Special Learning, Inc. Joins a California Grant Consortium to Help Individuals Obtain Education and Find Employment Opportunities in the Autism and Special Needs Field

Special Learning, Inc. is the leading global provider of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) solutions. The company is passionate about changing the lives of people with autism and other special needs.

It has recently joined a grant consortium in California focused on helping people find employment opportunities. Special Learning will be providing some of the key components of a comprehensive training and career development program. The organization will also be helping connect individuals with employers in the state of California who have agreed to participate in an externship program. The training, recruiting and externship components of the program are being delivered at no cost to the individuals or organizations that choose to participate.

HOW DOES THE GRANT WORK?


  • Individuals interested in the program go through a thorough intake process
  • Accepted trainees receive specific program education through all of the grant partners, including Special Learning Inc.
  • Successful candidates participate in an internship program with full support and guidance from the consortium

EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Once candidates have completed the steps outlined above they are placed in a 60 – 90 day externship program.

The consortium pays for each participant’s time and expenses. Following the externship, organizations have the opportunity to hire the candidate full or part-time.
