UBCF’s COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program invites female and male breast cancer patients to apply for emergency aid. Recipients will receive online gifts to help with expenses and stress relief: an Amazon Gift Card, a 60 day free trial to Daily Burn, and a lifetime subscription to the app, Elly.
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (PRWEB)

The Coronavirus has crippled the economy, causing fear and financial stress for many, especially for cancer patients. United Breast Cancer Foundation launched their COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program in May, inviting breast cancer patients to apply for emergency aid. UBCF’s goal with this program is to support breast cancer patients during this unprecedented time, aiming to make sheltering at home a little easier.
Male and female breast cancer patients currently in treatment are invited to apply to the program. Recipients will receive a variety of online gifts to help with expenses and stress relief. This includes an Amazon Gift Card, a 60 day free trial to Daily Burn, and a lifetime subscription to the app, Elly. Daily Burn and Elly are apps aimed to improve people’s quality of life. Daily Burn is an app that provides users with access to over 1,000 different daily workouts. Elly is the first empathetic audio companion that aims to help improve cancer patients overall wellbeing. The COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Award is valued at over $700.00. To date, UBCF has assisted over 40 breast cancer patients through this program.
The application may be found here. UBCF is processing requests through email and our online application only. UBCF asks that applicants only apply one time for this award.
UBCF COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program recipients have been very grateful. Anna expressed her appreciation, “Thank you so much – what a generous gift! I will definitely enjoy using the Amazon gift card while undergoing chemo and being in quarantine. This cancer journey isn’t one I ever would have chosen for myself, but I can see many ways God has used it in my life teaching me to truly trust Him and His goodness, whether it looks like I would have imagined or not. But one of the ways I SEE it is through the amazing kindness of so many along the way. Thank you for being an encouragement to me right now!”.
Another UBCF award recipient, Naomi, shared,“This is such an incredible blessing to me and my family. I cannot thank UBCF and the people who run it enough for your generosity. It came at the perfect time for my family. May God bless you and your organization, as you bless others.”
UBCF is honored to help breast cancer patients during this difficult time and hopes to relieve some of the financial burdens and stress that comes with sheltering at home. The program remains open to male and female breast cancer patients until funds are exhausted. For more information contact, please call 1-877-822-4287 x715 or email programs@ubcf.org.
