Testing.com, a trusted informational guide for medical lab testing and at-home screening, has published a survey about how Americans are responding to safety recommendations from the government and public health officials. The study examines responses from adults ages 18 to 55+ and identifies Millennials as the group least likely to change routines or practice social distancing. The survey also compares reported behavior patterns among Generation X and Baby Boomers.

According to experts at Testing.com, the recent study indicates a disparity in how people from different age groups are changing daily activities and following safety guidelines. Among Millennials, 1 out of 4 said they would not self-quarantine if tested positive for COVID-19 and more than 30 percent said they would still leave home even if they had symptoms. Whereas, over 85 percent of Baby Boomers, age 55 and older, and 75 percent of Generation Xers would completely self-quarantine if they had coronavirus symptoms. The survey includes responses from 1,209 Americans across all three generational groups.

Testing.com partnered with YouGov to conduct the study to educate the public about the current health crisis. To view the detailed report, please visit https://www.testing.com/millennials-coronavirus-testing/
