Medical Spa Expert Dr. Jeffrey Ayers Joins Exclusive Haute Beauty Network

Dr. Jeffrey Ayers

Dr. Ayers considers his work as a creative twist to a cool science experiment.

Dr. Jeffrey Ayers is excited to share his passion for non-surgical cosmetic services that maintain a natural yet youthful appearance. The field of aesthetics changes often and Dr. Ayers is a perpetual learner who also enjoys sharing what he learns with newer practitioners.

Dr. Ayers has practiced medicine in Utah for 26 years. While working for Intermountain Healthcare, he realized medicine would evolve, requiring professional diversity. As a result, he sought additional training and discovered medical aesthetics.

After joining the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics, he spent 12+ years as their medical director. While there, he continued developing his artistic skill for aesthetics and contributed to the professional training programs offered.

Dr. Ayers has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Westmont College and completed his medical degree at Des Moines University. He then completed his family medicine residency at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital and served as a staff family doctor in Sasebo, Japan as a commissioned naval officer for three years.

Dr. Ayers considers his work as a creative twist to a cool science experiment. Through his continued commitment to exploring different ways to expand or enhance his career – he met nurse injector, J. Nielson (now a DNP!). Nielson had the vision, the passion, and the confidence to present herself as an artist.

Aesthetic injections rely heavily on science and anatomy, yet it wasn’t until then that he started understanding the art of assessing and treating a face that he owned his artistic nature. Once he allowed himself to think outside of the scientific box and enjoy the process of sculpting and enhancing the face, his perspective changed, adopting the expression “the art and science of skin.”

Dr. Ayers enjoys many of the services offered at the Gallery of Aesthetics. On any given day, he would jump at the chance to have a HydraFacial®. This service mildly exfoliates the skin and infuses serums and boosters, leaving the skin feeling clean, refreshed, and soft. In addition, in as little as 30 minutes he can also have a fractional laser resurfacing (MOXI) that has very little downtime. He also believes the most important step in skincare is sunscreen. A regiment of antioxidants, anti-aging products, and sunscreen will correct and protect the skin moving forward.

He is inspired by many artists and enjoys contemporary abstract to realism. His first recollection of an artist he enjoyed as a child was Andrew Wyeth (USA), and he recalls the dog sleeping on the bed, called “Master Bedroom,” as a favorite.

Also enjoying works of:

Didier Lourenco (Spain) for the messages to enjoy life and not to be invisible.

Danny McBride (Canada) who also had a career transition from musician to artist, painting women who are confident, poised, and successful.

Dr. Ayers is thrilled to invite you to the Gallery of Aesthetics so you can enjoy the space, art, and the broad range of services provided by their amazing team.

Announcing Symptomatical – Online Symptom Screening Platform to Ensure a Safe School Environment

Symptomatical - Symptom Screening and Health Tracking Platform for Schools

Symptomatical – Symptom Screening and Health Tracking Platform for Schools

The primary goal of Symptomatical — help to stay ahead of the curve and ensure a safe school environment.

Symptomatical launches a platform that helps schools to move daily student Covid-19 screenings online. Parents can quickly and easily submit daily health information about their children and Covid-19 symptoms online before entering school buildings.

“A new screening method that allows your school to stay open.”

Symptomatical offers additional features to ensure safety to students and schools. It enables offline learning by providing screening results tracking, departments and location management, comprehensive reporting, customizable questionnaire, and more.

The primary goal of Symptomatical — help to stay ahead of the Covid-19 curve and ensure a safe school environment.

How does the online screening process work?

In the app, parents answer the questions if their child is experiencing symptoms. They are based on the state’s regulations and CDC documents. After that, the parents see if their child can enter the school premises or stay home. Finally, the school leaders see information about daily statuses in the dashboard.

“To keep kids safe… I know that in my children’s school there were 2 cases disclosed like that. So it helps to disclose cases.” – Assad, Toronto, public-funded college, 10 000 students.

The app sends automatic reminders before the classes begin. No downloads are needed. Parents can complete a form each morning using a smartphone app or a website. The school administration sees daily results in the dashboard. In addition, it can easily create reports for school districts if required. School principals mention that similar apps have already helped them disclose cases among students.

How Does It Affect Schools?

According to recent research, offline education is more effective compared to online learning. This is because students understand the materials better when they can directly meet their lecturers. Using daily screening apps, schools can resume offline learning and improve their students’ performance.

CEO of Symptomatical Iva Kozlovskaya started platform development when “several schools requested help in moving the health screening process online to keep the health of each student under control. Symptomatical makes daily health screenings and temperature assessments easier. Parents need just a couple of minutes to respond to the required questions about childrens’ well-being before reporting to school.”

