Integritas Communications, in collaboration with Global Education Group, is offering a virtual, educational activity to improve the understanding and treatment of pediatric asthma.
A Breath of Fresh Air in Pediatric Asthma: Shared Decision-making in the Era of Biologics is specifically designed to educate allergists, pulmonologists, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with pediatric asthma.
Currently, more than 5.5 million children in the United States have been diagnosed with asthma.1 Among this population, an estimated 5% suffer from severe asthma and require treatment.2,3 Imposing life-threatening exacerbations, asthma is among the top 3 reasons children are hospitalized.4 A Breath of Fresh Air in Pediatric Asthma: Shared Decision-making in the Era of Biologics is designed to give participants critical insight into characteristics, underlying pathophysiology and treatment rationale of pediatric asthma. Through interactive faculty discussion, this activity emphasizes key elements of shared decision-making as it relates to managing those with pediatric asthma.
