Respected Omaha, NE oral surgeons, Drs. Jerome Wees, Benjamin Anderson and John Wewel, recently hosted the Team Jack Foundation’s “An Evening with Napa Valley” event at the Happy Hollow Country Club. The event offered attendees the opportunity to taste highly sought-after wine and food pairings, while learning about the Team Jack’s Pediatric Brain Tumor Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, NE. The Team Jack Foundation is a multi-disciplinary childhood brain tumor foundation and is raising awareness to their cause.

During the event, attendees sampled featured wines from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in Napa Valley, CA along with heavy hors d’oeuvres. Attendees also learned about Team Jack’s Pediatric Brain Tumor Program and the mission it upholds. In 2013, the Team Jack Foundation and Nebraska State Legislature co-funded a $3 million pediatric brain tumor program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Additionally, Team Jack Foundation pledged $5 million to the POWER5 Brain Cancer Initiative campaign. Proceeds from “An Evening with Napa Valley” as well as wine purchases made from the event helped fund the Team Jack Foundation.
