Women’s Health USA, a leading management services company in the women’s health sector in the United States, announced today a joint venture partnership with Las Vegas-based Women’s Health Associates of Southern Nevada (WHASN), one of the pre-eminent ObGyn groups in Nevada. In this joint venture, Women’s Health USA and WHASN will work together to design and implement value-based delivery care models for a wide range of women’s health services to better serve the health care needs of both Medicaid and commercial patient populations in the Nevada market.

“We are thrilled about this new partnership and the opportunities to partner with WHASN in building a new paradigm of care in women’s health. Nevada has one of the most innovative population health markets in the US and has therefore been a high priority market for Women’s Health USA for some time. Once we identified Nevada as a critical market for us, there was only one choice as to who the right partner was. With WHASN’s market leadership, strong reputation and considerable footprint we have the building blocks to construct a more effective and efficient physician-led, patient-centric, and data-driven women’s health care delivery model,” said Women’s Health USA CEO Goran Dragolovic.

John Martin, M.D., who founded WHASN in 2005 and is a practicing ObGyn within the group, spoke enthusiastically about the partnership and the potential it brings to deepen WHASN’s market presence and influence. “We really wanted a partner that shared the dual vision of leveraging the influence and efficiencies of a large group with the care delivery of small, private setting. After an exhaustive search, Women’s Health USA was the only choice that fit with our long-term growth plan.” Rebecca Herrero, M.D., president for the group added “By working with Women’s Health USA and their bench of experts, we’ll be able to move the ball forward more quickly on some of our key expansion initiatives. Ultimately, our goal is to more deeply reach into our communities of women throughout Nevada and neighboring states to provide the most efficient and effective access to quality, patient-centric care.”

WHASN is a group of over 50 ObGyn physicians and 30 mid-level providers in the Southern Nevada area. The practice has 20 office locations in and around the Las Vegas metro area. The addition of this new partnership expands Women’s Health USA’s footprint as a premier national women’s health services company – now active in 7 states and serving more than 750,000 patients annually.
