Lucida and sister treatment facility, Promises Five Palms, welcome Dr. Laurie Deckard as she moves into her new leadership role as Director of Clinical Operations for the Florida markets. Partnering with interim market CEO, Barry Mannion, Dr. Deckard will oversee the addiction and mental health treatment curriculum for current and surrounding regions, encourage staff to continue their education with innovative training opportunities and set a new bar of excellence as she leads clinical efforts for Lucida, Promises Five Palms and future satellite outpatient facilities.

Previously the Executive Director of Promises Five Palms, Dr. Deckard oversaw the day to day operations and clinical programming while maintaining the high standard of care using contemporary, evidence-based treatment for Five Palms’ clients. With over 20 years of experience in behavioral health and 17 years as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Deckard has professional insight into creating highly individualized treatment experiences while ensuring staff members have the training and tools necessary to bring health and healing to clients. In her new expanded clinical role, she will work closely with Barry and the Lucida and Promises Five Palms teams to establish that all programming is comprehensive, emphasizing a tiered aftercare model that utilizes outpatient services and family support. She plans to expand currently successful, clinically sound treatment principles to outpatient services, such as those used in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, to provide clients with a smooth transition from residential treatment as they adjust back into their everyday lives. Dr. Deckard’s overall goal is to ensure the highest level of clinical curriculum is consistently available across each treatment center and to bring awareness to the positive reputations of these programs in the Florida market.

She will work with regional and corporate leadership to create an operational strategy that promotes clinically grounded addiction and mental health treatment services, whether that be residential or outpatient, in the Florida region. As this market expands, clients and their families can expect a standard of care that meets them where they are and creates a continuum of treatment that will help them reach significant milestones along their recovery journey.