“Ultra is proud to provide the multi-mission, interoperable NGSSR to the United States Navy. The Kongsberg TerraLens SDK enables us to deliver high-performance geospatial rendering we expect across the range of NGSSR capabilities.” – Martin Lewis, President of Ultra Naval Systems & Sensors

Kongsberg Geospatial, a geospatial software technology company, announced today that their TerraLens geospatial software development kit (SDK), was selected by Ultra to provide the geospatial display and rendering engine for the next generation of US Navy Surface Search Radars.

Ultra Naval Systems and Sensors was awarded a $42M USD contract in July 2020 to develop and manufacture a new surface fleet radar system to replace legacy navigation radars and deliver next generation technologies. The Next Generation Surface Search Radar (NGSSR) is a multi-mission radar focused on safe navigation, surface search and periscope detection.

Navigation and situational awareness are core functions for all surface warships, but these routine tasks are becoming more difficult as the ocean becomes increasingly complex with the proliferation of inexpensive solid-state radar, which contribute to ship and radio traffic. Debris like floating transport containers, air traffic and land-based radar also contribute to crowding and confusing the radio spectrum.

The NGSSR incorporates the latest digital technology and a software-based technology designed to extend, enhance and optimize radar system performance.

Martin Lewis, President of Ultra Naval Systems & Sensors commented: “Ultra is proud to provide the multi-mission, interoperable NGSSR to the United States Navy. The Kongsberg TerraLens SDK enables us to deliver high-performance geospatial rendering we expect across the range of NGSSR capabilities.”

Kongsberg’s TerraLens SDK provides a highly performant next-gen geospatial and 3D display capability for the NGSSR operator consoles.

“We’re very proud of the capabilities of our TerraLens SDK”, said Ranald McGillis, president of Kongsberg Geospatial. “TerraLens powers the displays for a wide range of mission-critical applications supporting various other US Navy programs besides NGSSR.”

The new NGSSR radar is expected to ultimately replace all variants of the Navy’s current AN/SPS-67, and AN/SPS-73 radar systems.

Now in its 20th year, the Trot for Hunger was held virtually in 2020, and still raised more than $300,000 to support SOME’s mission. This year the event returns in-person and virtually to continue this time-honored Thanksgiving tradition and participants aim to raise more than $500,000. Thousands of volunteers, supporters, racers and members of the community will join in this mission.

Registration is available online and will remain open until November 19. Strict COVID-19 and safety protocols, including distancing, staggered start times and mask-wearing, will be coordinated in conjunction with numerous local and federal agencies.

Telehealth Platform Announces Boots on the Ground Plan to Spread Its Message into Communities Across the Nation

Ambassador Program

the best way to reach people is with people

Epiq MD, Inc., the convergence of primary care, mental health, preventative, and wellness programs through an online healthcare platform, announces the launch of its Brand Ambassador Program today. This groundbreaking initiative will combine community, entrepreneurship, and technology to bring healthcare solutions to the 80 plus million uninsured and underinsured, hardworking U.S. residents who have been left behind by ever-increasing insurance and medical costs.

The Ambassador Program is the next step in Epiq MD’s vision towards “fixing a broken system” – that system being healthcare in America. Epiq MD believes this initiative will result in a new wave of entrepreneurship, education and health & wellness in communities throughout the nation. In Epiq MD’s existing efforts to bring healthcare solutions to these communities, they have perceived a glaring hole, the desire for independent employment. It’s estimated that 79 million people will start home based businesses in the next 5 years. Epiq MD CEO, Alejandro Rodriguez commented, “there has been a clear rising need and inclination for people to become self-employed and we believe those who have a passion for health and wellness will be given their jump start through programs like our Ambassador Program.” Mr. Rodriguez further commented, “regarding ideal customers, our target audience is everywhere, all-encompassing members from 3 or 4 economic classes, workers in the restaurant, hotel, retail and construction industries, residents in both urban and rural areas, every type of household, and spans four major generations – Baby Boomers, Gen-X’ers, Millennials and Generation Z.”

The Company undoubtedly believes that its audience transcends class, color or age, however they are equally adamant about the importance of acknowledging many of the alarming facts within. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), 8% of White Americans, 11% of Black, 20% of Hispanic and an astounding 22% of American Indians and Alaska Natives lack health insurance coverage. While socioeconomic factors contribute to the high rates of uninsured and underinsured Americans, mistrust in the medical system and language barriers also play a key role in accessing quality healthcare, and/or, obtaining a healthy lifestyle. Epiq MD believes that its Ambassador Program will create diverse community leaders, who will be instrumental in teaching their circles about the Epiq MD platform and how healthcare and wellness should and can be accessible. Epiq MD Director, Michael Ladner commented, “The primary objective of the Ambassador is to effectively bring smart healthcare services to their neighbors, communities, consumers and employer groups across the nation. Our Ambassadors are the embodiment of the Live Epiq, Be Epiq mentality.”

