Siemens Healthineers has donated new X-ray, ultrasound and clinical laboratory equipment, valued at more than $1,000,000, to Medisend College of Biomedical Engineering Technology to help advance the education and training of US military veterans in the General Richard B Myers Veterans Program. The equipment donated by Siemens Healthineers will be housed in the new Touchstone Imaging Laboratories at Medisend College where students will benefit from the latest imaging technologies.

We are proud to partner with General Myers and Medisend College to help train our veterans for professional careers in the healthcare industry as they endeavor to return to civilian life,” said Ron Pellegrini, VP of Siemens Healthineers.

Medisend College has been training veterans and successfully placing them in positions with major healthcare organizations since 2013. The Siemens Healthineers’ relationship with Medisend has played a major role in the college becoming a leading provider of biomedical engineering technology training in the US, playing key advisory roles, offering professional workshops, hiring graduates and donating essential training equipment.
