ProHEALTH Care and Orangetheory Fitness are kicking off the new year with a partnership designed to encourage ProHEALTH employee wellness in the form of free classes at any one of the fitness brand’s 18 studios in Long Island paid for by healthcare system.
Through the partnership, ProHEALTH–the largest independent, physician-run healthcare organization in the nation—aims to improve the health and wellness of the community and its employees with a benefits plan that supports physical health through advice and empowerment.
“Orangetheory Fitness classes are designed to guide and inspire your achievement of a healthier, stronger, more empowered version of yourself,” says Zeyad Baker, MD, President and CEO of ProHEALTH Care. “The classes can be tough for even the most athletic of us and are meant to push your performance, just as we do every day in our offices. But this partnership is twofold for us. This is more than a ‘free fitness class’ benefit; it’s an opportunity to come together as an organization and find common interests, passions, and motivators.”
As an aspect of the partnership, Orangetheory Fitness and ProHEALTH will distribute monthly newsletters to each other’s networks that share a fitness or health tip that will support the overall health and wellness of both communities.
“We are very excited to be working with ProHEALTH and to welcome its employees to the Orangetheory family,” said Nick Galanis, Long Island Area Developer for the fitness franchise. “We’re proud to join forces with a company that’s investing in their team. This partnership is a testament to our shared values, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide this meaningful opportunity to such a deserving group of people.”
Each Orangetheory class consists of a 60-minute, full-body workout that is taught by highly-trained coaches. The program is focused around heart-rate based interval training which helps members elevate their heart rate to the “Orange Zone,” which is 84-91 percent of their maximum heart rate.
ProHEALTH Care provides a full range of modern health care services for patients of all ages at locations across New York. Offering primary, specialty and urgent care, ProHEALTH’s team of board certified doctors and highly trained clinicians continuously strive to provide patients with the care they need to live their healthiest lives.