The Company is confident its Ambassador Program will give millions of underserved Americans the potential to become community leaders and take the reins of healthcare into their own hands, while also earning a meaningful income stream for their own household. Epiq MD CEO, Alejandro Rodriguez stated, “the best way to reach people is with people. I will always trust my loved ones and neighbors alike over the faceless machine that has turned away millions of Americans. We are providing training, support and the very tools needed for anyone, regardless of background, to take their health, their income potential and their community into their own hands. We are putting a face on healthcare, and the best part is it’s a face you know. It’s a face that delivers your mail, it’s a face that makes your morning coffee, it’s the face of a mother, a father. It’s a face you trust, believe in and love. That’s what the Ambassador Program is all about and that’s what makes it truly special.”

The Ambassador Program is currently offered in four states during what Mr. Rodriguez would categorize as a “soft launch mode”, however the company has extensive plans for aggressive expansion, future deployments, and marketing events that will go through the end of 2022. Mr. Rodriguez stated, “We feel that it is vital we lay a firm foundation of training and support with our early Ambassadors, making sure they are properly equipped to accommodate our future desired growth.”

As part of the Ambassador Program reveal, the Company has created an informative website featuring a reveal video, an FAQ section and other introductory materials. The Company is also making available an abbreviated version of the Ambassador Program’s Brand & Style Book, which Rodriguez states, “will effectively relay both the spirit of and the brass tacks of this organic distribution channel and income opportunity for those that share our passion”. Those interested in pursuing the Ambassador opportunity as an income earning option for their household can also schedule a conference call with a member of our support team by simply emailing us at ambassadorsupport@epiqmd.com.

AGH Kidney Transplant Program Earns Top Regional, State Results in latest Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients report

“As a leading referral center for patients with complex renal disease, we are incredibly proud of the program we have established at AGH for treating kidney failure, including our transplant team,” said Ngoc Thai, MD, PH.D., Director of AHN’s Center for Abdominal Transplantation.

Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), has the best one-year survival rate and transplant rate among adult kidney transplant programs in Pennsylvania, according to the latest data from the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR). AGH is one of 19 adult kidney transplant programs in Pennsylvania.

The SRTR is a national database of organ transplantation statistics and serves as the repository of information used to analyze transplantation trends and patient outcomes in the U.S. AGH performed 145 deceased kidney transplants during the most recent measuring period by the SRTR (between Jan. 1, 2018 and March 12, 2020) with patients having a 97.47% one-year organ survival rate. Nationally the one-year survival rate is 95.68%. AGH also posted the best three-year kidney transplant survival rate in the western PA region at 88.8%.

The SRTR report also shows that AGH patients are also transplanted one and a half times faster than the national average and twice as fast as any other transplant center in the region—meaning patients spend less time on the transplant waiting list before receiving a donor kidney. This measure has the largest impact on survival for kidney transplant recipients, according to AGH transplant specialists.

“As a leading referral center for patients with complex renal disease, we are incredibly proud of the program we have established at AGH for treating kidney failure, including our transplant team,” said Ngoc Thai, MD, PH.D., Director of AHN’s Center for Abdominal Transplantation. “The positive outcomes documented in the latest SRTR report are another testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our caregivers and to the evidence-based, patient-centered care standards that we uphold.”

AGH has performed kidney transplantation since 1987. A multidisciplinary team of caregivers, including physicians, nurses, transplant coordinators, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, and others collaborate to ensure high-quality, comprehensive care at every stage of a kidney transplant patient’s journey.

Kalathil Sureshkumar, MD, Medical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at AHN, said post-transplant survival rates are impacted by a myriad of factors.

“We have an outstanding multidisciplinary team involved in the close monitoring and management of our patients following transplant surgery. The team provides kidney transplant recipients with all the support and resources that they need for a successful outcome. This includes helping patients adhere to the complex medical regimen, teaching them about self-monitoring, and arranging timely follow up testing and doctor visits. Those steps allow us to make sure the new kidney is functioning as it should be and patients are responding well to the surgery,” Dr. Sureshkumar says.

The SRTR database gives patients the opportunity to compare transplant centers across the country on one website. Data is collected directly by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) from transplant programs, as well as from organ procurement organizations (OPOs) such as the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) in western Pennsylvania. This information is also supplemented by data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other sources. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requires that SRTR make all data available in aggregate to the public.
