals, and commit to a realistic weekly plan,” Carter says, “be assertive instead of aggressive and integrate short-term stress-relief strategies and exercise into your daily life.”

Complicated or Restrictive Surrogacy Laws Underscore the Value of Hiring a Surrogacy Agency, says Global Surrogacy Services

The Los Angeles-based agency helps build families nationwide and internationally.

Well-qualified surrogacy agencies are accustomed to working around restrictive surrogacy laws.

An October 8 article on WOTV 4 reports on a Grand Rapids couple’s struggle with restrictive surrogacy laws in Michigan. In their interview, the couple says they were shocked to learn that compensated surrogacy is illegal in their home state and that barriers would prevent their biological child from legally being recognized as their own without going through an adoption process – even if they were to go through an unpaid surrogate. The article also references another Michigan couple who was forced to leave their home state to work with a surrogacy agency based elsewhere in the U.S. in order to have a successful childbirth. Los Angeles-based Global Surrogacy Services says that well-qualified surrogacy agencies are accustomed to working around restrictive surrogacy laws, giving intended parents the hope of one day expanding their families without having to worry about potential legal concerns.

Global Surrogacy Services says navigating through the sea of bureaucracy and legal matters surrounding surrogacy is, unsurprisingly, one of the hardest parts of the process—especially if multiple countries are involved, as this requires the help of legal experts familiar with the relevant jurisdictions. Additionally, the agency notes that issues of citizenship, legal guardianship, and more can all affect the process, making it incredibly difficult for intended parents to sift through the legality of surrogacy on their own. Even acquiring the services of the right kind of lawyers can be difficult for people who are not experts on the process.

Intended parents who go through an agency, however, can generally leave much of the legal process to the agency’s team of gestational surrogacy experts instead. Global Surrogacy Services says this allows intended parents to focus their attention on more traditional pre-natal concerns, like building a nursery and learning about how to care for their baby.

Global Surrogacy Services says that the resources available to an established agency can facilitate a healthy pregnancy from the start of the matchmaking process through post-pregnancy care for the surrogate. The agency says that in doing so, the chances for complications are dramatically reduced. Intended parents can trust that their surrogate and the growing baby will be happy and healthy, while surrogates can trust that all their medical needs will be well taken care of.

Global Surrogacy Services says above all, the point of the agency is to ensure a successful pregnancy and happy intended parents. Readers can learn more about Global Surrogacy Services and the surrogacy process by visiting the agency’s website at https://globalsurrogacyservices.com/ or calling (800) 355-2009.
