Professional Physical Therapy Continues Growth with New Clinic in The Bronx, NY

Professional’s latest clinic is their second in The Bronx, located at 1200 Waters Place, in Suite M113. Open November 16th, the new clinic allows for more space to continue see new and existing patients as an essential business.

Regional Director of Operation Mike Camperlengo remarks, “This clinic is unique in that we will have the space, equipment and clinical expertise to provide patients a continuum of care to meet their therapy needs, from orthopedic rehabilitation, specialty spine care or return to work services. We look forward to providing our patients individualized programs to promote a positive patient experience and active recovery. With a wall of windows overlooking a courtyard, free parking and ground floor location, it is a distinctly large and accessible clinic in Waters Place.”

Clinical Director and treating therapist Sean Altman, DPT, PT, CPT, states, “I am truly excited to bring more high quality physical therapy care to the Bronx community. In the wake of COVID-19, there is an even greater need for skilled physical therapy services provided with all of the appropriate social distancing guidelines. I am looking forward to helping patients receive the treatment that they need while maintaining their safety.”

After completing his undergraduate education studies in Molecular Biology at Colgate University, Dr. Altman then went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. While he is proficient in McKenzie, Maitland, Mulligan, Graston, and Cyriax manual therapy techniques, Sean is also certified in Spinal and Peripheral Joint Manipulation, Dry Needling, FMS, and SFMA. He also trained at the Titleist Performance Institute in order to better perform golf swing analysis and golf rehabilitation services.

Altman has extensive experience in the outpatient setting with patients including post-op, orthopedic injuries, prenatal patients, spine disorders, chronic pain disorders, neurologic population, semi-professional and professional athletes, with advanced training in Kinesio Taping and McConnell taping for orthopedic patients, athletes, and post-operative care. Sean is also certified in Personal Training (ACE-CPT), CPR, and BLS (Basic Life Support).
