The Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF) today announced that it has established the DSF Endowment Fund. The purpose of the Endowment is to support the mission of the Foundation by providing an alternative source of funds for current and future use. The endowment has two primary goals. First, the principal of the endowment’s assets must be preserved in perpetuity; second, the endowment should strive to achieve investment returns sufficient to supplement ongoing Foundation operations. The Foundation endeavors to grow the endowment so that it represents an even larger source of funding for future generations.
The Foundation welcomes those who support DSF’s mission to make donation to the Endowment Fund. Donations to the endowment may be made by contacting DSF’s accountant, Jamie Cohen at jamie@dravetfoundation.

About Dravet syndrome
Dravet syndrome is a rare and catastrophic form of intractable epilepsy that begins in the first year of life and affects 1:15,700 individuals. Patients suffer from frequent and multiple seizure types, including prolonged seizures, throughout their life. As they age, other health comorbidities arise including developmental delays, sleep difficulties, and gait issues. Patients will never live independently and the quality of life for the patient and family is severely impacted.
