United Breast Cancer Foundation Sets $15,000 Goal for Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a great way to show your support for thousands of women and men fighting breast cancer across our nation right now. Just a few dollars will really help support someone in need. Breast Cancer isn’t waiting for the pandemic to end, and neither are we.

United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF), a Guidestar Platinum rated charity, is pleased to announce their participation in Giving Tuesday. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 1st. After two days of good deals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a day for giving back. The global Giving Tuesday movement started in 2012 and has raised millions of dollars, emphasizing the power of people and organizations to do good. This year, kick off the holiday season by giving back and donating to UBCF!

UBCF’s goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise $15,000.00 to help fund the UBCF COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program, supporting male and female breast cancer patients during this unprecedented time. Recipients receive a variety of online gifts to help with expenses, stress relief and to make sheltering at home a little easier. The award, valued at nearly $900, includes an Amazon gift card, ebooks, emovies, 6 months free access to The Daily Burn, and a lifetime subscription to the motivational and supportive app, Elly.

UBCF Director of Operations, Beth Reichart, shared, “Giving Tuesday is a great way to show your support for thousands of women and men fighting breast cancer across our nation right now. Just a few dollars will really help support someone in need.” Beth went on to say, “Breast Cancer isn’t waiting for the pandemic to end, and neither are we. Join us December 1st and make a real difference through Giving Tuesday!”

Donors can directly help further UBCF’s mission to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Giving $100 can help a patient struggling to pay her mortgage and afford her treatments. Just $50 can help cover holistic therapies and a gift of $15 will help cover a breast screening for a woman or man in need. Donations both large and small make a huge difference for breast cancer patients and survivors as well as their family members.

One of our clients, Kim Dobres, explains, “Without the love and the generosity of the United Breast Cancer Foundation donors I wouldn’t have been able to get this far.” UBCF hopes that during this holiday season people will harness the power of their generosity to help change others’ lives for the better.

Please donate on Giving Tuesday. Thanks to your support, UBCF is truly making a difference in the lives of women, men and families directly impacted by breast cancer. Visit ubcf.org, to make your secure, tax-deductible contribution. Thank you!
