Safentri announces the addition of Dr. Gil Price, who will serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the company. The partnership will expand the company’s insights by adding a medical perspective to ensure its multi-tenant screening platform retains a leading-edge position in a rapidly evolving space.

Dr. Price will apply his experience as a clinical trialist trained in Internal medicine and a long-standing interest in novel drug development, drug utilization, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology government regulation. In his role, he will monitor evolving methods and solutions to prevent, detect and treat COVID and other infectious diseases, and advise on best practices and standards that can be incorporated into the Safentri app.

“We know that non-pharmaceutical interventions such as, stay-at-home, have been effective but from a basic societal standpoint, we need to increase our level of functioning.” says Dr. Price “By applying predictive analytics and signaling algorithms to Safentri data we can project a meaningful impact on effectiveness of safe re-entry to the workplace and world at large.”

Safentri is adding this new capability to the expert legal advice provided by partner Hall Booth Smith. The combination will provide businesses and facilities operators with the latest medical information pertaining to current and future infectious diseases, wrapped in a legally informed process and protocol.

About Dr. Gil Price

Before joining Safentri, Dr. Price served as CEO of Drug Safety Solutions, recently acquired by ProPharma Group. Dr. Price has also served as the Director of Clinical Development for oncology at MedImmune, Inc., the biologics subsidiary of AstraZeneca. Dr Price began his pharmaceutical career at Glaxo Inc. in Research Triangle Park, NC. While there, he worked nearly nine years in roles of increasing responsibility on both the commercial and research sides of the company. Dr. Price is an accomplished senior-level manager with over 30 years of diverse therapeutic experience. His responsibilities have included clinical program development, global pharmacovigilance, and regulatory oversite. He is a member of the American Medical Association, The Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and the formerly American Society of Microbiology.
