Solace Wellness Center in Tewksbury, MA expands menu with The Vivos® Sleep Apnea Treatment, a ground-breaking new therapy for sleep apnea.

The Vivos System treats the root cause for sleep apnea, not just the symptoms, providing long-lasting relief without surgery, drugs or downtime.

Drs. Elaine Wu and James Wu of Solace Wellness Center are thrilled to offer a groundbreaking new therapy for sleep apnea called The Vivos® Sleep Apnea Treatment. Both doctors are certified Vivos Integrated Providers who can custom-design the Vivos biomimetic airway remodeling medical device to anyone’s needs. Only certified Vivos providers may administer the Vivos treatment.

What is the Vivos System for Sleep Apnea?

The Vivos System is a multidisciplinary treatment protocol that is meant to treat sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing issues. The Vivos System addresses a common cause of obstructive sleep apnea —the failure of the upper or lower jaw to develop properly. This condition often results in a compromised upper and lower airway.

The Vivos treatment involves wearing a customized mouth device for 12 to 24 months, ideally for 16 hours each day for maximum results. The FDA-cleared Vivos device is specially designed — and tailored to the precise anatomical measurements of the patient’s upper and lower jaw — to help remodel the airway and improve oxygen flow. Best of all, the Vivos System treats the root cause for sleep apnea, not just the symptoms, providing long-lasting relief without surgery, drugs or downtime.

How exactly does the Vivos System for sleep apnea work?

Pneumopedics® is the physiologic enhancement of the upper airway via naturally occurring and treatment-induced changes over time. The Vivos System incorporates the science of pneumopedics in its treatment protocols for addressing a smaller upper and lower jaw. The Vivos System remodels the airway space, improving the oxygen flow that the brain and body need to rejuvenate while sleeping.

Once the patient’s physician has properly diagnosed them with sleep apnea, a specially trained dentist will design a custom Vivos biomimetic medical device. The patient will wear the Vivos device, as directed by their dentist, between 12 and 24 months, primarily in the evening and at night while asleep.

About Solace Wellness Center

Solace means peaceful, restful, soothing, supportive. At Solace Wellness Center & MedSpa, we believe that true wellness is developed with a proper balance in an individual’s physical, emotional and spiritual self. The Solace team is focused on providing personalized skin and body care programs that bring lasting improvements to one’s physical self while enriching the mind and spirit.

Dr. James Wu’s concept of integrative wellness was developed as he observed the health of his patients. Even with the many advances in medicine, his patients were showing up in increasingly poor overall health with each passing year. Through scientific research, he became convinced that chronic inflammation in the body is the culprit behind many diseases ranging from cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke, gum and mouth disease, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and even certain cancers.

Because the skin is one of the ways damage and disease enters the body, caring for the skin and body proves to be an integral part of physical and total well-being. The Solace approach is to provide the most advanced anti-aging skin and body treatments while emphasizing prevention and relaxation as part of healing and optimal wellness.
