As we near the end of January, wellness resolutions and a commitment to an overall healthier lifestyle may be starting to wane. Where should someone start and how do you keep those commitments going throughout the year?

A recent global survey by Westin found that 43% of business travelers and 45% of leisure travelers have a hard time prioritizing their self-care while on the road. With those results in mind it’s important to take a few steps that will help you prioritize self-care when you are traveling or at home.

Wellness has long been a part of Westin’s DNA, and properties around the world offer interactive programs and experiences to help guests stick with their wellness commitments – at the start of a new year and beyond. Westin’s global offerings align closely with the trend-forward wellness resolutions that bubbled to the top of their global survey: eating better, prioritizing self care and work/life balance, exercising more, and making more time for sleep – all closely aligned with an overarching theme of recovery.

George Fleck, Westin Hotels & Resorts’ VP of Brand Management and Liz Plosser, editor-in-chief of Women’s Health Magazine recently partnered with D S Simon Media and YourUpdate TV on a nationwide media tour to discuss how prioritizing recovery and self care can jump start your well being in the new year.

During the nationwide media tour Fleck and Plosser discussed:

  • Results of the recent global survey by Westin

  • Wellness trend predictions we will be seeing in 2020
