TRX Systems, developer of NEON® GPS-Denied Location Solutions, announced today the release of the NEON Enterprise Server (NES), a private, secure, and containerized version of the 3D map and location capabilities provided by the NEON Cloud. The release of the NES provides a self-hosting option for government agencies, commercial enterprises, and military operators that cannot leverage NEON’s commercial cloud services.
NEON provides location and mapping technology for public safety, industrial, and military applications. TRX’s NEON Location Service software enables seamless tracking for personnel operating indoors, underground, and on the battlefield where GPS is naturally and often intentionally denied. With the release of the NEON Enterprise Server, the full 3D and indoor suite of NEON software capabilities can now be flexibly leveraged by both online and private network users.
The NES provides storage and sharing of map and building data as well as a real-time messaging service to share GPS-denied, 3D location data between users. Delivered in widely utilized, efficient, and portable Docker containers, the NES can be hosted in private data centers as well as on hardware on-premises or in the field. The NES runs on the end user’s hardware or private cloud networks and does not require internet connectivity as all services functionality and data can be maintained locally.
“Seamless personnel location and tracking is important for the situational awareness that helps keep first responders, warfighters, and security personnel safe in challenging and diverse operational environments,” said Jeff Kunst, Vice President of Product at TRX Systems. “The new NES capability provides the flexibility to operate indoors with enhanced location accuracy even when internet connectivity is not possible.”
