LivBar is honored to be recognized by the Oregon Organic Coalition. We take great pride in making our bars organic and hope to use this award to further educate consumers about the benefits of supporting organic products.

LivBar was named “Processor of the Year” by the Oregon Organic Coalition in the 2019 Organic Awards for Excellence. To be considered for this prestigious award, nominees are required to qualify in a variety of categories, including innovation in organic practices; service to the industry; expansion of organic business opportunities; and overall achievement in the state’s organic trade.

The recipients of the 2019 Oregon Organic Coalition (OOC) Awards for Excellence were presented awards by OOC leadership during a statewide tour of recipient individuals and organizations. Susan Schechter, OOC Board Treasurer, presented LivBar’s award in Salem to CEO Wade Brooks and Director of Marketing and Operations Jessi Freitag.

Brooks said, “LivBar is honored to be recognized by the Oregon Organic Coalition. We take great pride in making our bars organic and hope to use this award to further educate consumers about the benefits of supporting organic products.”

“We’d like to thank the Oregon Organic Coalition for their support of organic companies like LivBar,” Freitag said. “Everyone at LivBar is passionate about living and buying organic and also sustainability practices, such as compostable packaging. Together we can make real change in the consumer packaged goods industry!”

LivBar is setting a new standard for energy bars by creating a bar that is made from organic, whole food in a planet-friendly compostable wrapper. LivBar recently publicly challenged energy bar juggernaut CLIF Bar, and the bar community at large, to switch to compostable packaging in addition to all-organic ingredients. LivBar also does not use a co-packer and instead hand-bakes every bar in Oregon, creating and keeping organic product manufacturing jobs in the state.

This latest award for LivBar comes directly on the heels of the company’s nomination as one of the top gluten free snack bars by the Gluten Free Awards and their win as “Entrepreneur of the Year” from SEDCOR. Earlier in the year, LivBar was awarded “Most Mindful Consumer Packaged Good” by the Mindful Awards.

LivBars are currently available online at Amazon Prime, Amazon Subscribe and Save, direct from the LivBar website (http://www.livbar.com), and in hundreds of stores including Erewhon, New Seasons Markets, Market of Choice, Zupan’s, Garden Bar, and Roth’s Fresh Markets.

LivBar is distributed nationally through KeHE and DPI Specialty Foods.
