PF Warriors is pleased to announce that Donna Hegdahl, President of the TransSynergy Group, has joined the board of directors of the PF Warriors, LLC. The all-volunteer organization serves a global community of pulmonary fibrosis/ILD patients and their families, supporters and caregivers. Their membership consists of more than 2,000 patients throughout the United States and 14 other countries.
The organization’s motto is “Patients Helping Patients,” and their mission is to provide the tools and resources for ILD patients to live their best life possible despite the diagnosis of advanced lung disease. Their efforts are supported by a team of world-renowned pulmonologists and research scientists who work tirelessly to advance the field of lung disease.
Donna Hegdahl is founder and CEO of The TransSynergy Group, a company she founded in 1995 to share her passion for marketing with entrepreneurs and business owners. She has helped hundreds of companies successfully get their message to the marketplace and grow. She added a second line of business to the company, managing associations – nonprofit business associations run by volunteer boards. The board members are busy with their “day jobs” and need help running the back office of the organization, doing things like: updating the association website, sending out newsletters, managing registration for events, doing the financials, and recruiting members.
“As PF Warriors grew, we needed someone with a network of resources and passion for helping organizations grow. We are pleased to have Donna on the board bringing her experience with other nonprofit associations,” said Bill Vick, President of PF Warriors. Shelly Mathis, board member, added, “we immediately offloaded some of our operations to Donna and her team. It’s great to add another resource to our group.” The PF Warriors were founded by Bill Vick and his wife, Patti, along with Shelly Mathis and her husband, Scott Calhoun.
