Stress coping is behavior that has been shown to be effective in reducing stress when practiced during times of distress. They are methods that are highly related to cognitive behavioral therapy, such as encouraging a change of pace and positive thinking.
In SELF MIND, stress coping can be performed from the “coping library” within the app. This feature allows users to practice coping methods on their smartphones wherever and whenever they feel stressed. All coping methods are based on those reported by research institutes such as Stanford University and the University of Texas to be effective against stress. A total of 10 stress coping exercises are currently available in the app, with more to be added in the future.
